The Endless Adventure I enjoyed your video, but since you request that viewers make recommendations..... I recommend that you try to research the subjects a little more, and like give a bit more information. But as far as your style of delivery, you're enjoyable and I really like how you don't insult the owners/employees of the food places by saying how gross or whatever, like when you waited until you got outside the shop to mention the fishy taste of the oil. Too many people nowadays are absolutely rude and that's just not fun to watch, I feel really uncomfortable with videos like that. Good job, I hope to see you go to more countries and try more foods! 😍 p.s. I realize that you're in a foreign country, but the internet and Google are still accessible, that's all I meant by researching the subject! Love you guys!
Awesome to see tourists trying haggis with an open mind. We don't claim to have the best or healthiest food in the world 😂 but we love it just the same. Good video!
I heard that the World Health Organization (WHO?) said that Scottish food is the worst food on the planet. That means that places like Ethiopia, where they have no food AT ALL, is better than eating Scotland's food. At least according to Danny Bhoy, the Scottish Comedian.
I'm deano from skelmersdale Lancashire uk . I went back to Edinburgh 1st November 2019 stayed in hotel locally till monday 4th and we got their When it was raining and left 3 days later while still peeing down . Nothing changes there was few hours where it stopped
Being from Scotland,(Falkirk, which is 20 mins from Edinburgh) I was very impressed by your willingness to embrace some Scottish food although deep fried mars bars in general are kind of a joke food that somehow has become known outside Scotland as something that Scottish people eat regularly but in reality its almost just tourists who eat it! Your pronunciation of "haggis, neeps & tatties" was excellent and the way you both have real mouthfuls of the food you try,not just teeny weeny bits like most other food trying videos do,is very impressive! Also you seemed to really try to understand and enjoy the atmosphere in the different places you went to! I really enjoyed your video, keep up the good work!
I done the Falkirk wheel and the kelpies for my 50 then up to Loch lomond I loved haggis but not to keen on the scotch pie but definitely perfeerrd the people than the food verry welcoming loved it so much I've been back to Edinburgh twice only 1 hour flight from Bristol I highly recommend it
Edinburgh's true traditional dish is a King Rib Supper. Mechanically recovered pork, flavored with msg and Chinese BBQ spice, dipped in batter, fried, served with chips and chip 'sass' and eaten at 3.00am after ten pints of beer in a bus stop in the freezing rain, then you traditionally vomit in the said bus stop before passing out!
Never seen a Scotch pie eaten with a fork, unless you have baked beans on it. Mars bars are quite the tourist thing now so they're really expensive for what is just sticking a chocolate bar in a fryer. They do put whisky in the sauce. Was nice to see you try the local foods, glad you enjoyed them.
We actually only ate the first two bites with a fork. We quickly realized your hands are much more efficient :D Yep definitely touristy, glad we tried it at least one though!
Next time try a Macaroni & Cheese pie, they're fantastic. Real Scottish food by the way. Scotch pies should be eaten on the fitba' terraces with one hand and a cup of Bovril in the other hand, come on you Gers.
Break crust of Scotch Pie, slather in butter, add heaps of fresh garden peas, add Sarson’s vinegar... Bliss. Then repeat... Also, dip Mars Bar in batter before deep frying...
This was great, I'm Scottish and I loved your descriptions 'it's like meatloaf' I would NEVER have a deep fried mars bars, so well done! I can definitely recommend square (lorne) sausage next time.
Hey wood1155, Do you mean people from Naples, Italy when you say foreigners. in L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele, Via Cesare Sersale, 1, 80139 Napoli, Italy, the supposed originator of Pizza where it is served and eaten with a knife and fork. BTW if you are in Naples you must go there, the pizza margherita is to die for.
