Prob my fav Gundam entry. I just really love its story telling and use of music, always definitely the darkest one but also the one with easily the best final Gundam fight in my opinion. Bandit Flower is next of course
Agreed, Full Armor Gundam vs Psycho Zaku is a top tier fight. Next to IBO’s final fight
When it comes to other non-Thunderbolt Gundam entries, what do ya consider to be the absolute darkest entry of the entire franchise?
@@ludonymous526 Victory
@@somerandomdogontheinternet1338 Oh, yeah. That one. It gives "Neon Genesis Evangelion" a run for its money in terms in sheer bleakness.
I wish the Psycho Zaku, Full Armor Gundam and Atlas Gundam appeared in more media and games such as Gundam Evolution. They’re so cool, especially the Psycho Zaku. I love the idea of a mobile suit that balances incredible heavy and explosive firepower with agility in expansive for close combat, makes it really dangerous and unique compared to other heavy weapons MS that are really slow and too heavy to make any moves in a fight. It’s like a upgrade to Char’s Zaku, really should’ve been in Gundam Evolution or smth :/
Agreed. Thunderbolt had some really unique Gundams. A heavyweight Gundam more focused on explosive and firepower than beam output weaponry or agility, an underwater Gundam, and the Zaku you described. And as someone who used to play Gundam Evolution a lot, the Psychic Zaku would’ve been OP as hell
Every deaths in Gundam franchiace part 9 (1979-????)

This Gundam is kinda hard for me to watch. It’s very dark and the scene of the child soldiers in GMs getting wiped out is brutal. But I still love the quality and animation of this movie
And Full Armor Gundam vs Psycho Zaku is probably one of the best Gundam fights next to Gundam Alex vs Zaku Kai, Gundam 00 Raiser vs Reborns Gundam, and the final battle of IBO
@@arggyw3584 Well. War is hell.
Mobile suit is not a toy
5996, its only 4 OVA yet the kill count is amazing. XD
I really like Thunderbolt tho No Newtype, no Major plot, only 2 rival pilot trying to kill each other. (Altho the Major Plot will come later in Manga)
Aside from WFM, I think this and its second movie are the Gundam anime with the best modern animation out there. Everyone says the old animation was better because of Stardust Memory, which does have good animation, but damn is Modern Gundam animation clean to
All era of Gundam animation was clean
70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s (some may think otherwise cuz of Seed but 00 exist), 2010s and from the looks of WFM and SEED Freedom, the 2020s as well
Never heard of this one. The animation looks amazing though. Also wow this looks so brutal like the 15th POC kill, all those (I presume child soldiers) dying in those GMS and a lot of corpses. But this looks like it has early models so when does this take place?
It takes place after the first Gundam and before MS 08th Team, during OYW though the second movie takes pace after and during MS 08th Team. Please watch them for yourselves they’re amazing
@@somerandomdogontheinternet1338 oh ok, I definitely will. Probably should’ve watched it before I’d saw 07th MS Team lol
The manga it’s based on isn’t canon to UC but the anime’s status hasn’t been confirmed. So you could arguably squeeze it into UC canon.
1 question: Why are all your ships 422? Shouldn't number of crewmen on some classes of ships differ than that on others?
@@IlijaNenadović 1. I was estimating how many people were on battleships by crew counting and MS capacity
2. Basing it off real battleships and how most usually host up to hundreds
3. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t bothered to check the crew member numbers for each battleship considering how many there are in UC
@@somerandomdogontheinternet1338 Yes. Gundam information sources do not give us exact number of the crew on each ship class. Only their max mobile weapon capacity. Another problem is that some ships, like Archangel, Reinforce and White Base, don't need much crew despite their large size. I myself checked RL historical battleships to make my own estimates. I checked Yamato and it had 2k-2.5k crew members while being 250m long. The same size as Nazca-class. Except, due to it's structure, Nazca probably has less crew. I still think that ships, being different sizes and structures, they must have different crew sizes. 422 might be a number for smaller vessels, but not bigger 1s.
@@IlijaNenadović ur prob right. I’ll keep that in mind in the future
@@somerandomdogontheinternet1338 Ohh, and don't forget another factor. There is also the factional manpower to consider. Many factions had very limited amounts of manpower and would thus probably make their ships operable by smaller crews
Victory, 0083 and G-Saviour next?
Still tryna get Victory out of copyright. I already 0083 the video link is here ua-cam.com/video/O3hOzRILeeU/v-deo.htmlsi=g7fiBfZR6-3ZXFUc
And I highly doubt I’ll do G-Saviour. Not only it is not really necessary but it’s incredibly hard to find footage of it or sites that have it
Also, I still have to do the second Thunderbolt movie, Bandit Flower
@@somerandomdogontheinternet1338 the whole G-Saviour movie is on UA-cam
