I am so impressed with all you do. I work in healthcare, 63 years old and have been doing your skincare routines for at least a year. My skin is phenomenal but I also feel I have great genes. Recently told my coworker, a nurse practitioner who is 50 and has a lot of skin damage due to a lot of years in the sun. She was so impressed and excited to see your videos and can't wait to start your routine as well. Thank you for all you do. You are so honest and trustworthy and doing so much for all of us!!

On adapalene cvs and walgreens make a version , EXACTLY THE SAME AS DIFFERIN... at a much lower price point... in store coupons can be used with these versions... and DR DRAY recommends putting on top of moisturizer... LIFE CHANGING!

I do prefer the Differin in the pump bottle because it dispenses the exact amount that you need for your face and chest. (I use the CeraVe resurfacing retinol on my neck). The tiny .05 oz bottle has lasted me over 3 months using it 3x a week so it really is economical. Ulta often has it on BOGO sale. Either way, I agree that adapalene is a great product!

Fun fact: Tretinoin was developed as an acne medication just like Adapalene. I don’t have acne and my skin is not oily but I use Differin because it is said to be less irritating than Tret. I use it 3x a week and moisturize first with CeraVe PM. I have very sensitive skin and this routine has given me no issues. Plus it’s much cheaper.

I’ve probably watched this video 5 times to make sure I’m choosing the right products. I love the information you give as I know nothing about anti-aging skin care (I’ve been a foaming cleanser and $40-$60 moisturizer kind of girl)! Being in my early 30’s I’ve noticed my skin has taken a turn for the worst! I’ve gone out and bought a retinoid, 1 AHA, 1 AHA/BHA, two mineral sunscreens, 1 moisturizer and 1 gel cleanser. I’m pretty excited to see the gradual improvements and preventive care for my face, neck and chest. Thank you Angie!

Love your videos...you are very well versed in skincare ingredients! I wish the term "anti aging" would be changed to something else such as "better aging, or pro aging"...as we are all aging every single day! We cannot "not age" but age better and gracefully! Best of luck to you in your new beautiful home. 🏠 😁

Hi Angie! I began watching your videos a month or two ago and am a big fan! Thank you for all of the clear, sensible advice! It's such a pleasure to watch you, with your lovely smile and just seemingly very nice personality. You handled your recent events including that BIG move with dignity and aplomb, I must say! Love your new place!
Anyway I'm just writing to let you know that I'm 69 years old (but in no way feeble!) and have just begun a skin care routine for the first time in my life. You have inspired me! I am just an aging hippie so have been "natural" all these years. When I retired at 50 I wiped off my makeup, took off my bra and never looked back. LOL BUT now I have been doing my daily skin routine for several weeks, based almost entirely on what I've learned about the "good chemicals" one needs in our skin products from you. I made a few missteps, of course. Now corrected! My skin is really showing results! I still need a new mineral sunscreen because I bought one before watching your recommendations, and my Clinique isn't very effective. And I wasn't using enough. I live at the beach, literally! I'm feeling so much better about myself now that I'm taking better care of myself. It's never too late and one is never too old to start!
Next hurdle, what to do with completely white eyebrows. Then ... eek! Makeup!
    Thank you!
    A fan Kathy On OBX

I think if you're talking about sensitive, easily irritated skin, you should be telling us if the products you recommend are scented. My rosacea flares up really ugly with most fragranced products, and quite often fragrance is not listed as such on the labels. It could be hiding in botanical ingredients or perhaps some of the silicone-type ingredients, but I'm not a cosmetic chemist and I'm easily discouraged when I pay good money for something I must immediately return. Help us out just a little more! Love your presentations and hope you continue to give good info for all of us!

So unless you are truly whitening your skin for vampiric costume or Goth reasons, it should be fine. It's pretty neutral---I skew a little pink, and it doesn't make me look yellow, but I've loaned it to friends who are olive, and it looked fine on them, too, if a bit ashy on my POC friends (they'd need Dark, obvs).

Your skin care research and recommendations are the best out there! I have used both the MyChelle and Maelove retinaldehyde.....did not see much difference in my skin with the MyChelle product (used an entire bottle), and recently tried the Maelove. What a difference the Maelove has made in only about 2-3 weeks! Much less irritation (or maybe my skin is now used to retinaldehyde?)....either way, I overall like the Maelove the best of the two. My skin is so much better (I'm 63) since starting your skin care suggestions in June of this year, so thank you for educating all of us and for offering multiple solutions (less expensive vs more expensive) in just about every product. Have a fabulous day! (Still LOVING your brushes, too!!) (And we never get tired of hearing about sunscreen! LOL) Currently use the Australian Gold and Elta MD Elements - recently got a tube of their newest Elta MD Sheer Sunscreen and really love that one, too!) Never wore facial sunscreen on a daily basis until I watched some of your videos - thank you!!

I have used Retin A for a very long time and thought i understood much about retinols as well. When clicking on these products to purchase and test, i am confused about something you said. This product : MOONLIGHT RETINAL SUPER SERUM
    565 reviews
    Back in Stock
Meet Moonlight, an upgrade on retinol serums.
Our breakthrough was in choosing retinaldehyde (retinal), a form of Vitamin A which is estimated to be up to 20 times more effective than retinol.
If you had given up on high potency retinol or prescription retinoic acid products due to irritation, Moonlight is the solution you've been looking for.
This form or Tretanoin, (retinal or retinaldehye) is explained in the above description to be stronger than retinol, but from what i understood that you said, is a weaker form. ?? (Still gonna buy it and a couple of others above though to test out)

    • @meganNefarious
      @meganNefarious 2 роки тому +1

The ladder goes.. retinol (lowest strength, skin has to use 2 steps (I believe) to convert to retin a, least irritating.. Then retinal (retinaldehyde) stronger than retinol but skin still has to go through a step to convert it to retin a... Then Tretinoin.. the gold standard in anti aging.. retinoic acid..or retin a. The strongest and hardest to adapt to. Skin does not need to take any steps to convert.

Btw, I started noticing a wrinkle under my eyes every morning and a slight 11 and even though I sleep on my back, it would dissaoear after an hour or so but I realized it's happening in my sleep and if I don't do something will eventually become real wrinkles so a few weeks ago I started wearing under eye patches with a few drops of oil and forehead patch every night when I sleep and wake up with no wrinkles.
