Hi I am a Pre-existing customer and I've pre-purchased Lumimar 4, I received a email that said I would get my Lumimar 4 on the 11/11/2019 I have not received any think yet, I have tried contacting Skylum which was like the Spanish Inquisition when I finally found a space to type a message I never received a reply.
What has been your experienced with them, I live in the uk.
We do enjoy your videos and this is of topic but Thought you might be able to help
Paul
@@gadgetphotos2567 I think you will find it is next Monday 18th
Hi Anthony, you can use Luminar's skies, as they're normal jpg files. You'll find them at C:\Program Files\Skylum\Luminar 4\profiles\SkyTextures (Windows 10)
@@liverpoolpictorial Thanks Dave! I'll do a video on this soon.
Very good Anthony! So clear and concise-many thanks
Hi Anthony, Excellent tutorial, as I am new to Luminar 4 I found it most useful. Many thanks, regards Phil
All the sky replacement videos are so great. Your explanations are so detailed and clear, Thank you so much
Nice job explaining that. I am updating lots of photos (20 years worth) and planning to replace lots of skies....thanks for explaining how to do sky reflections in water. I am planning to take a lot of my own sky photos...this tutorial will be be a big help.
Exactly what I was looking for....especially since I am buying a set of sky overlays... Liked and subscribed!
Excellent demo/info ... good tips. Thanks 👍🏼
Cheers Anthony. Easy to follow and perfectly paced.
thanks your , I checked all video about water reflection, your is best one, you speak slowly , exactly, , thank again
Great video! Thanks for putting it together! ☺️
Great demo of how to use the new Sky replacement feature. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot for the clear explanation. Very well explained, not soo slow and not too fast. Much appreciated...
Thank you - it was quick but very helpful and I'll reference this a couple times till I have this workflow down.
Excellent. Certainly not to fast and resolved some of the issues I am having. Thank you.
You mentioned that you thought you went too fast. I thought it was perfect. One of the rare vids I didn’t have to watch at double speed. Straight to the point and not a lot of extra chatter!
Thank you for this easy to follow video.
I really enjoyed this video and your method of teaching. Where can I find more of your excellent videos on using Luminar 4 as I'm new to it.
Excellente démonstration ! Merci Beaucoup Anthony. Thank you very much.
Great, Mark! You didn't go to fast, IMHO. It's easy enough to walk through your video and stop and start it to go step-by-step. I love what you demonstrated, and I'll look for opportunities to use it. Thanks again.
Absolutely brilliant tuition, Anthony.
Will be doing this. Thanks!
Great instructional video. So well explained. Always learning something new. Thanks for posting.
Many thanks. Hope your Sabres have a great season.
Dude , you rock man thanks a million
Hi Anthony just stumbled across your channel. And now a new subscriber I’m new to Luminar 4 so this video was really good to understand the amazing techniques is there any chance you can share the photo so i can practice what you just demonstrated
Hi Anthony, thanks for your video. Quick question - instead of brushing your mask, could you have used Luminosity / Color to just select the water in this case?
Thanks Anthony!
Excellent again Anthony, can't wait for my copy to arrive.
Great tutorial, Anthony. One thing, though. You can use the built in skies. They're in the profiles/SkyTextures folder under the Luminar4 program folder.
I was also going to say this. Yes you can indeed.
That looks really nice. In PS they talk about blending. Is there a need in Neo? I have also seen someone selling hi res 50 MP sky images. I think the ones recommended here are 8K. Are those images really good enough to blend into a picture? Thank you
... Anthony, I am in about a year into learning a Lightroom classic. I’ve not yet figured out how to correct skies when they get bleached out, is there a way in Lightroom to do the effects that you’re getting here or should I use both programs to get the best effects with my skies that’s bleached out? Thanks for your time here... Chris
Thanks Anthony, this is the one I was waiting for 😍
Thanks! I was bummed when I downloaded Luminar AI yesterday and the reflection tool wasn't there yet...I will be patient. But this is perfect for now! THANKS
OH NO...no layers. Dang it, this won't work anymore. My Luminar 4 now crashes upon opening. Is that because I have Luminar AI on my computer as well?
Great, this is definately one for me. fab tutorial, Anthony
Great as usual. You are the best
Thanks this is one for me to bookmark. And I too would be interested in a "Getting Started with Luminar 4" type video. I also need to go and find some good skies to photograph
Great tutorial, but one subject not addressed: your shot is with medium lens, and so is replaced sky (it looks like). But how does sky replacement look when a wide shot has a medium-lens sky used? Does it look "normal," or a little off? Curious.
Very nice tutorial Anthony. Thank you!
