F30s with B48 and B58 engines are pretty reliable. The N20 engines were the ones with problems. And I loved the track day. Weird to me it didn’t do well

As an owner of a 2012 STI hatch I can attest to the fact that people on the road are hardly ever nice, especially people in bro-dozers for whatever reason. Still love the car though despite the maintenance cost.

I kind of disagree with you guys on a Top Gear style thing not working. Car Throttle and and Tavarish have done it with great success I think and a lot can be learned from them imo.
Filippo should get an early clk55 instead of a Corvette. It's a great all around car, maintenance is comparable to an Abarth 500, and it will be in 4th gear at 25mph, and 5th(top gear) by 35mph. It will do all that, perform like a C5, and he will probably never see 2000rpm until it's on the highway. 😀

Kennan spent twice the price of a used 335i on his old M5 in the last 6 months, and still goes like: "Nah, the 335i's aren't reliable, i don't want to deal with that."
It's okay, just admit to your irrational love for your baby, Emily accepted it as well.
A 335 is (was) on every street corner. An E39 M5 is an icon, and worth falling in love with and maintaining. There are levels, as I'm sure you're capable of understanding.

Doug does need to learn better mic technique but the video editor should be able to level the audio so that Doug sounds equally loud to the San Diego studio audio.

They got that, but missed the fact that this indeed follows the naming convention and is a BEV.

With transmission that makes sense....it will not be needed in future EV´s only. But seats? Great seats are even more needed.
@@bavariancarenthusiast2722 the ZF has been and is still in almost every new car today. Jeep Wranglers and Cherokees, BMW sedans and SUVs, Audi’s, etc. The EV argument makes no sense at this point.

Doug, I gotta be honest, I'm disappointed. I'm a big fan so don't get me wrong, but the timing over a video call for a podcast isn't conducive to your sense of humor. It's delayed and awkward and doesn't work. Living your life on the other side of the country during the summer and also trying to podcast makes this unwatchable. I'm sorry.

Currently own a 2015 Ghibli sq4.
My biggest complaints are
1. Crystler infotainment system. It’s absolutely horrible. By the time the Bluetooth connects I’m already at my destination.
2. Horrible Turbo lag. Even when floored it takes 3-5 seconds before you feel any boost even at high RPM.
3. The ride is horrible.
4. The all wheel drive system in it is terrible. The rear diff locks up when turning at slow speed.
5. I’m 6,3 and the seats provide zero back support.
6. Even for the time in 2015 the car was already slow.
Positives
1. The best sounding turbocharged V6. It really is that good.
2. It Does handle very well at the cost of comfortable ride.
3. It is aesthetically appealing
All in all I would say the positives do not outweigh the negatives
Y'all need to work on the audio. Visuals are on point but might need to get someone experienced in audio and mixing involved. But honestly if it ever gets addressed or not, seeing an episode drop is a highlight in my day and a die hard fan.
4:29 Damn, didn’t think Doug would hate the new A6 that much. I really like it (and was looking forward to it), especially as it’s an EV that looks cool (is it just me or is Doug becoming a lot more anti-EV - is he being sponsored by big oil?). Also, it’s interesting he says the A6 is irrelevant, I see quite a few of them in Toronto, Canada. I guess Canada is different.
Funny he reminisces over the C5 A6 4.2. We owned one when I was a kid that my dad made look like an RS6 (same bodykit), and man was that a TRASH car. Super unreliable, handled like a boat, and had the most awful auto transmission!
Flilppo: My 2015 abarth came with Pirelli's P Zero Nero with 17 inch rim and I only replaced the tires once during my 10 year ownership of the car. I was daily driving it from 2014 - 2018 ish and they worked pretty well. I also drove it in the winter (I live in Toronto, Canada) with these tires and they are not bad. ;)

It's EASY to split the BMW key and put a new battery in it. Get an iSesame 'spudger' (real thing, no joke), to pop it apart along the seam (yes, there IS a seam). You might need some silicone to reassemble it (I didn't, but could see one might).
Is Doug going to keep calling in for the podcast? I thought the split screen was temporary. I don't like his format as well as the more in person setting.

There is a UA-cam channel where they took the Ford v10 and built special 4v dual cam heads along with a bunch of other one off parts to make it work. They are eventually installing it in a Lincoln Mark 8 I believe.

Doug, the reason the rb17 and the valkyrie look similar is because they are both Adrian Newey designs.
If the V8 LC 500 Convertible had a manual transmission option, it would be the perfect car for Kennan! A Lexus, after the maintenance nightmare with the BMW.
With Ferrari's money, you should get both anyway. The LC 500 Convertible as a daily driver and the 718 Spyder Manual as the fun car. Keep both for 5 years. The money and stress saved on maintenance and fun would be worth it.

Porsche 911 market still not experiencing any meaningful price reductions. Most 2020 992s still listed at or above MSRP. Used Sport Classics and Dakars still have 6 figure markups. 991.1 GT3s are about to end their 10 year engine warranty period and they are still selling for more than they sold for in 2019, when they had 5 years of engine warranty left!
You have more subscribers than Thomas and James, and they have made excellent TG-style road trip videos. You guys could do it too, personality wise. But you’d need to step it up a level or two in the production department to compete with TH.

There's a video of him from two months ago, on Lamborghini's yt channel, unveiling the new engine and some of the stats, so no, it's not "allegedly", it's actually confirmed. What remains to be confirmed at the unveil on 16th august is how the car will look and the power figures

This Maserati Ghibli is an insult to the original Maserati Ghibli made between 1967-73. The original Ghibli was one of the most gorgeous cars ever, in either coupe or convertible. It was also very well made (as long as you kept rust away) and was much easier to maintain than this modern monstrosity. The originals now sell for serious money, as where the newer Ghibli’s depreciate at an alarming rate and will never be coveted in the future. Doug did drive an original Ghibli a few years ago (the video is still on youtube) and he was blown away by it.
