    About:
I am a professional colorist and have worked with brands such as Prime Video, Adidas, Toyota, Vizio, etc. Outside client work, I run a color academy with over 6000 students. My channel mostly focuses on the taste-making (subjective) aspect of color grading. With the rise of AI, I truly believe that most of the grunt, technical (how-to) tasks will be handled by the software, and the job of a colorist will be purely driven by their art and imagination.

I'm only 5 minutes in, but I love that not only do I understand what you are saying and doing, but I have learned enough already from the master class (on camera modules currently) that I knew how you were going to set up your node tree before you even did it! thank you so much for your classes! I hope to participate in the weekly challenges soon.

Along the way the changes are subtle and not always recognizable as "better" but by the end, her skin tones are balanced out, the colors pop and the client is happy

Qazi, your UA-cam channel is not only a fantastic example of an engaging and enjoyable approach to learning color grading, but it also serves as a beautiful demonstration of a loving and respectful partnership with your wife.
It's heartwarming to witness the depth of your affection and respect for her - truly inspiring 💘

All your color grading videos are amazing but we will really appreciate if you could always put a link for us to download & practice with exact footage you use for your tutorials as to help improve our color grading skills and follow along better (I mostly take snapshot of the log files and follow along with you). Thank you so much for all you do.😇🤩

Question for you please, Waqas. Your (awesome) setup is obviously coloring-centric, with your grading monitor front-and-center, the color panel right there in front, etc. Awesome for grading. But since the computer monitors are off to the side, that makes it seem not-great for editing, or basically any task that’s not color grading. Do you edit at a different desk, or do you just change positions at this desk, or are you just so used to this setup that it doesn’t matter? I’m setting up a whole new studio and really struggling with this. I don’t want to make a second desk just for grading - that’s over the top for me. But I do want to set up the best complete experience that I possibly can, for editing, sound and grading! Thanks in advance for any insight you an share.

Hello, great tips as usual, especially dctl fonction i didn't know about. Just a suggestion, i follow you for quite a while now, and i will soon have to work on the color grade of a short CGI clip (real human subject into CGI environment). It could be very interesting to have your opinion about this, because the goal is actually quite the opposite of the one if you were working with natural environment. On CGI colors naturally pop, with a huge amount of color separation, which gives a fake feeling. How would you make it more "natural" and "organic" ? Interesting isn't? Greetings from France 👍