OH Also about the haggis, it's delicious and a lot of people don't even bother trying it. Most common haggis (especially store bought) is actually made with pig lungs (only 1% heart but like 33% lung) and oats and loads of spices and let me tell you, load that onto a roll and flood it with brown sauce and finish with a bottle of irn bru and you've got your breakfast sorted haha xD If you ever come back to scotland make sure to look up Tattie Scones
nah haggis is better deep fried in batter .... traditional haggis is made with lamb plucks but both cow/ox and pig plucks can be used ... i used to be a butcher long ago and we used beef/Ox pluck instead of lamb pluck
We've been to the UK 3 times and all over Scotland, tho' not far north yet (the Orkneys is on our list) Edinburgh is still our favorite city. I love haggis, here in the USA you can't make it with pluck, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) does not recognize lung as a food, so it's actually illegal. People here react like I'm saying I'm eating dog sh*t or something. Or they say, "Ooo, isn't that, like, cooked in a sheep's stomach?!" I want to ask, "Do you like sausages? Yeah? Do you know what sausage casing is? No? Then don't ask!" Bunch o' pillocks.
One thing I have heard about haggis is that it is actually far more predictable than a lot of sausages, which can be filled with a lot of questionable meats, while haggis has it's ingredients strictly dictated.
I noticed that too. It also had very little batter on it but at least it was cooked properly. Some of the ones in these sorts of videos look too dry, the middle should be melted to get the full flavour and eaten while still hot.
You're right, it's smack bang in the middle of the tourist hub, where you pay for £200 kilts and £8 for 100g Scottish Tablet (basically crumbly fudge) Much of Edinburgh is comparable in price to London maybe only a little less.
Kilts are expensive. £200 is not expensive for a kilt. There are only a handful of mills that weave proper tartan fabric which is where most of the cost comes from.
You're never going to please everyone and if you try you would just lose your personalities. Personally I love your videos and think you are both totally genuine and unpretentious with a great outlook on life - you're great together just as a couple as well.
If you come back come to Aberdeen. Foods to try are Rowies (only found in Aberdeen) for breakfast. Have them toasted with butter, jam or honey on. For lunch have Stovies with oatcakes and for supper go to a fish n chip shop - you'll be spoiled for choice (Mock Chops, Red Puddings and White Puddings are my favourites)
This came up randomly in my feed and I’m so impressed with how far you’ve come! Eric you are so much more expressive in all your videos now it’s really interesting! Must be strange to have your life documented over such a long time like this
You do know that even though we're the unhealthiest people in Europe, no bugger ever eats a deep fried Mars bar? Great choice with the haggis - it's my favourite meal. And, yes, there is whisky in the sauce.... Sorry it rained all day - next time, come in May - we have ten days of constant sunshine when all our kids are taking their exams in school LOL
mate....I eat deep fried mars bars a lot, that and deep fried twix, fuckin gorgeous. there's a chippy here in Glasgow that will deep fry anything you want as long as you eat it. pure magic.
Your video productions are excellent, love the sound tracks, and i love the way you describe what you eat, in a quirky funny way Keep up the awesome work guys.
Samuel, blessed by the very hand of the Creator, you are. Some day I hope to trod the lands of the Picts, my forefathers, I'm told. Gaurd it well, til I get there. ;)
Hi! Veterinary student here. The lungs etc. are called the "pluck," because, when removed from the body cavity, they look similar to a bird (trachea = neck, lungs = wing, larynx = head). Loved the video! Keep 'em coming :)
Fun fact: most Scottish people hate Haggis! A lot of new comers and travellers who come to Scotland love Haggis! Thank you for showing of our beautiful city during the rainy season. During the summer, it's a delight!
Haha! Our family grew up eating "Tatties and Neeps" (except we call it "mashed potatoes and turnips") We ALWAYS eat it at Thanksgiving. Now I know the origin of it! Thanks you two- you are a delight to watch. Can't believe you really didn't know what mutton was, though- our Dineh (Navajo) people (and other cultures) eat it as well! Happy travels!
If you ever come back to Edinburgh you have to have a Fish Supper served with Sauce and Salt (Sa'ce and Sa't in the local dialect), that would be my last meal if I ever had to choose it.
