What a year, my last year of high school. Our 60 year school reunion is later this year. Thanks Sonny for putting these collections together. I know the Brits dominated world music in the sixties but the US stuff was equally good. I suspect the sixties was the greatest decade for pop and dance music, just hundreds of tunes and cover bands playing church halls, synagogues and the like every weekend. What a fabulous time to grow up in. How lucky I have been to live through this. Fortunately missing out on Vietnam unlike so many contemporaries - medically unfit for service.
These old songs are hard to find. We appreciate Sonny, all the effort you put into making these old gems of song available for all of us who lived thru these time periods and those younger generations that have an appreciation for Oldies from the past❤️🙏🏻

Back in ‘63 it was only AM Mono radio and black & white TV. (Only 3 stations. No cable.). These incredible sounds of the 60s filled our hearts minds and soul of Baby Boomers. Despite the weak language and fabulous lyrics somehow we passed those crushing Regents and SAT exams. Now, 60 yrs later, we can reflect with a sigh these tunes of a lifetime.
This is the best oldies video on UA-cam. All these songs are from the orginal artists. Really gets me back to the good old days without frustration of being "hacked". Good work, Sonny.
I went from 8th grade to the 9th grade when these songs played and I liked them all! I was also going from pre teen to teenager! And those hormones were raging!
It's so sad that the young man singing Suki Yaki died in the worst air disaster ever recorded in 1975. He was so young and handsome this song is beautiful A life cut very short.
Deborah you are remembering Kyu Sakamoto who beautifully sang Sukiyaki. He died on flight 123 in Japan in August of 1985. Him and over 500 others. I can’t fathom it to this day. So sad.
One thing I find interesting is long lasting artists , like Steve Lawrence , had much better quality voices than what was captured in the sound studios in the early sixties. With todays fancier sound effects and systems any person with a fairly decent voice can sound great then they sing live and it’s a nightmare. Love the fifties and sixties when you could hear singers use their natural voice and the buying public then decided who they liked or didn’t.
i agree with the exception of Miley, her voice & the way she leans back on the vocals is heaven sent, or in other words a throw back that relied on talent only
