- Join me as I tackle the final punch list items on my ICF house build. From picking up steel beams at the factory to setting ICF gables with my trusty crane, this project keeps throwing surprises my way!
In this video, I’ll share:
✅ The delivery of a brand-new articulating boom lift 🚜
✅ Battling strong winds that knock down a gable 🌬️
✅ A Dewalt impact driver’s painful encounter with my head 😅
✅ Successfully finishing the steel installation to wrap up this phase of the build
It’s been an adventure, full of highs, lows, and everything in between. Stick around for some behind-the-scenes chaos and progress as the ICF house build gets closer to the finish line!

👋🏼 i’m getting a lot of comments asking about me being back to work so soon. This video footage is about 30 days old. Thanks for the concern though!
Can't keep a good man down Hope your back to %597.5 Great Vid👍👍👍👍
So *THAT'S WHAT A HARDHAT IS FOR?!!!* Hope you're ok Geoff!
Oh, Geoff, I'm so glad you weren't severely hurt but hurt you were. Please wear a hard hat. Small things can hurt you from a high fall. I'm glad things are progressing well. Keep healing and looking forward to the next steps.❤
I've commented on the boom before: excellent choice, not only for the build but for maintenance as well. Please consider a harness. That's a long fall.
Safety first Geoff hard hats and boots always
Too late the cry!
Going to be a fabulous property.
Looking forward to the lawn sprinklers.
Hope 25 is Great
Well I see a big big equipment garage coming soon. Thanks for sharing. Hope recovery is coming along. 💖💖💖💖💖💖
Nice video Mr Bealy Good. The new boom lift will be a tremendous help with putting up anything on the house.
Mr.Geoff what a time saver with the new lift and a fun toy.
By the sound of your crane Chris will have to give you a lesson on equipment maintenace. lol Mabe also some equipment operating advice. Glad to see Josh saving you from yourself.
Nice to see the bealy hook being used
Tag lines on steel and hard hats. Ya, ya, ya, you are a cool youtuber, don't need to be safe.
I don’t have enough fingers to count the number of times I’ve seen straps fail! Safety wear is a must in ALL circumstances! Please consider using some, even so we can continue to have your build videos! 😉
I bet you can't wait to get back at it!! Thanks for sharing😊
Glad to see you out and about after the operation so soon . We missed seeing you on the tube while you were healing. L
This was filmed about a month ago
☘️🇮🇪🇺🇸 I was gonna say Geoff 🧐 iffn you don’t take care of your self you can’t take of anyone else. Please be safe in this storm blessings to you and yours my friend
Just went through an OSHA class . #1 cause of head injury , leaving tools on ladders. Were your hard hat , hard head ?
Hard hats are a good thing 😊
It's Beautiful! I've watched this form the start! So happy for ya'll! Great job! 😊❤
Hey Bealy.....the drill to the head may have helped and I'd call the man lift "hallelujah ". Wow wow wow. The project is terrific.
Bealy Classic Calamity. Still not up to the Kabota cartwheel into the dock house, but now you got new stunt vehicles, like the Long Reach, High Rise, Fish Habitat. I liked the DeWalt dubbing, "I dubb myself, Sir Bealy Smartsalot." Forget UA-cam's 'Ice Water Challenge', this is the 'Dewalt (Bealy) Good-Knighting Challenge. Submit as many attempts as you can, keep trying....knock yourself out.
That's one for the bloopers video.
Hope you didn't get too much snow/ice.
Rest up...👍
Look Geoff gave him self a hurtzy don't it. As always free entertainment at its best.
The bealy boom
Geoff have a sugestion the steel that is showing to the elements use you water proofing and spray it and aluminum Musa Anodizing spray Falls with undercoating you won't get the rust or the right or the corrosion.
A little suggestion when your hauling anything that you have multiple of like thst steel, pipe even lumber thats not band together wrap your straps around your cargo when securing then it won't slide around or slide back going down the road
I cannot remember what your roofline will look like….looks like it supposed to be flat but the gables are throwing me off. I guess I will “watch this space”.😊
Thank you 👍
What does OSHA know❓️😮 Oh, HARD HATS 😊
I remember my first time using a boom lift.. Oh wait, I never have lol
As far as names go its got Genie written on the side.
Did nurse Jackie let you out of the house already Geoff? Hmmm, I thought you were supposed to be taking it easy. Great job so far!😊
This footage is about a month old
Hope your feeling better
Where is your protective helmet?
In the container
This just gonna be a one story house any second floor rooms. any sketches of what it’s supposed to look like in the end with the changes.
I have some. I’ll show them in a video soon. Thanks.
You should submit this to OSHA as part of their "this is what you shouldn't do" video library.
(They actually don't have a bad idea video library).
Mr Bealy Good - Sir…. accidents can and will happen but please make sure you have someone with you nearby - how long if you were knocked unconscious would you have laid there before someone came to check…. either that or have a camera so that others can check.
Please take care my friend - hope the recovery is going well - stay safe!
I lived in N.C. for 10 years but now in Woodbridge Virginia area
For some reason after watching this, I'm feeling a zip line episode in the future.
Oh lord, I can see it now. "How did you and your new lift end up in the pond Geoff?" - Chris.
"We will can talk about that later, just come get me." - Geoff. 😉Just kidding. Hope you are feeling better every day.
Name it Jack as in Jack Reacher! ☺✌
Welcome back🥸
Big blue
It happens, many years ago i did the same but with one gallon open paint and what a mess it made on the floor plus all over me😂
“Walk it off” is supposed to be said not illustrated. I did like the kite flying. Impressive
Going to the school of hard knocks. Hope that knocked some sense into you….😂. I would blame the duck mafia for trying to take you out.
