Im 58 and i watch you videos from Ukraine! Ive been taking care of my 84 year mom for a few month and i myself got a herniated disc L5 S1! Thank you for you videos very much!
Sir Will 🙏 Please consider doing More of these follow along video's... They not only allow perfect demonstration of the exercise but allows the person to view and correct every facet of these helpfull exercises... Very Grateful, Thankful for All you do for literally the people around the world who are viewing these video's...
@HT-Physio Sir Will thanks for the response. I'm a Night nurse 7pm-7am. I Literally Love your follow along demonstrations and was just inquiring do you offer any type of follow along workout videos like for full body etc, strengthening etc more than just what's shown on UA-cam.
Love this core video Will. So well demonstrated especially for people like me...a 66 year old suffering aches and pains with dodgy knees. Will be doing these daily. Just purchased your book and it's brilliant. So easy to understand and well written. Thanks Little Sue.
So pleased you liked the video! And I'm so pleased you've enjoyed my book, that is fantastic to hear - it took a lot of time and work but it was certainly worth it! Thank you so much for your kind words :)
For 3 years I've done zero exercise since giving up my job to care for mum who has dementia. I've put on weight and feel miserable. Found your channel on YT and starting to do some exercises to improve my mobility. I want to strengthen my core as I have lower back pain. I also have meralgia prothsetica so I hope exercising will help. I've ordered your book and hope it will motivate me to keep going. Motivation is the issue with me personally, possibly a lot of viewers are the same? Thank you for taking care of us over 50's (over 60's!) ❤
Ah, the missing motivation! Keep at it, you can do it! Caretakers deserve so much credit, especially when dementia is involved. I thought I was OK until the elevator in my loft building was broken for a full eight days because they couldn't get the needed part. (It's my late sister's loft in NYC, the sixth floor. I had been living in a rural setting in a ranch house on a flat 1/2 acre. I had cared for both my elderly parents, who died at 98 and 100! I am now 83 years old.) On the second day I went down to get a few groceries and found going back up the stairs difficult, but it was the next several days of severe leg-muscle pain that gave me the motivation to start doing strengthening exercises. It's only been 10 days but I feel better and am proud of myself--it's very hard for someone like me with ADHD to keep at something. So glad I found your excellent videos, Will Harlow!
All the way from Australia, thank you SO much for your outstanding videos. I really appreciate your generosity in sharing your knowledge and expertise. You are very easy to listen to - I enjoy you giving some clear background on the physiology before you demonstrate some exercises.
Hi Will: I came across your UA-cam channel about 2 weeks ago and been doing some of your playlists. I felt better after doing the stretches etc so I bought your book today and I can’t wait for more knowledge from your book on how to still live actively even with my age, thank you. Helen
Hi Helen, I'm so pleased to hear you felt better after doing the stretches I recommended - thank you for purchasing my book, I hope you find it packed full of helpful and interesting information - wishing you all the best :)
Hi, Will, thanks for the experiences. You were talking about breathing through our tummy. I came across another UA-cam doctor stating that the best breathing is not chest breathing or belly breathing but breathing through the back so that we can keep our abdomen wall flat and tight. I also came across someone talking about breathing through the entire thoracic ring (360 front and back)....I find that breathing through the back seems to feel very soothing. The doctor said it would increase longevity
Absolutely effective in working the core without making it too difficult for a beginner as the sequential order further facilitates you progressively. Thank you, Mr Harlow.
I love this work out. I have Nick injuries and have a hard time doing a lot of the core workouts because they always want you to raise your neck. This one has been the most effective that I have ever had. Thank you. Definitely want more of your videos that we can do along with as an exercise routine until, I get them memorized
Love this video. Really improving my core strength. Didn't realise how weak it was. Needed to start at the very begining. Now I am at the second last exercise. Will keep going until I can do them all.
Thank you so much! I’ve got a severely stenotic thecal sac at L4-5 (I’m only 55, but herniated the disc 18 years ago) and I know I need to strengthen my core, but couldn’t seem to find any exercises that didn’t hurt way too much. This is doable and I can feel it actually working!
That was tough! 53 year-old truck driver, been practicing qigong for many years, but like to mix things up a bit. I have been adding a couple of your routines since discovering your channel a few weeks ago. I've been following the seated hips and core routine and have added this 10 minute routine for variation. Question: I plan over the next few months to add your Beginner Full Body Strength Workout, and Best Dumbbell Exercises, and the Best Way To Improve Flexibility (NOT Stretching). Do you recommend practicing the Do These 3 Things BEFORE You Exercise routine beforehand? I don't attend a gym or anything like that. Thanks for the posts. This stuff works for me!
YOUR SECOND BOOK: Just learned of your updated/revised book. I just bought your former book from Amazon which I planned on giving to my husband for his birthday coming up soon. Oh well - hopefully the first book is "enough".
Thank you so much for your extremely valuable exercises you so generously share. I am 66 and had a shoulder injury at work a year ago, I have lost a lot of condition over the last 12 months and just want to be fit and well and pain free as I was before. While doing these core exercises I am trying to keep good form, I know my core is activated but I'm tensing my neck, I am keeping it on the pillow but i can feel it straining. Will, how can I make sure I keep my neck relaxed, I think this is an issue with me with different types of exercises not just these core ones.
I like how I can lie down throughout for this core training 😂 Many abdominal core training resulted in shoulder and back pain and puts me off. I felt good completing this entire routine with you. You are indeed a good teacher bcos of your clear instructions and demo. However, I’m not sure when I should inhale and exhale with each move. Thank you Will. Looking forward to more videos where we can exercise together.
Hello Will. Just want to keep you posted... I have been training my core as per suggested for 4 weeks now (and still ongoing)...and I don't have to go for the extreme regime...so long I linked my mind to core muscles and feel the muscles working... Lastly...keep up the good work Will 😊
@HT-Physio Hi Will..just to add... I'm relating one of your videos "Fix weak knees" (if I'm not mistaken)...you did mention improve the mind muscle (link my mind with the core muscle)...I found it quite interesting and put it on a good use 🙂
I love that it is a video that we can do with you. Follow the video and get the 10min exercise instead of just getting the exercises separately and not knowing how to follow from 1 to another. Now, if you do more of these, I can schedule a 30min exercise by combining different types of 10min exercises...do you catch the hint? Love you❤
I have my 6 month appointment with my GP on Tuesday I'll bring up then. I have experienced hard to breath on a number of occassions expecially I need to lay flat for various physical tests.
❤Thank you so very much Will, I did this routine yesterday along with you! Love Love the video . Helping older brother after his surgery so not staying as active as I used to? And Im feeling so out of shape. And this and a lot of your other videos are a life saver . Anyways my abdominal area is a bit sore but, a good sore. Do you have any videos on stretching abs legs etc. after workout routines?? Much 💕 Love! Thank you for helpful knowledgeable videos.😍
Hi awill I am 84 with several health probs. But I do what I can and love you videos. My granddaughter is getting me your book. Best wishes but we would like some easier exercises please. Anne

