She had her share of hardships in life. Actually, my wonderful aunt got hooked on alcohol and pickled her brain. She started talking to people who weren't there and eventually the men in the white coats did have to come and take her away before she reached 50. She died of an alcoholic liver. I really loved her, and thank you for suggesting that we would enjoy each other in heaven. 🥰💒 I hadn't thought of that, but I believe it and it is very comforting. Blessing back at ya!😄

I heard this song on the radio for the very first time 15 minutes after my mother was taken away in a straight jacket by nice young men in white coats. She spent the following 6 months in a mental hospital. That's what they did in those days when someone had a bad reaction to certain kinds of psychedelic drugs that doctors used to prescribe but are now banned.

This song use to scare the crap outta me back in the mid 70s when i was a young kid. When his voice would change, and go up in pitch. And the parts where he would echo as he finished a verse. It just painted a scary picture in my head of this guy who kept saying, "They're going to take me away.." Still remember playing this on some record I had back then. It was unnerving. Even now listening to it, the kid inside still gets chills from it. Brings back sharp, crystal clear memories. But its a very memorable song. It got stuck in my head forever, ha ha ho ho hee hee.

She had her share of hardships in life. Actually, my wonderful aunt got hooked on alcohol and pickled her brain. She started talking to people who weren't there and eventually the men in the white coats did have to come and take her away before she reached 50. She died of an alcoholic liver.