Woah, I watched this video before I came to Scotland. Without realizing it(until now) I went to all the places you guys were at in this video, and got the same food! It was so good! I miss you, Edinburgh.
l have been to the birth place of the deep fried Mars bar..it originated in a little coastal town just south of Aberdeen..the town is called Stonehaven..there is a fish n chip shop there and the proprietor claimed he would deep fry anything, so one day some lads went in with a Mars Bar and asked him if he would deep fry it..he did and thus this dessert was born/created..
There's a pub in Ottawa, Canada, called the Highlander, where one can get haggis served similarly [without a casing]. They don't bother with a whisky sauce- they just give you a little container of cheap whisky to pour over. Lovely.
Ethan Nichols I know that, but that's the thing - they didn't refer to the American notion of pie as American, they used it as an absolute. It's a small thing, but it's still somewhat symptomatic and a bit cringeworthy.
it has only two limbs, two legs one shorter than the other, it then climbs up a mountain and when it reaches the top it cannot go anywhere other than around the peak after it starves to death it will fall down the mountain and then people like me come take it gut it then sell it
OMG!!! Having only recently discovered your channel, I didn't realize you visited Scotland! We went there in 2019 and absolutely loved it!! Yes...all Brits love their meat pies. this is just amazing. I'm so happy to have found this!!!
I'm about as English as you can get (well just a bit of Irish in there way back!) and I really love haggis, neeps and tatties...superb together, but you really need a scotch chaser to see it down properly! Thanks for the posting...you two look like real fun...
you should also try the deep fried haggis and deep fried black pudding..oh so yum..had them when l visited Scotland back in May this year and was visiting friends in Falkirk..
I'll bet I enjoyed my Cranachan at the same pub. Really good. Also sticky toffee pudding at a restaurant on the waterfront near the Britannia was amazing.
Love the way she says tatties. Also, funny that you ate the pie with a fork,. You can also get deep fried creme eggs, which is probably as calorific as the mars bar. Glad you enjoyed the haggis, it really is delicious. You could have also tried Stornoway black pudding with tattie scone.
I live in England and my dad used to live in Scotland then Cornwall lol so I’ve actually tried all the food on your videos- including deep fried mars bars n haggis, and my Nan made the best Yorkshire puddings ever! Glad u enjoyed!
rossuk123 Fellow Englander here too...I visit Edinburgh quite regularly! I love haggis and I'd go so far as to say I'd take a full Scottish breakfast over a full English any day!
I'm Canadian and love haggis, too - had some this past weekend, in fact. The place we went to served "Haggis Tourtiere" - a blend of Scotland and Quebec in one dish!
"Haggis originated in England not Scotland." - even if that's true, who cares? Canterbury Cathedral originated in France, but it's still famous for being English.
denise fletcher, not necessarily. Haggis can be very much an acquired taste. My sister is a case in point. She hated it, I liked it. Now we both love it, but, save it for a treat once (Burns’ Night) and maybe a couple of other times throughout the year.
I highly recommend The Carron in Stonehaven, just outside Aberdeen. Fantastic fish and chips, the deep-fried haggis is fantastic, and the deep fried Mars bar is just amazing.
Well, I have to say, these are my two favourite Americans. They don't compare eveything to 'back home'. They're going all over - not just the big cities. They genuinely seem to be enjoying themselves and they're immersing themselves in all the culture.
Mutton pies...the two tricks are the hot water pastry and the seasoning....mace and fresh ground pepper is involved...done well not fatty or tough...and next time...stovies...special fish supper...Scottish/Italian ice cream...empire biscuits...snowballs...Scots broth...
I just found you now and after watching this I immediately subscribed to follow you two. I love your approach to everything and the fact that you're open to everything new. Most Americans tend to make these vids all about them but you just call it as you see it. Happy travels, maybe see you on the road somewhere. Safe travels.
Yeah... that was a joke, every city in Scotland claims to have a place that originated it - Aberdeen was just the first to publicise on it (as by the running misconception that the people from there aren't that clever)
Haggis, neeps and tatties looks so simple but when the combination is well done its really good to eat, reminds me of my visit to Finland and eating Poronkaristys - sautéed reindeer tongue with mashed potato and gravy.
yup there is Lamb, 2 tooth, then mutton. Mutton is a bit tougher, a lot tougher if it is older that's why it is minced or cooked slowly for a long time.
