You could drop step into the paint and fake it and go up with it but you can also fade because 1 your going to have to shoot fades and might as well shoot it over smaller defenders and 2 you need more moves to your craft and if the paint isn’t open then the fading to the baseline to avoid to draw a double team would be good and it just makes you more unpredictable
yeh i think #2 is better against taller defenders. I use it all the time. One more tip: Get the ball slightly more top of the key and use backboard for bank shot. It's easier to make the bucket. Learned from watching Yao Ming
