This is no joke. Ive worked for several large tech companies and they are all VERY aware of being able to manipulate their audience. At facebook our tech leads were talking about this like they were gods back in the early-mid 2000s. It goes back to the beginning of the internet.

I don't use a cell phone, and my pc has no mic or camera. I have zero social media presence. I use youtube (not premium) to watch stuff and sometimes comment. The people who find this out think I'm crazy - "How can you do anything without a cell phone?!?" The answer is simple: I can do whatever I want. And my brain isn't being rotted. AND I don't have the sheer distraction of carrying a damned phone everywhere. It's nice. Everyone should do it. 😊

It's very evident what Google is doing, just try to search a controversial topic and you literally have to type it completely out to get results and heaven forbid you misspelled it.
What you will get for the first 20+ results will be what they want you to see as well.

The first time I realized it was right after the news about Kyle Rittenhouse came out. I saw the video of him shooting those guys on the news, and my first immediate question was "Why were those guys chasing him?". It was clear to me we were only getting the very end of some interaction, and that it very well could have been self defense seeing how he was the one running, and he was out numbered. So my husband got on our computer and was looking stuff up (Idk what browser) and he found info showing why Kyle was there that night, and a video of him from earlier on in the night giving a lot of context. And I'm realizing that there's more to this story. So I get on Google to try to get more info, and every single result was showing the incedent in a negative light towards Kyle. Every single one. Not even a neutral article. The entire first page of results was dedicated to making people hate Kyle. I believe it was a day later I heard that the guy who started the riots in Kenosha (some criminal) had raised a crap ton of money on Gofundme. And i was shocked by that. And I wondered if Kyle had one as well. So I go to the site, and there's nothing there. I was confused and so I go back to the search results and I see an article saying that there WAS a fundraiser for Kyle on that site, that had raised over $50,000 for his legal defense, but that the company removed it!!!! It further more states that another fundraiser on a different site had been made in its place, but then it had also been removed. So it was these experiences that made me wake up and realize how unbelievablly biased Google is. Along with other companies of course.
Watching this brave man talk about his wife dying was gut wrenching. The fact he keeps on going is nothing short of heroic. May God be with you sir!!

I hope EVERYONE is aware that our phones will show you videos IMMEDIATELY about things you discuss with friends and family. These phones seriously are the scariest weapons used against people.
Yet people carry their phones everywhere they go, all the time. Many would agree to have a phone implanted so they wouldn't have to constantly carry it around.
This is a fact and so scary to me. When I say something and then see the ads I freak out. Or when I search on my phone and go to my home desktop the screen I searched with the history pops up on my browser. It’s absolutely unwanted.
My husband and I constantly notice this too. Or we will be talking about something and go to Google search and after entering just a single letter, it has the exact thing we were talking about as the first search result.

This guy did a similar sit-down interview on Tim Pool's channel. A long time ago. It was part of his "The Culture War" series.
I was trying to find it the other day and discovered that Google has made that video impossible to find by accident. I would type "Tim Pool Robert Epstein Google" in the search bar. Wouldn't come up. The only reason I knew this video existed is because I'm a subscriber and I saw it when it premiered. So I knew where to find it. I went and found it and then I typed the title of that video word-for-word in the search box and it STILL didn't come up. The only way I can watch that video is going to Pool's channel, going to the playlists tab, select "The Culture War" and then I have to scroll down the list of episodes until I find the one with Dr. Epstein.
They do meddle with your information to the best of their legal ability. If you think that's far fetched or tinfoil hat-like, I don't know what to tell you.

People need to realize that there are plenty of options to avoid Google. Alternative email clients, search engines, video platforms, phones, operating systems, calendars... all of it can be easily replaced.
The problem is -- as they addressed in the video -- that no other search engine platform can _compare_ to Google in accuracy, which means they're useless. I DO use an alternative email provider, I don't use an Android, no Google calendar, etc... BUT, when I tried using DuckDuckGo and others for _months,_ the results were minimal and often not what I needed. And I _need_ to be able to look up accurate information for my _job._ So do most people these days. And consistently, my husband would ask me to Google something, I'd DuckDuckGo it and not get very many results or unsatisfactory results (like for things as simple as "restaurants in X city"), and then he would Google it, and get 10X the information in half the time.
So for those of us who NEED a good search engine with access to everything on the internet, nothing BUT Google works well enough yet.
Not to mention all the companies -- especially small businesses -- that rely on Google for their leads. Even if a lot of principled businesses stopped using Google, it wouldn't stop Google. Google would just recommend the companies that chose to STAY, and the good peoples' companies would die.
So I think the solution in the video is the only good one -- we have to force Google to change. What are your thoughts on that?

This could be a totally unrelated thing, but I have my suspicions. I used to watch Michael every day. Each 40-45 minute video, each 15-20 minute video. Then, I started talking about watching the channel to people and how Michael Knowles is my favorite Daily Wire host, and suddenly, give two or three days, and I haven't had a single recommendation for this channel in the past couple of weeks. Coincidence? Possible. However, coincidences compounded normally point towards a deeper truth.
The more I watch, the less I see of his videos in my recommendations.