Hari Om - only on the sub-continent, Shabhaz. Mutton is adult sheep everywhere else. www.google.co.uk/search?q=what+is+mutton&oq=what+is+mutton&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.1839j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
What a trwat to watch your travels and food eating. I have been to London, and loved their foods. Not been to Scotland, but plan on it one day. Kudos to your bravery!
I am having an Australian pie for tea. Totally different, but a very different 6th place to a Scottish pie. I have been to South Africa and they have some INCREDIBLE pies. But if you have a pie maker, you can make your own recipe pies.
Great video kids, I'm an Auld Scot in Canada and have ate the haggis (home made, every January 25th "RABBIE BURNS DAY" ) an' make main Scotch Pies/Sausage Rolls bit ah've never tasted a deep fried Mars bar, ma wife has tho' in Kitchener, Ontario. Smashing watch, keep them coming and Good Luck!
Burn's Night Dinner is so so tasty. My family makes it every Burns night & I make the whiskey sauce with Islay whisky's. Makes it just a bit more savory. Good video!
OH MAN! Not even I've tried a deep fried mars bar!!!! After watching this I need to get my finger out and try one ahaha xDLoved this video!! You guys are totally bonnie
I know this is an old comment but I figured you’d maybe still get it-I’m so surprised you hadn’t heard of deep fried mars bars!!! When I was young (about the mid 90’s) and living in a remote part of Scotland close to Aberdeen we would have one on a Saturday afternoon after getting back from our part time job-they are soooooo nice, but now I’m 35 there’s no chance I could burn off the calories like I did back then hahaha I hope you tried it!
These guys are a great advert for americans abroad. As an Englishman I fret when people laugh at British food. It can be exceptionally good. Well done you two!
@@Theendlessadventure Our American visitors had three tasty unhealthy artery clogging meals in one day. That is awesome, but they are young. Haggis or a nice Scotch pie will set you up for the day, you can go for hours without wanting to eat anything else. In the UK a lot of us have a laugh at President Trump's diet: Big Macs, Filet o Fish, KFC, all washed down with chocolate milk shake. How is he even still alive when that is all he eats? I eagerly await a news bulletin which reports Trump in hospital, in intensive care, and incapable of dashing out a constant stream of illiterate and ill-informed prejudices on Twitter.
@@rhondabitler2461 You haven't lived until you have a deep fried pizza.... I remember the late 60s- early 70s when pizzas first came out and no one had pizza ovens and so if the chippy had them he'd drop it in the deep fryer. Sounds a wee bit gross but you often got a few chips stuck to the melted cheese! It's often said it rains in Scotland but you won't care after having a deep fried pizza as the rain just runs off you as the pizza has made you 100% waterproof! Wash it down with Scotland's other nation drink... Barr's Irn-Bru... the drink of Champions!
I have only just come across your YT page and I love the fact that you guys are so open to try and discover new things, not what we expect from Americans on the whole. You chose a pretty good place to have the haggis neeps and tatties with whisky sauce, it looked very good. PS Alison is a bit of a cutey pie.
The reason Scotch pies have the indentation in the top, is to fill it with baked beans, so when you cut into it, the sauce trickles through the pie & adds a perfect beany tang to it! Yum!
This video portrays a very misleading intepretation of Scottish cuisine. The Scots actually survive on a diet of nettle soup, broth, boiled turnips, porridge, shortbread and water fleas.
Porridge should have been their first try, I did apreciate them trying the haggis being American of Scottish decent I want to try it but sort of want my first try to be proper-not sure if it is made right here.
I grew up in Toronto, Canada in the 70s and 80s with a Scottish mother. There were still many Scottish grocers and butcher shops there, so pies were common in our house. Some commercial makers still make decent ones we can get in Canada. One thing they had in common was forty tons of black pepper per pie. I saw a food travel show last year that visited some sort of local pie chain in [Aberdeen?] and their piemaking process confirmed that- meat and great sacks of pepper. Clearly, not every piemaker goes that way.

