Muse playing Fury(live!) in LA... I figured I hadn't posted much recently, so I decided to post something a tad, rare... And, uh... Bellamy's crazy. THERE! I said it...
I've come to the conclusion that Absolution is my favorite album. It's a beautiful album that flows so nicely, and plus it has Fury as b-side, which is a the most badass song ever. Origin of Symmetry is pretty much tied with Absolution I suppose but man... Fury is so so good, especially live.
This song is so emotional, it sort of makes me happy yet incredibly hurt to listen to it. A life without God is a kind of darkness that Matt has obviously experienced and illustrates with this song. I wish I knew what the story was behind the kind of music he writes. It's amazing how from so much despair, a true masterpiece and priceless art has emerged. This song is amazing.

I met Muse last month, all three, in DC. Got to spend some one on one time with each of them and they were all GREAT guys all around, very laid back. They said they plan on starting a US only tour in the March time frame!

Muse deserve so much more recognition, but at the same time it is also good for them as well, because they know they have done a hell of a lot of hard work and they still need to do a hell of a lot more to surpass the standards they have set for themselves and for other rock bands and Muse are certainly going about it the right way.
I really felt as though rock reached its peak with Siamese Dream (thinking Quiet here). Since 92 the wave was rolling back, further away from the furious brilliance Corgan unleashed on the world Am very glad to see that I was wrong. Song is freaking unbelievable.
This is truly an amazingg band...i used to luv mcr until their style changed in black parade...thot that was it for me and bands...untill i discovered muse....i was a die hard mcr fan...never thot id say theres a band bettr....but there u have it...MUSE...BEST BAND EVER

Matt said in an interview, when asked about the writing process for the album, that usually when they make an album they write more songs than they need and they place the best on the album and where they like, but for The Resistance they wrote exactly the number of songs they wanted with no extras and in order from first to last. Thats why theres no b-sides. I cant remember where I saw/read that, but Im sure if you google you"ll find it.
@Bazzoro I agree. IMO, it sounds more like Muse when Matt goes all over the place with the falsetto at the end of the chorus. Not to mention, the way the guitar sounds is nothing short of SICK.
I love this song more than it's legal to love anything ;). Muse have a load of great songs but this is by FAR the best. The bassline alone is enough to make even the most closed minded person ( musicly ) love Muse...i think... Matt Bellamy is a genius!

MUSE is a great band, Matt Bellamy is an amazing performer, super range of vocals, he really gets into his music, just awesome!