Great video, easy to follow! I have Diastasis recti and I'm wondering if I should keep on with the core strengthening or can the exercise be modified to work around and improve the condition?
I regularly watch your vidoes, practice few of them sincerely. Find them pretty helpful. How frequently can one practice this particular routine safely?
78 yr old woman and walking is a challenge. I can walk just like I want. Was a tennis player and everything worked well. I am trying to build my calves back so I am doing your calf lift. What's the best number of those to start with and work up to? Thanks Natalie 💕
Can I use these core exercises with a recovering herniated disk? I really need to rebuild my core and am just wondering. Love your channel, I am subscribed. Thanks for your expertise. 😊
Will. I am a 67 year old male. Apart from generally good strength and health. My problem is when I lift my body like in a situp. My stomach rises and looks pointed?? No pain or anything just need some advice on maybe getting it to look more normal.
9:38. “squidge” almost makes my belly fat sound cute😂. Great exercises, Ive downloaded this one. Thanks, well explained and exercises at a good speed so I can follow along.
I am 72 i gave a trainer at the gym to get me started . He has studied some physio and is a certified strength trainer . He has me doing msny of your exercises . I told him i would rather work on ghe machines, his reply ,thes exercises work more of my joints , that is the reason i find them hard .. the machines do not use as many of my joints . Hey Will New subscriber here... Don't know if you have any advice/exercises for helping to relieve tennis elbow? Would love your thoughts on this. Have had a look back through previous content but couldn't see anything. Many thanks Trev 👍
Very very easy to follow instructions! Thank you for your videos and that you are not using any music with them is so appreciated!
So pleased you found the video easy to follow, that's great! Wishing you all the best :)
How true! Music can be an unnecessary distraction sometimes.
Oh yeah! No noise and irritating beats in our old ears😂

Outstanding core exercises. As a Pilates teacher of many years, these exercises are used in class warmups.
You are an excellent educator.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
I'm swayed backed & my back doesn't ho completely flat. The only time I can get flat is to bring my knees up, feet flat..
Thank you so much Will. You explain and detail very very distinctly and its very clear and easy to understand you.
That's great I'm so pleased my video was easy to follow along with!
Thank you for the follow along beginner core exercise video…Really helpful!

Ailsa, good luck! I also have a hiatal hernia diagnosis from my gastroenterologist, wherein he described a bit of my stomach had squeezed up above my diaphragm. I used to do classical singing and have been meaning to get back to "squawking" where no one else has to hear to see if that will help restore at least some of the integrity of my diaphragm, but oh how life interferes! Simply amazing 👏
Glad you think so!