I'm available for Scots-English translations, Monday-Thursday 09:00-15:00!! 😂
@@jamespasifull
:)
Except "neeps" is not, and has never been, turnip, it is swede.
Thank you guys so much for your great analysis of my country I hope you come back because you're more than welcome... ❤️
you need to have scotch pie with baked beans on the side, combination made in heaven
macaroni pie too
lucylovinglife I
Beans, or peas, on top of the pie.
maaaate your forgetting the gravy on the top of the pie like a wee puddle!
You need to eat a scotch pie with brown sauce on the top and use yer hauns (hands).
Carol Taylor It is a fantastic chippy
Ive seen a deep fried pizza and it looks like a mess
When he went and deep dried a Bounty.... I about creased myself laughing 😂
There's a pub in Ottawa, Canada, called the Highlander, where one can get haggis served similarly [without a casing]. They don't bother with a whisky sauce- they just give you a little container of cheap whisky to pour over. Lovely.
It's great to see our American cousins enjoying our food :)
Respect to you guys. Most channels don't like to try new things.
"Although it's called pie, it's savory" - that's what pie IS.
Chingiz Zhylkybayev In the US all pies are like apple pie and apple crumble
Ethan Nichols I know that, but that's the thing - they didn't refer to the American notion of pie as American, they used it as an absolute. It's a small thing, but it's still somewhat symptomatic and a bit cringeworthy.
savoury apple pie cherry pie lol
Ethan Nichols
Steak and kidney pie, pork pie, chicken and mushroom pie....
Tancred de Beaumanoir I love chicken and mushroom pie
So happy you tried Scottish food with an open mind. Also, very happy you`ve discovered what a pie really is.
Haggis are an endangered species!
it has only two limbs, two legs one shorter than the other, it then climbs up a mountain and when it reaches the top it cannot go anywhere other than around the peak after it starves to death it will fall down the mountain and then people like me come take it gut it then sell it
Such a Scottish comment
can only be shot if the month has an "R" in it.
😂 😂 😂 😂 My teacher told me that in primary school and I actually believe it for about a year, I love being scottish 😂
@@toadmctoad3978 Cochrane is an Irish name sonny, the famine's over why don't you go home tae Ireland?
I love turnip, that looked awesome!
you should also try the deep fried haggis and deep fried black pudding..oh so yum..had them when l visited Scotland back in May this year and was visiting friends in Falkirk..
white pudding is magic
I'm part Scottish and it has always been a dream of mine to go to Scotland. Definitely excited to now.
I love Edinburgh! Enjoyed an amazing dessert there in a pub along the Royal Mile, called Cranachan. Mmmm!
I'll bet I enjoyed my Cranachan at the same pub. Really good. Also sticky toffee pudding at a restaurant on the waterfront near the Britannia was amazing.
Was brought up on mince tatties 'n' neeps. Still love it all these years later.
Drop the fried Mars bar, and replace it with mince and tatties.
Ohhh I Absolutely love Haggis ❤
I live in England and my dad used to live in Scotland then Cornwall lol so I’ve actually tried all the food on your videos- including deep fried mars bars n haggis, and my Nan made the best Yorkshire puddings ever! Glad u enjoyed!
Isn't it general knowledge that mutton is sheep meat? And I say this as an American.
Aye, it should be.
Yes, they're not too bright. And deep fried candy bars were invented at American state fairs, not Scotland.
Most people over here, if they eat any sheep product at all, eat lamb not mutton. Mutton is too strong a flavour for over here.
Mutton, aged sheep, not young lamb, generally curried...
That was NOT the reaction to Haggis that I would have expected based on he description. I'm actually wanting to try some now!
"I don't know if there's real whisky in it." YOU'RE IN SCOOOOOOOOTLAND!
😂
Like it's literally the world suppler of whisky
I know right!!!!!
Aben whisky is like the national drink

Its really interesting seeing people from overseas trying British food. Thanks for visiting our cold, grey, wet little island!😊👍
im english but bloomin love haggis
rossuk123 Fellow Englander here too...I visit Edinburgh quite regularly!
