It makes me sad to think about how Israel has had a great career with huge accomplishments but he cannot for some reason give props to alex for his success. It seems like such a one sided rivalry because Pereira only sees him as a competitor but Adesanya clearly dislikes the guy (for no good reason). I hope they can become friends later on (Alex has already offered to train with Israel before) but who knows. As a casual fan in my opinion Adesanya himself is ruining his legacy in the sport for making these unecessary remarks about an athelete the world has huge respect for.

Adesanya was defeated in some kickboxing fights because "hunting" the opponent and throwing more hard-hitting blows is very important for scoring, and that's something he never did.

The way he gave a quick sporting return and changed two categories after 2 years and 8 months in terms of cost-benefit was the best signing in UFC history in terms of sporting merit
Pereira never coasts to a victory, if Adesanya didnt do that he would have retained many of his fans me included, but that being said he was a good champion who stayed very active so i could never dislike the guy. Alex is just the more entertaining fighter with his kill or be killed fighting style.

You can like his fighting style and record as much as you would like. Ultimately, he still did not own up to the dog videos and still remains spiteful about Pereira's success. What he did is something a man should never do, let alone a champion of his caliber

His fight career wont be as long as some others but hes already one of the best ever IMO. If he has three fights left he fights the russian dude, win or lose after its aspinal then jones. With how popular he is id go straight for the jones payday then call it. The only challenge at lhw is the guy ranked 5th only due to being a wrestler. I dont feel at 36 hes got anything left to prove at lhw, id like to see him chase the bigger challenge and go for a 3rd belt
Jones is gonna retire after his stipe payday. I think he will knock out Ankalaev and but aspinall might be took fast/big for him. Unless he catches him with a left hook he doesn’t have the grappling to answer him

I was at a local fight night in Auckland last weekend. Izzy and his crew were a few tables over. The clowns at the table behind me yelled “chama” at the end of one of the fights and Izzy came over and just laid into them yelling at them to stfu or else. Poatan is living rent free in Izzy’s head.

Izzy was not the first fighter of his kind. Anderson was an elite striker as well. Even though he wasn't a decorated kickboxer his skills were elite enough to have been a legend in that sport as well. Izzy beat him but Silva was far past his prime.
