These 2811 routers are great for home labs, they do LDP, MPLS and can pass jumbo frames etc. The little fans are a bit loud but the 1U chassis is what I want in my home lab. Terrific, stable routers...

Great video. Thanks. Sir, I have an issue on how to configure my home cisco 2821 so that I can be able to call outside from my lan. The Router Go/1 is connected to the lan fa0/1. The G0/0 is connected to DSL service provider interface. How to connect the voice port to the DSL and configure it so that I could call out and receive calls from outside is the issue. Please help.

My network was pinging normally but suddenly I lost my ping. When tracking my connection discovered one interface was causing this disruption but didn't know how you solve this problem. Help me

I actually purchased a used 2811 a few years ago to toy with. It really is a nice hard working router.

Can one make their own console cable? Is it just an Ethernet cable?
You can make a console cable yes. It's a rollover pinout, so pin 1 goes to pin 8, pin 2 goes to pin 7, and so on.
