For whatever reason I find the nunchucks to be more comfortable than GC or classic controller. To each their own I guess. For time trailing, the only practical problem with them is it's much harder to get perfect/half chains. Since it doesn't register the whole sweeping motion as a wheelie, maybe only a couple points right at the beginning.
Lol nunchuck is better for chains One flick with it has an input of 3 frames while each time you press the D pad on CC or GCN you only get an input of 1 frame

This is the problem people have with motion controls. It's not how far or hard you swing it, it's just moving it sharply. Barely takes moving at all once you get it down

Tip on wheeling with Nunchucks: Have your wiimote. Flat(horizontal)with the floor. Better if it is pointed slightly down at the floor. This makes wheely-ing much easier. When flicking the wiimote upwards, don't make a huge gesture. Flick it hard but only up to a mad of 60°. Avoid having it flicked at a full 90°. If the wiimote if pointed slightly down, wheely-ing is way easier
the reason why the wiimote-nunchuck has the most world records is because motion controlled tricks and wheelies have frame leniency, so u get that without the wii wheel's inaccurate motion control inputs bc u have a stick
