As you cleared it and it was flowing nicely at the end it was like the Drain Unblockers version of the generation game conveyor belt - turd, sweetcorn, tissue, more turds - didn’t see a cuddly toy or a food mixer 😂😂😂

Jetter 3 was jetting the entire length but it was only slowly coming out from the manhole, that suggests maybe terrible gradient or somethings going on underneath, maybe displacement

Wish you lads were in London. Middle of yesterday our downstairs neighbour comes knocking - the soil pipe on outside wall has 'exploded': waste all over the back patio, waste has seeped into her kitchen through the old brick vents, dribbled inside her kitchen, got inside the (cavity?) wall and into the sockets, tripped the electrics, shall I go on? lol. Brilliant day and what do I do? Watch your vids.

Was the 2nd manhole alongside the one on the left also a foul sewer? Imagining at the same angle the channel was running it will be likely coming from next doors properly perhaps? Or was it just a rainwater sewer ?

We're seeing it more frequently now,people are all for these new toilets that use less water on a flush but are still putting the same amount of waste down the toilet and it doesn't move
The key is to not cheap out. When I replaced my toilet the first time, I bought a cheap $99 “toilet in a box” (toilet, wax gasket, and supply lines bundled together)from a brand I’d never heard of. It would constantly clog. I got sick and tired of that a few years later and replaced it again. This time I didn’t cheap out and spent 2.5 times as much on an American Standard brand toilet. Never had a problem since.

I finally escaped a frightful beaurocratic job to be come a plumber. One sunny Friday afternoon, I was unblocking a drain, proper garden flooded blockage. And I thought, would I rather be out here unblocking other people's sh*t, or would I rather be in some f*cking boring endless futile meeting sorting out other people's sh*t? I realised that I had made the right decision. 🤣🤣

When you guys have the drains that are super plugged, why don’t you guys use something like a drywall mud mixer to liquify it and add water? Just curious.

So how long do you reckon this drain was actually backed up? Months? That was a lot of poo.
Seems to me that if your hoses were just a tad bit longer, you could clear these things a bit faster. Do you happen to have any other heads you can put on the end of the hose? Like a cutter head?
If you watch these while on the toilet, you get the smell too!😂
I'm confused. Even when you clear the drains, don't noxious odors seep up through the seams of the manhole covers? Or does the path of least resistance send the odors downstream?
Yeah, how do they not notice the smell long before it gets to that point? I live in the USA and our sewers are nothing like this. I often wonder why the people don’t just open the manhole covers themselves. I hope this doesn’t come across as snotty!
@@jmsmom67 cause if you open the manhole cover and fall in, you won't get any sympathy from the waterboard, best let the professionals do it. Also what would the residents have done? They don't have the equipment to deal with that kind of blockage. Also no, you wouldn't notice the smell at all, so many people have asked this but the manhole covers have a lip on the sides, like an upsidedown U shape, basically, they're air tight. A lot of covers actually say "Do not lift - Under pressure" on the top, suggesting the manhole itself is airtight

Problem was the break in the pipe because of different slope the transfer has a gap where the baby wipes hang on need a repair for smooth transition
Question for the Jetters… do the manholes smell like money before or after the clog is cleared?