Omg, your video is amazing!
I have used Luminar 4 for only two days yet, so I am still figuring out what it can do (apart from the very simple things), I totally have to try my own sky next time (and reflection/ layers stuff!!!). Thanks for your well explained video!
Excellent video, keep on doing these very helpful videos
Amazing video!
Awesome video, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the video! I'd like to see portrait editing with Luminar 4, with backround replacement included.
great video. Thank you!
Thank you sir. So good.
Hey Anthony - thanks for sharing this excellent technique. I tried it with an image with water foreground (and I shoot a lot of landscapes or cityscapes with water foregrounds), and it worked as well as you demonstrated. Until I saw this, I assumed I would need to limit Luminar sky replacements to scenes without water, so this is fantastic.
Well Done Anthony, Just upgraded to L4 for the Sky Replacements - & thanks for making it look easy. Cheers fum AU on Fire!!
As always a stunning demo. Thank You. I have just pre-ordered via your link below so look forward to learning more from you in coming months, thanks Anthony much appreciated.
great tip anthony, more realistic like that, maybe sky replacement will get a future update that does this automatically
Is this a good lightroom replacement?
Wonderful! Many thanks, Anthony, see you soon.....
Thank you, well presented, very well explained, nicely paced, clear and to the point.
Subscribed.
Dear Anthony, it is a great video. Is it possible to get a link to all your teaching videos on LUMINAR 3 and 4 ? Thanks
Can not wait till next Monday when it comes out, I change skies in PS and it takes a lot more time then you have just demonstrated. Thanks Anthony.
I change a lot of skies in real estate photography using ps. It literally takes about 2 min using color range
Just wow! Thanks so much for this video!!
Waiting on the software to come out. Would be interested in basic editing from scratch as a new user when it comes out.
AWESOME TUTORIAL!!! thank you for sharing! I have some basic skills with image editing. Want to learn more about image editing. I just purchased my Luminar 4 recently and a bit disappointed because it does not have the "Tilt Shift" function or effect like most of the expensive photo editing software. Is there a way to do that with Luminar 4 with out plug-ins or the tilt shift effect built in? If so, can you please please do a video on it? That would be AWESOME! Maybe i'm not the only one requesting lol. Thank you.
Great tutorial. How about a tutorial on BATCH PROCESSING and LOOKS?
Great video.
I don't guess you can select the layer that you want to work on? Like if you wanted to just adjust the background layer or am I thinking too much like Photoshop?
[BRA] thank you. I really learned from the video. and opened up a production horizon for me
Thanks for explaning
Anthony, I have bought your Luminar presets. Will your presets need to be upgraded for Luminar 4?
I already have Luminar 4, and I also have Perfectly Clear Complete 3. PC Complete has a new upgrade for something like $49.00. Is it really worth the price? Does is do much more than Luminar 4 for portraits. I have got to stop buying every post processing program out there. Thanks so much for your help. Greg
Hi Anthony
I like your video very much
A good and clear explantion ...........super
I know how to chance the sky but I wonder how to find a (for example) sky with birds or hot air balloons
Is that something you have to download somewhere or can I buy also skys from Luminar ?
Your video's has helped me a lot to do things I did not know
Please go on and keep it safe
Greetings
Hoogstoel Emile
Hey Anthony, been subscribed to you FOREVER. Skylum is having a huge 4th of July sale and I can get all their stuff or like $100. Overall do you think This is useful software compared to Lightroom/Photoshop?
owsome knowledgeable video
Thx Anthony good tutorial - If my primary image doesn't match the color of the sky is there a way to adjust the color without affecting the sky, for example if you wanted to make your rocks a little bit warmer to now match your sunset that u dropped in?
Anthony, do you have a work flow for real estate interior? Would be great to see a video on that
Is there a way to move the supplied sky sideways instead of just up or down? If not, how can you do it? Thanks
Thank you for this. 😍. So you can upload your own sky correct 😁?
yes
at the bottom of sky selection "load custom sky image"
Good video Anthony. I would love to have you do a video on using the Luminosity mask in Luminar 4. I just got my copy and find that when you click on the masking options and click Luminosity you have no means to invert it or to adjust it. The apparent workaround is to then click the Brush and you have a menu of options to include Desnity and Feather. If you could demonstrate how to use them as well that would be awesome. Thanks again for the great work you do.
Hi Anthony. I am using Luminar as a plug-in for Lightroom, basically just to change skies, which I think Luminar is brilliant at. However, every time I use it as a plug-in, after the edit, and exporting it back to Lightroom, it automatically shuts down. Then I have to re-open it again for each subsequent edit. It is really slow to open. I wonder if there is some setting which would prevent it from automatic shut down??
