Way too high of a seating position
Seating position can be easily adjusted in graphic settings

@@david328ci I know, for me someone who plays iRacing, this just was a bad representation of the game, its much more realistic for seating position, mirror visibility etc by default
100%. You should also be able to see your steering wheel. Ever seen an onboard of a formula car? The racing looks fun though
@@david328ci you can map the VR view center reset and just move your head around while you click it to get whatever seating position you want in VR
They should have plenty of racing games in VR on PS5 by now.
Its a Shame they still don't at VR to F1 24 for PS5. Super Formula on GT7 in VR is awesome

@@gamingdaddy1983 Never going to happen from EA, they cant even get it right on PC. Also they won't put the money in to development when there ate only 1 million headsets sold
You should have a button bound on your wheel to reset the vr position so you can fix the seating position and make use of your mirrors. You will need to hit it at least once every time you start up iracing. There have been times Ive needed to reset it mid race so keep it handy.
2:07 wait what? Most people I know run g29s on iracing or other entry level equipment. You do not need to spend so much money to be fast
You certainly can use a g29, but it's a lot harder (in my experience) to be competitive without at least a direct drive and a load cell brake.

@@JayS1622 Totally agree, I went from G27 to T300 With T-LCM load cell. I has improved my driving. Not so much the wheel, but consistent breaking.
you can bind a control to recenter hmd. In the black box for mirror adjustment you can also adjust the seating position. You'll get a much better experience.

Not really. VR crowd is very small. All the hardcore simmers prefer triple screens… i as beginner prefer vr.

You need to disable your mouse cursor. It’s visible on the top left of your screen all race. 😂
Why is your seating position so high? Is that so you can see over the front end of the car?

I don't have VR...I race on a 65"...but wouldn't it be too distracting to have to look down every 5-10 seconds to know your gaps? Also is there a way to adjust the seating position so you don't have to look side to side so often, and rely on the mirrors?

Great overview of iracing and exciting VR. Yes Iracing is a monthly or annual subscription but if your are new you can get 40% off. The tracks are updated and the online racing is the best there is.
Set your mirrors next time so you can actually use them. I have been racing in VR for 2 years and going to triples, VR is insane and amazing but I get dry eyes and can only racing for a max of 30 mins. Quest 3 is by far the best bang for buck.
Looking to get this headset in the near future. Probably the super later this year. Those mirrors were completely useless though. Is it that some adjustments needed to be made?

You’re right. Once people get a taste of the racing and immersion you get from iracing, it makes the f1 games seem like an infants toy. I come from f1 games to iracing a short 3 months ago and I gotta say it’s day and night comparison . Kind of wish I never bought the ps5 and threw the money into my pc.

I love it, have a hard time going back to monitor way more immersive and Its helped me alot when breaking because the sense of speed

iRacing has the best VR support in a sim period. OpenXR runs butter smooth.

Yeah he is sitting too high in cockpit. Mirrors are useless when he is sitting too far up. Dont know if the game can adjust it or he has to calibrate the seating position

$156 subscription vs 70 quid , i think the person is going to play the f1 game , you also have to gain driver rating , its misleading title
The thing is you get rating when you deserve it and prove yourself on slower cars and when you get to the f2 and f1, the opponents are knowlegable enough to do parallel racing and not to divebomb you, where in f1 24, a lot of wrecks from controller players, children and unskilled players who bought only for hype, not to really try hard and do your best. bcz of that I would rather pay 500$ for iRacing and monthly subs, but with 10 times more content and more realism (better graphics might also come later, but this one is also enough to enjoy the game)
The biggest factor for this video is that VR performance in Iracing is incredibly smooth vs F1 games have been plagued by VR performance problems since they implemented the feature. If you are wanting a Formula VR experience then Iracing is a better bet at the moment. Personally I hope that changes because I want the F1 campaign experience in VR
