As a purist Mod from the UK I totally agree!! The UK is full of comedy mods, guys with beards, I've seen one (white) guy dressed in "mod clothes" with dreadlocks on a vespa ... The scene here is very split, two very different scenes...
Majority are old guys in boating jackets, union flags and targets everywhere over the top (and I mean OVER the top, not tasteful like they are in Japan, which is focused on the more purist authentic style) accessorised scooters with no thought or taste put into them, and awful "sta press" from some garbage online store, or supermarket cheap jeans with 6" turn ups and doc Martin boots, and a gabbici (which is 70s wear not 60s) with a fat gutt sticking out and an obsession with the jam and quadrophenia, wide 70s ties, silly hats, jam shoes and no individuality, preaching to others what mod is ... it's gonna die out, I can see it happening, replaced with hipsters on scooters...go to Brighton mod rally in August, it's an absolute clown show 🤡
@@mickyfrench1965 I’m from Southern California. These guys do low riders too. I bet their rides are better than the ones cruising down Whittier Blvd in East LA on Sunday.