Haggis originated in England not Scotland.
Gobshite I don't want to believe you
"Haggis originated in England not Scotland." - even if that's true, who cares? Canterbury Cathedral originated in France, but it's still famous for being English.
Scotch pie. One of the oldest fast foods. Love them soooo much. Bridies and all of that. Haggis is the bomb. I love it.
I love haggis. It tastes bloody amazing with turnips, mash and gravy. I think those who say "yuck" have not actually tried it.
denise fletcher, not necessarily. Haggis can be very much an acquired taste. My sister is a case in point. She hated it, I liked it. Now we both love it, but, save it for a treat once (Burns’ Night) and maybe a couple of other times throughout the year.
Aye neeps + tatties
"Haggis , turnips and mash" ?? Are you English? 🤣🤣🤣
I highly recommend The Carron in Stonehaven, just outside Aberdeen. Fantastic fish and chips, the deep-fried haggis is fantastic, and the deep fried Mars bar is just amazing.
love a scotch pie with baked beans...hmmm
Well, I have to say, these are my two favourite Americans. They don't compare eveything to 'back home'. They're going all over - not just the big cities. They genuinely seem to be enjoying themselves and they're immersing themselves in all the culture.
Mutton pies...the two tricks are the hot water pastry and the seasoning....mace and fresh ground pepper is involved...done well not fatty or tough...and next time...stovies...special fish supper...Scottish/Italian ice cream...empire biscuits...snowballs...Scots broth...
Thanks for all the yummy recommendations 👍
Cullen Skink!!!
sam the man
And tattie scones!
I just found you now and after watching this I immediately subscribed to follow you two. I love your approach to everything and the fact that you're open to everything new. Most Americans tend to make these vids all about them but you just call it as you see it. Happy travels, maybe see you on the road somewhere. Safe travels.
Great atmosphere, I'm missing Edinburgh already :-)
Really enjoyed watching you guys trying the deep fried Mars bar then Haggis Neeps and Tatties 🎉Happy you liked it all 🤩
great video dudes! Love taste test videos. Ive actually had one of those pies before wasnt real a fan Im glad you guys enjoyed it!
Ah sorry you didn't enjoy it. I also imagine they are better / worse depending on where you go, but these ones were the bomb :D
Depends where you buy them... Not all pies are created equal and some are truly bad..
You can get some bad versions of a pie , its down to recipe really. A must try is a baked bean pie. They are amazing
Scotch pie & HP Sauce. Thank me later 😊
I’m Scottish. I’ve heard of these dishes but NEVER wanted to taste them. Thanks for the adventure. New subbie!
The deep fried mars bar originated in Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire
I heards it was Kings Cafe in Glasgow
yazmac you heard wrong
Yeah... that was a joke, every city in Scotland claims to have a place that originated it - Aberdeen was just the first to publicise on it (as by the running misconception that the people from there aren't that clever)
Aberdeen hasn't publicised it, because it was Stonehaven that did it, you nugget
blog boi it was in kings cafe an since then every other fuckin city has claimed they came up with it first
Well done our cousins from over the pond!! Even I haven't had a deep fried mars and I'm Scottish! Loved that you were so positive about everything!!
I have lived in Scotland all my life and I don't know anyone who has eaten a deep-fried Mars bar.
They're quite new, invented in Stonehaven in 1992 and relentlessly promoted by the media.
They're delicious!
Same 😂😂😂
Neither have I ....
Haggis, neeps and tatties looks so simple but when the combination is well done its really good to eat, reminds me of my visit to Finland and eating Poronkaristys - sautéed reindeer tongue with mashed potato and gravy.
Mutton is sheep, just slaughtered at an older age than lamb.
yup there is Lamb, 2 tooth, then mutton. Mutton is a bit tougher, a lot tougher if it is older that's why it is minced or cooked slowly for a long time.