Very, very helpful!!
That was a superb tutorial, thank you so much :)
Great video as always Anthony. Just wondering how you would handle a sky replacement that has power lines running through the image. Short of removing them, I get artifacts showing up around them in areas. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing this Anthony, although I would have liked Luminar 4 to take care of this. Now it still takes up some extra time to edit it all in. But you did a great job! Thanks :)
Great Tutorial thanks!
Thank you!!! Very helpful.
I just purchased Luminar 4...is the Sky Replacement an additional cost?
no
Hi Anthony. Great video, thanks. I have been experimenting with Luminar 4 sky replacement and am finding that any clouds that are on the original photo remain and show through. Do I have to remove them manually before importing my new sky or is there a way of avoiding this. I have tried looking for answers on the Luminar site but with no luck. Thanks.
Where did u find that sky i been looking for skies like that one ? Where can i download buy that type of skies
I noticed when adding my own skys they were very distorted, would this be something to do with the size? is there any particular size Luminar 4 likes to work with?
Thanks!! Great vids
one other question. Now that we are all looking at the sky and taking pics of interesting skies in raw, what is the best JPG size to save these files to work with luminar.
Well that may be dependent on the size of the original photograph area of sky you are replacing,
@@grahambarnett6107 How big are Luminar-4 sky presets?
Hi Anthony, do you have a tutorial on luminosity masks in Luminar 4? That would be useful to know how to do it in Luminar. Thanks
Great videos for a new to Luminar4 user ---- many thanks .... i would like to start printing as have an A3 epson 7750 so-need to know size of crops dpi and how to remove white borders that regularly show on print preview please
Hi Anthony, will you have a set of replacement skies for purchase for Luminar 4?
it would be great if he shared them
Its just as easy to take your own and build a library.
@@photog1529 that's what I'm trying to do waiting for luminar 4
The build in skies are just jpeg files in a folder you identified in another video. If you copy them to another location then you can use them to do reflections. Also, I prefer to use them from the load custom sky dialog, because I can change the view mode in the windows explorer dialog to large icon. This lets me see the skies for selection instead of just seeing names.
Did you begin with raw or jpg?
Does Luminar 4 only for Ram images? Or can it be used with jpg images?
Is it possible to stitch multiple shots together to a panoramic photo?
If yes, could you show that also in a video how to do it?
Thanks a lot =)
Great! Could you demonstrate how to do edit portraits? Especially the difficulty ones, I mean, the ones with a bad skin texture, full of wrinkles, expression marks, pimples, both from young people and seniors? I am not looking for a overdone face lifting, just a realistic , believable and professional editing.
I purchased this product pre-release - and have to say, did so after your and other reviews seemingly gave it a thumbs up.
What a mistake. . Sadly - very poor performance, buggy, crashes regularly, unable to step backwards with a heal, memory and many other issues. Luminar forum beset with complaints. Maybe they will sort it, but clearly this product not ready for release. Did they con you too?
No complaint intended or directed to you - have been following you for many years and have utmost respect, but it seems you had a rather different prog to what was released. Should add, I purchased Win version - which, from some forum comments suggests is not on par with the Mac version.
Appreciate you thoughts and how you go about trying to delivery a 'clean' review. Thx
Thank you
Thank You!
I need your help, I have been using Lightroom (LR ) for a very long time mainly to manage my images and raw file development. I just recently purchased Luminar 4 and started using it for detail editing and like it a lot. I generally start Luminar from LR but have noticed that when I do, no matter which mode used I lose the metadata for that image when I save and return to LR. Have you had that problem? What the heck am I doing wrong?
Dave: Did you get an answer on this? I have had the same problem..
I have an alternative method. 1. Replace the sky and do all the other edits you need. 2. Rotate the photo 180 and export it under another name. 3. Bring up the new file and do a sky replacement using the same sky (for some reason AI Sky thinks the sky is at the top of the photo). 4. Flip the new sky and rotate the photo back 180. 5. Make any adjustments to the new sky as you need.
You can use the installed Luminar skies for for water reflection. The default .JPG skies in Luminar 4 can be found here on a PC using Windows 10, 64 bit:
C:\Program Files\Skylum\Luminar 4\profiles\SkyTextures.
You can put your own skies in this folder and then Luminar will show them ALL when you use the sky replacement option. Caution: when Luminar 4 updates ALL custom skies in this folder maybe erased leaving ONLY the default ones. Best to keep a backup copy of your skies somewhere else and then put them back in the offical Luminar folder.
Adorei a explicação, muito obrigado.
Thank you for watching!
