Great upload again. Thanks, mate. This was a critical win on the way to the first Prem title. I think we lost just after this game to Oldham away before going on a run of draws, but then finishing with winning the last 7 on the trot.
David James coming for a cross and getting nowhere near it was a recurring event of Liverpool-United games of the 1990s.
The start of a great United team. Even as a Liverpool fan they were astonishing. And we were terrible.
Giggsy was phenomenal 🔥
What a player Hughes was. My word.
Parker knew what he was doing
This must be the last time these two kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday
All done without Eric, who'd signed for United just before Xmas 1992.
Souness "There is a heavily pregnant woman in France and her baby is the reason we lost".
i'm a liverpool fan. but i knew even then as an 15 year old at this time, that the great liverpool team of the late 1980s were now a spent force, and manchester united now at this time under the legendary alex ferguson were the new kids on the block in the early 1990s...
A terrible season from a lfc fan's view...souness frankly should've walked at the end of the 1991/92 season. or the lfc board should've sacked souness
Great quality for such an old game
Sky sports had just bought the rights for the league and satellite picture was as good as you’d get watching tv back in the day! 32 years ago isn’t old mate!
@@callumcc8897 it's been digitally enhanced I mean. Back in 1992 it will have been in 360p I'm guessing.
That was a wretched Liverpool team,Liverpool’s decline was astonishing.
Astonishing and fantastic!!

HUGHESIE
When Souness became gaffer in 91 Mo Johnstone was linked with a move tae Anfield but Dean Saunders joined. Mo ended up an Evertonian🤪⚽️
Kendall had that hanging over him during the whole of his second stint. Reason why the board didn't back him when he wanted Dublin in 93. Sold Sharp and Newell and bought Johnston. He was awful. Couple of goals against Liverpool, Utd and a decent Villa and that was that.
Proper football
Souness did a great job of turning liverpool from title winners to mediocrity. What an average Liverpool side that was. Rush and Nicol past there best and the rest wouldnt have got anywhere near the Liverpool sides of the 80s.
Ah but I played the game.. his ego still everest-esque today. He's not even in Britains top 50 players.
and moyes did a great job of doing the same thing with man utd after fergie's departure 11 years ago
Cantona
Why didn't he play?
@@DotepenecPL he was suspended, if I remember correctly.
Calamity James.
Peter drury commenator
No it's Ian Darke
He wasn't long out of university in 93. How long do you think he has been around? 😂
