That's the tragedy of the whole series, y'know. The song slaps and everyone roots for em, but the whole cast is recapitulating cycles of violence that no one should feel patriotic for. The whole series is an emotional trap, where the conclusion is "yeah no you can be Hitler too given the right aesthetic and narrative conditions."
Can we take a moment to appreciate that the majority of the choir had to learn japanese, not even knowing what the words mean, just to perform this masterpiece
@@bean9315 However what I'd like to know is how this sounds to japanese natives. For example, from a german perspective the german words used in the aot soundtrack are seldom far from being almost gibberish because the pronunciation is so bad.
That's basically all of us when singing foreign songs XD You don't need to understand it, you just enjoy it... Still need to learn the translated lyrics though cuz it might be offensive XD
@@christianklement I sent it to my Japanese friend and she said it was quite off (pronunciation, pitch accent etc). However, even with off pronunciation, we both immensely enjoyed the performance :)).

I must mention the fact that this version of song isbetter than original one. I know it sounds stereotyped, but no one give this video what it deserved. 8 month passed and still got only 22k like, even it watched more than 527.000 times.