The SMURF PICKER
Bluford!
Have you figured out how to put a camera on the end of that crane boom and patent it? That way you could watch what is happening from the controls. Maybe a modified back up camera kit?
@@markpashia7067 I could definitely do that. 🤔
For all of the old women worrying about the hard hat, you know what is overhead. 1 thing about working on a ladder if you fall the ground will catch you.
The last video was something about being in the hospital, I was in a hospital, 1 thing I learned was that all I could do was sleep and hurt, and after a while they get real boring.
Take care of yourself and don’t overdo things.
It is "Why do it once, when you can do it twice for twice the price!" :P (From the movie "Contact")
Do you need to have a word with Scrappy Industries about a remote control for the boom lift ? 😅
Why is it , you can always put on more clothing in order to stay warm but , you can't take off nearly enough to stay cool ?
Can I open my eyes yet?
Reset the ‘days without accident’ count back to zero. Ouch! Get that hard hat on sir!
Call the lift "Alladin".
Probably a bit too late,, but NEVER leave tools on top of ladders, especially when you're working on your own.
Little blue Smurf
Man, I've done that before (dropped a tool on my head off a ladder). Hope you're ok
Wait....am I watching you try to set beams by yourself?
Yes. Successfully even.
Hello, friend, keep your hard hat.
Now THAT is why you should wear a hard hat !
Mr. Bealy you should have fall arrest on when you are in the man lift.
Walking under a steel-beam without a hard-hat, sir?
Articulating Boom Lift,,, = Abigail!
Call the Genie OLE BLUE.
Use the reach for fishing
It must surely be Jean Genie
Sorry to chuckle at you hurting your head Geoff but I thought I was watching an episode of Laurel and Hardy for a minute😂
It’s an articulated, boom lift name it Archie
Name it after the actor that did the voice for the Genie Robin Williams.
We do it right because we do it twice.
That’s it 🤣
They will be calling you Knot Head if you keep dropping a Impact on your Head !!
I was wondering what a hard hat was for?
Glad I could show an example
Perhaps hardhats should be worn by all people working on this project, especially when overhead stuff is happening.
Hard Hat???
Geoff look out oh wait to late sorry. OSHA does require the use of proper PPE . I have never seen a column plumbed like that before. Usually we use cables and turnbuckles. And after in your case the floor is poured and set up you can remove them. Thanks for the laugh. But try and be a bit more careful. LD18 needs the money.
The drill is ok.
Finally! Someone with compassion for the drill!
Name idea, how about "Jack" as in "Jack Reacher"
You sure you should be climbing ladders yet?
What was wrong with the captain
Month old footage
This was painful to watch, and even more painful for the man on the scene.😅
Hey Geof were,s that hard hat mate ,my compliments if that had been me the video would have lost its PGR rating 😅😅.
Mate this is a huge home if it were here in Adelaide you would need to be a millionaire to heat and cool such a large home.we currently pay 30cent KWH off peak and 50cent KWH peak for our power ,can ask what your paying in your state.
As always mate very enjoyable video
Kym
Adelaide
I’m not sure what the Kw rate is here 🤔
😵💫time to get a hard hat
Name lift Blue Goose
🙂
We know it probably still hurts to laugh, so we'll laugh at you.. Opps I meant to say FOR you....
Hey Mr. Bealy Good. Hard headedness is not a saftey feature . 🤔🥴
Liftie
HARD HAT , SAFETY SHOES, AND PROTECTIVE GLASSES ARE REQUIRED ON CONSTRUCTION SITES.
COMMERCIAL ONLY
@BealyGood the bump on your head is the same on a commercial site, take care of yourself and employees, commercial or not.
Well Geoff,if you are going to film construction for UA-cam,you must show that you use safety gear and follow Safety guidelines, especially for that lump of grey matter on your shoulders!
Scaffolding would be better than step ladders !
You want to finish and enjoy the build ,you need to change your approach to Safety ,a Broken Geoff is of no use to your family,I'm surprised that Mrs Bealy Good hasn't come on site and given you the hard word .
Thats a real nut spinner eh.
Have your hearing checked. I yelled loud enough that you should have heard me from South Carolina.
I was watching you do this by yourself...thinking...WTF is he doing this alone...after getting an operation... Lifting heavy beams...no one to control the load...and you ripped of a piece of the bracing... (and thought) something bad is going to happen.... BOOM impact drill falls of the ladder....where the hell is your hard hat...30 years in the steel trades...retired union journeyman Boilermaker...you are lucky that the battery hit your head...and not the socket...you'd be dead....
This footage is about a month old
Hard hat?????????????????????????????????????
Yikes Mr B!
That _could_ have been a whole lot worse.
Please get some brain buckets & have everyone start wearing one.
Mr BG, what are you doing, even if there is time gaps in your postings it is way to soon for you to be doing the sort of reaching we saw you doing, I say this having the same tee shirt as you have, please take some time to reflect on your own safety, there was enough talking points in what we saw. There is nothing out there that is so important that you have to do it yourself and take the several risks that I saw, please take care, we want to see you walking around and enjoying your new home.
That’s was the monkeys name
No sense wasting perfectly good hard hats to cover log heads. Smooth move moving the ladder and lifting sections. Must be a chimpanzee running the crane.
Doesn't make it any safer...only a second of distraction... Bingo ...its over...
Hello glad to see you moving around. January 10th snow day. Temperature 25°. 2025.
Nice. It just started snowing here
Archie
