I don’t think anyone should be shunned for not siding with something they do not believe in if they don’t believe in same-sex marriage then so be it I don’t think you should be forced to be a supporter of anything or anyone But this is the state of humanity today

No one's business. Why do they have to answer every question. No one needs to share what they wish to remain quiet!?!? What's wrong with all these nosy people not understanding that not everything has to be shared. Everyone has their own private feelings and thoughts. No one has the right to demand anyone's thoughts about every issue! We all need to have tolerance, don't we? Chip and Joanna are wonderful, energetic, hard working, family loving people. They do not have any other agenda, except to raise their bright children, share with us their God given talents, and they are successful at all of it. We ALL are entitled to opinions, aren't we?

Freedom of religion is a right. This harassment is ridiculous. Does anyone who’s successful have to worship at the altar of SJ to the tune set by (whom?!?). They’ve been great people. Participants are selected by the merit of how it fits their business, location, timing and needs. Picking someone based on race or sexuality IS discrimination. It’s EQUAL rights, not SPECIAL rights!

I love Joanna & Chip both. They have given us so much and with all of my heart it has been a wonderful & inspirational experience. Personally, I am extremely liberal, in my politics and life, however, I have never felt put off/offended by their actions or comments. If they live a good life (obviously they do) but beliefs are different than mine, that does not give me, nor anyone the right to slam/flame throw/berate them for not thinking likewise. This is becoming crazy shit and it needs to stop.... ON BOTH SIDES! I personally wouldn't want fame at any level. Everyone wants to line you up for target practice, no thank you very much. My goodness why must people look for problems always....Chip and Joanna are a loving, generous, kind and multi-talented power couple who clearly love family and community! What they have done for Waco, Tx and America with their show and amazing style and designs ... They have made people from all over the country want to live in Waco, Tx, want to have that country/farm kind of slower, laid back lifestyle...they turn houses into homes bonding couples, families and community...people need to stop looking for issues and problems-stop being envious, jealous and hateful and start being loving, kind and supportive!

Mrs. Gaines, I had been meaning to write you to say thank you for one of your products (toilet paper holder) that I purchased at Target. I am a black female and I currently live full time in my RV.
I needed to find a small, stand alone toilet paper holder and there yours was! It fits perfectly in my RV bathroom and I love that I can now store my additional rolls of toilet paper on it as well. I love your toilet paper holder design and encourage you to sell your holder in camping World stores. I also love watching your tv show. Keep up the great work 👍🏾

Chip and Joanna Gains seem like very nice people. Last time I checked this is still a free country and they can do and believe what works for their family.
Getting canceled like everyone else who doesn’t pander to the masses. People can have certain beliefs and not believe in everything because someone tells you.
I, love their natural banter between them! They are very loving with each other and their children. I, really loved their program too. They deserve all the credit for changing the way these shows are excepted with the information they willingly share with their audiences! Love watching & learning new idea's!

Bigotry is still bigotry regardless what church, religion, or God claims it necessary. Labeling an act as sin does not change the fact that treating a person differently or judging them based on their choice of religion, their race, or their sexuality is bigotry, period. Basically u r free to b a proud bigot or to join a church who promotes bigotry. U have that option, but claiming religion does not cleanse u of the grime.
Fixer Upper is my all time favorite show on HGTV. We love Chip and Joanna! There is an old saying that people don't care if you get ahead...just not ahead of them. There will always be someone who.wants to criticize someone else's success. Chip and Joanna have brought so much joy to so many people. God hears and knows and sees. He is the ONLY ONE they need to please!

I am SO grateful that they have never had a gay or lesbian couple on their show!
So the interracial couple (Joanna is 1/2 Korean, 1/4 White, 1 /4 Lebanese) who have had black, non-white Latinos on the show as well as their main worker "Shorty" (non-white Latino) are racist? They've also never had an Asian couple on the show, I guess its true. _(sarcastically written)_ So ridiculous.
As for not featuring a gay or lesbian couple...maybe that's something people should be asking the casting person or network. Or how about this, perhaps none wanted to be on a show that was filmed in Waco, TX. I've watched several HGTV and DIY/Magnolia Network shows and I've never seen one on any of them.
As for the church thing. A persons priest/pastor/reverend/rabbi/whatever's opinions doesn't mean they are theirs as well. There tons of priests who have been busted for molesting kids, does that mean that anyone who chooses to remain Catholic is a pedophile or believes in it? NO. Their pastor might be anti-gay, but that doesn't mean they are.
People always thinking that their opinions are meant to be heard by everyone. Well, they're not. Mike Tyson was right social media has made everyone too comfortable speaking their mind without the fear of getting punch in the mouth.