I'm still a few years from voting age. But I have gotten a lot of influence on my beliefs from my parents, and I am SO grateful. They are former Republicans, now Independents, and their intense dislike for partisan politics has made me a person who is very critical. I tend to lean more conservative because of my religious beliefs, but in my family we talk a lot together about stuff. Maybe a conversation will be sparked by something online, but I think the importance of having real-life conversations with people is a fantastic way to protect yourself against that sort of outside influence. Different people are getting fed different information, and if we come together we can use what we know to discern truth and reason.

If anyone's interested, there's a British band called UNIT that released a whole album inspired by and dedicated to Prageru, TPUSA and The Daily Wire. I discovered their You Tube channel a couple of years ago and most of their stuff is excellent. I'm not an agent for the band nor do I know any of them but, to judge from their lyrics, they seem genuine. I found them by typing UNIT Andy Martin The Voice Of Reason into YT which did the trick. They have the entire album as a playlist. One of their tracks features the mighty Ben Shapiro, a couple of later pieces feature Matt Walsh and they do a cracking version of Columbia Gem Of The Ocean, too! PS No, I am not the singer’s dad nor am I their manager or related in any way to the group!

It's not that Google's database should be a public commons, our data should be protected at the level of the Constitution. There should be a digital rights act making our data sovereign to the individual. TOS agreements should not be able to supersede our Constitutional rights to privacy.
I don't think you will be successful forcing companies you do not pay to preserve your personal data in electronic "bank vaults". Some of these companies exist only to peddle your data to the highest bidder.
The best bet is to NEVER place data you don't want made public onto the internet.

I hope you are aware the internet was not created for people to have a private place to escape to. It was created entirely for surveillance. (Arpanet??) Any work/fun we manage to derive from the internet is permitted so as to keep us where we can be easily monitored/controlled.

The whole concept of inalienable rights refers to rights which cannot legitimately be taken or given away. An individual simply does not have the authority to give away his own responsibility.

That's why when I registered to vote during the last election, I checked "Independent", even though my vote is always Republican. I had started seeing all kinds of bias on various websites that claimed to break down the policies of all of the candidates - but oddly enough, not one single Republican candidate was represented. Under the Republican candidate names, it always said "Failed to provide information" or something like that. If will be a miracle if Trump wins this election. And if he loses, it will be the downfall of Western Civilization as we know it.

I use a Linux computer at home and a flip phone. Why does anyone use a smart phone to control their thoughts. Put down the idiot box and start thinking.
It's called a brain friend! I can make it think DESPITE what tools I'm using . I'm also a psychologist, a good one it seems (top of my class and the best they ever had - according to the head of the department). I use those devices against their own manipulation practices. Remember: when someone throws a brick at you and misses you now have a brick to throw back! You can make them miss. That's the point.
It's no coincidence that I'm actually a contrarian vs all of their core beliefs and agendas. Serves me well so far.

Google uses AI and has used AI for over a decade. It learns based on how we interact with the search results and the apps they provide. WE are the ones that are influencing the results, not the other way around. We are TRAINING it to be biased based on how we search over time.
You need to get them out of the public schools. Every student (in NY and NJ) is issued a Google Chromebook. Every child.
A better idea is to educate children on how to discern fact from opinion and reliable sources. Tech isn't going away so children need to learn how to critically think about how they use tech, the good and bad.

We can't afford to purchase all of the books and other items that I would need to give him the in-depth education I would love to give him unless they do this. I was trying to lookup where the courhouse was and instead of just giving me tbe address which is a straight forward search, i got 10 pages of "how to sue your landlord" " is your landlord breaking the law" "how do i get my damage deposit back" "is my landlord allowed to raise my rent" "is my landlord allowed to evict me" "how to get a payment plan"
I was like what in the fuck where is the damn courthouse google??? I just want the address.
Even when i searched "landlord and tenant board courthouse ADDRESS" i got all this crap.

Google prevented my blog posts from showing up in search lists. They never told me why or what I said that caused them to stop my blog. The only way you could find a post, was to type in the entire URL. This is a company that needs to be split apart. Plus, we need to outlaw the collection of personal data. Including location data and search history. No more tailored or specific ads. No more influencing peoples opinions.
So, for all of you parents out there who pulled your kids at a public school and our homeschooling but you’re using Google classroom to manager your kids, homeschool curriculum, you may want to rethink that approach.
And for all you conservatives who wanted Jim Jordan, as speaker of the house, go back and look how he voted to keep section 230 protection for big tech. Jordan was the last vote and he had an opportunity to end this monopoly and he sided with big Tech and the corporations.

The disappearing internet is real. Search for a term, it says there are millions of hits, they give you a few pages (including repeating hits over & over) and then it stops.

Legit several pages of the same biased info, seemingly regurgitated repeatedly with tweaks in headlines. Sometimes the info differences look like an AI agent using a thesaurus without colloquial awareness of language use. It has gotten So bad over the last 4 years. As an avid health researcher + autodidactic learner… it’s nearly intolerable.
And the contradicting answers it gives….it makes it obvious it’s biased
for example if I want to find a clip from Candace Owens on youtube, the first 20 videos will be mainstream media false narratives about her, and you won't even see her page for a while