+udrdoug it's still yummy though :)
Mutton is goat meat
Hari Om - only on the sub-continent, Shabhaz. Mutton is adult sheep everywhere else. www.google.co.uk/search?q=what+is+mutton&oq=what+is+mutton&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.1839j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
LMFAO! So damned old that ya can't put a fork in the tough meat! That's why Scots don't use a fork! JUST CHEW, and CHEW, and CHEW!
What a trwat to watch your travels and food eating. I have been to London, and loved their foods. Not been to Scotland, but plan on it one day. Kudos to your bravery!
I was waiting for proper blackpudding the whole time. In my opinion way more scottish than the deep fried mars bar, innit?
And of course the famous pork burger at Oink.
I am having an Australian pie for tea. Totally different, but a very different 6th place to a Scottish pie.
I have been to South Africa and they have some INCREDIBLE pies.
But if you have a pie maker, you can make your own recipe pies.
Sorry, Arbroath Smokie is Haddock not Kipper
Great video kids, I'm an Auld Scot in Canada and have ate the haggis (home made, every January 25th "RABBIE BURNS DAY" ) an' make main Scotch Pies/Sausage Rolls bit ah've never tasted a deep fried Mars bar, ma wife has tho' in Kitchener, Ontario. Smashing watch, keep them coming and Good Luck!
You're making me want to go eat some haggis for tea tonight... There is whisky in the whisky sauce! Just not enough to make it super alcoholic... :)
Do it!
Heck yeah, do it 😂 gotta have it at least once, right?
I know this is an old comment but I figured you’d maybe still get it-I’m so surprised you hadn’t heard of deep fried mars bars!!! When I was young (about the mid 90’s) and living in a remote part of Scotland close to Aberdeen we would have one on a Saturday afternoon after getting back from our part time job-they are soooooo nice, but now I’m 35 there’s no chance I could burn off the calories like I did back then hahaha I hope you tried it!
WeeScottishLass What does "bonnie" mean?
Good looking.
I can't wait to visit Scotland next year, my gf's family is from Kilmarnoch , so we're planning to spend a few days in Edinburgh .
Eating pies with a fork 😂you can spot tourists a mile away
Or when they walk into the chippy and ask fish and chips instead of a fish supper
These guys are a great advert for americans abroad. As an Englishman I fret when people laugh at British food. It can be exceptionally good. Well done you two!
We Scots do love tasty unhealthy artery clogging food 😊
Same with us Americans 😂
Love your honesty. I feel that way whenever I watch what you blokes in Scotland and England eat..
@@Jacobyte1746 Seriously are clogged arteries major health problem
I have only just come across your YT page and I love the fact that you guys are so open to try and discover new things, not what we expect from Americans on the whole. You chose a pretty good place to have the haggis neeps and tatties with whisky sauce, it looked very good. PS Alison is a bit of a cutey pie.
Haggis and tatie scone roll with brown sauce and 2 litres of iron bru
The reason Scotch pies have the indentation in the top, is to fill it with baked beans, so when you cut into it, the sauce trickles through the pie & adds a perfect beany tang to it! Yum!
You guys must ave piled on about 56lbs on that one day alone! :O)
I'm so glad you enjoyed our country, it's nice to see it from a different perspective. 😀
I’m from Scotland and had never had a deep fried mars bar “ think just an urban legend “ what us Scots eat
Mostly for tourists. Invented in American state fairs.
As a Yorkshire man who visits Scotland a lot,the best way to eat the pie is put it in a large bread bun with some brown sauce..Lots of butter too...
This video portrays a very misleading intepretation of Scottish cuisine. The Scots actually survive on a diet of nettle soup, broth, boiled turnips, porridge, shortbread and water fleas.
Aye, they didnae try porridge.
Porridge should have been their first try, I did apreciate them trying the haggis being American of Scottish decent I want to try it but sort of want my first try to be proper-not sure if it is made right here.
"Haddies and neets" lol. I love watching tourists coming over here. Hope it was a great time for yous! Great vid too!
Screaming pour it over yer tatties mate !
You were lucky getting a good scotch pie, they're usually stinking. I'm Scottish.
Pie meat is traditionally of the lips, nips and arseholes variety. That Piemaker place seems to have set itself some culinary ambitions though!
