Great battle! Non stop attacking. Amazing to see two giants pushing the pace like that. I definitely think the rules used today are a lot more fan friendly
You from the Island, too? I wrestled during the same time period, just a couple schools over. Longwood had an _awesome_ 138 named Duane Thompson then, too. Not ashamed to say the guy put on a complete takedown clinic, when I wrestled him. He later went on to win the States, along with Kerry that year. Longwood had _a third_ guy win the States that year, too. I think it was Lange at 155? Their wrestling program was _incredible,_ back then!
@@DS-hy6ld yes im from long island.Yeah my uncle was the HYW on that team he wrestled kerrie every day at pratice. The whole team was beast. Watch a lot of tapes on them hell even their intro song was intimidating..If you dont mind me asking what school did you wrestle for.
Graduated from Longwood in 95, knew Kerry very well, also John Lange, Nick Hall, Rashan Phiffer. We had such an amazing group of wrestler for that entire run in the 90s, Kerry is such an amazing athlete & a great man. Heard he was just named Head Coach & Executive Director at Lehigh Valley.
@@robertguida8997 yup you just mentioned a lot of names that I've heard my uncle talked about. And yes kerry is incredible..you remember Brian Barnes the hyw?? He is my uncle. Are you from shirley??
@@DS-hy6ld yeah. That idiot was hating. They don’t even look like they’re on juice at all. Those bodies are easily achievable with the disciplined diet and Olympic level workout regimen they were on
@@DS-hy6ld I'm skeptical of the 90s bro. You look at Kurt's training program for the Olympics, it's just volume and intensity on volume and intensity. Pretty much a modern elite crossfitter's style of program, and we know how saucy that sport is by looking at the women. You could say Kurt is smaller here than his pro wrestling days, but not by much, and most of it could be explained by a reduction in cardio after he went pro. Kurt was doing a LOT of high intensity cardio in his amateur days.
Kerry used to come help coach, when I was a kid at Longwood middle, and junior high. Dude was a beast!!
I remember 1999 or 2000 when I was in Longwood middle he came and talked to the entire class. Very motivational

My uncle wrestled and went to school with Kerry in highschool and told me stories. I've been looking for this for a while now

"YOU SUCK!" Sorry, couldn't resist. ;-)
These guys are beautiful on defense. Not one inch given away💪
I am not familiar with the rules of mat wrestling. Please explain how Kurt Angle won?
why was kerry put on the bottom while being the aggressor during the last 30 seconds?
dave jones wondered the same thing
you can see angle rubbing his neck at the end. I am assuming he had already sustained a fractured vertebrae this early in the season
He broke his neck the match before in the first three seconds of the match.
@@jrlonergan6773 theres any video of that?

I am not too familiar with the rules. Why did Kurt Angle win this bout?
Mccoy was wearing angle out angles just too powerful
Please explain to me how Kurt Angle won?
JUICE
Steroids, you mean?? Nahh -- pretty sure everything's all natural, here.
Now, Angle a few years later in WWF? Now _that's_ a different story!

I know for a fact there's no roids in MCcoy. He's a natural freak
They're just two big athletic guys. I'm sure even you know some and they don't juice.
