Personally, I feel novelty is in the eye of the beholder. BusyBox is an excellent tool for many work-from-home professionals to keep unwanted interruptions from happening. It is "novel" in that we are new, but I think you're post is meaning it in a disparaging way. We get emails and reviews from happy customers who love what the BusyBox does for their space, so in that way, we feel good about the product and what it does for people who want to be more professional at home. I guess you could call a cell phone a "novelty product" in that we lived without them for a long time, and landlines worked just fine for a long time, but to me cellphones are essential tool now. YMMV. :o)
hahaha. If that works for you, you're right. That would only result in my family knocking on the door to get to the printer in my office. Thus, interrupting. I would be someone who forgets to get up and lock it at the start (and end) of every video call too. And, if I'm recording music a knock on a locked door (or a handle jiggle) is not audio I want to clean out later, so I'd need a sign that says "Recording,don't knock please." Hmmmmm, a sign that shares my status. I like that idea. ;o) Many ways to help with the interruption problem, including ours.
