    Thank You! I like people who enjoy old audio technology and LP records, but also audio cassettes and VHS technology. - My beginnings of listening to Rock and Blue music were in the early eighties. Greetings to all. :)

    Hey, Dan ~ Great video, and thanks for the tour. It's wonderful to have a space like that, and I'm really happy you've got it. I have something similar, and it's my favorite place to be. I especially like your Pioneer SX-750; those are wonderful receivers, and the Nakamichi tape deck is a definite keeper. Cheers!

    Wow you have many varied but interesting pieces, you obvously know your stuff. They were made with metal & solid components that made them heavier when I started out. I should know I got my first hifi in the mid 70s. I have had a bout 6 setups over the years, the first one technics seperates with mission speakers, many friends often asked me to help them buy their systems, my brother in law used to babysit free so he could use mine & now he's married but he has a handmade expensive vinyl deck with a very expensive amp & speakers. I went shopping with a friend who wanted me with him, he did well & listened but I could not stop him buying 2 matching pairs of speakers because he wanted them each end of the room thinking it was quad.😅. I am now on my last system due to age & reture in a few months, but go for a simple attractive but room friendly decent sounding set up. It's rega planar 3 turntable, bowers & wilkins speakers 607 s2 anniv & Marantz cd & pm6007, its simple, a decent price & sounds amazing. I still have old photos of past systems,.When my grandad was my age he had a gramophone.

      @ENGLISHISBEST Thank you for sharing your audio experiences!
      I like to tell you that you got an expensive and an excellent hifi setup at the present!
      BTW, I got B&W 603 speakers, Pioneer PDS 505 CD Player & PL 15D belt driveTurntable, Akai GX 65 Cassette Deck, & Yamaha RX V1400 AV Receiver.
      In 1982, when i was young, i bought my first hifi, Kenwood Cassette Deck KX 50, Amplifier KA 30 (25 W.P.C.), Speakers LS 99. Now i am a 61 year old man living in South Asia.

    Great things! I like everything, both digital and vintage analog section. These Hitachi turntables are great, I am for hunt for a model like this for years, but not so many available here. From time to time one appears on the web an is sold within few hours.

    Love the music room and the cool gear. And yes, Nakamichi made the best tape decks. In fact, many folks got rid of their reel to reel decks and bought a Nakamichi tape deck. I was in high school in 1985 and saved and saved, cut lawns, you name it, to purchase the Nakamihi RX 202. I just had it rebuilt. Again, awesome set up and vintage Pioneer made awesome equipment. There are also still many techs that repair the old gear if it ever breaks down.

      Hey DM. That was a big get, back in 85. Love that awesome flip around party trick. Still on my “would love to get list”. I picked up a super clean BX 300, a few years back.. My 1st 3 head deck. Playback is almost indistinguishable from the source. I forgot how much fun making tapes was. Went down the blank tape rabbit hole, a bit, too. Snapped up some really neat stuff. Of, course had to get a couple of Nakamichi type II’s. Metal’s too spendy for me😂. 🍻

    Nice space you got there, feels very cozy indeed. I (like yourself) love guitars and it was cool to see your guitars and amp. I bet that old Korean acoustic sounds great, because when those were made, it was all about quality. Solid top and nice finish. It's probably one of those 'poor man's Martin' which are super underrated but have a lot of tone.

    Unfortunately, my ONKYO C-7030 quit working. Evidently, it no longer likes foot traffic. Specifically, when I walk near it, it skips like crazy (like some budget vinyl turntables of the 70s and 80s use to do). My other CD players never did this.

    • @janath9118
      @janath9118 7 місяців тому

      I am no technician, but I can say your player is skipping because the CD lens is getting weak after long use. Try to isolate the player from all sorts of vibrations.

    • @bikdav
      @bikdav 7 місяців тому

      @@janath9118 I already tried isolating it in as many ways I could think of. That failed. I haven't had it that long. I'm disappointed, but didn't 'pay a ransom" to get it.

      @mafi2111: If I may chime in on this, I'll say that vinyl is far from my favorite medium. But, I disagree with the idea that vinyl sucks as you said. I've heard some good recordings on vinyl. But, it's the recording engineer that made that happen. My frustration is streaming. Too my ears, many streams sound bad. And availability of music isn't always consistent. I don't have to worry about reliability with CD or vinyl regardless of the quality of the recording.
