Great reaction. This was filmed at the concerts in Yokohama on 1st and 2nd April - where Momoko was revealed as the new third member - welcome Momometal🦊now fully equipped with her own mic to complement Su and Moa with vocals.
It is the official video, so the audio is from the studio.
They are in Europe now, touring with Sabaton - they were great at Wembley last week and everything suggests they are continuing to be great wherever they are playing ... so enjoy seeing them (properly) for the first time in September ... they will amaze you even more than in the live performance videos you have watched.
I completely agree about how they are managed and how their private lives remain completely private and hidden away from everybody, that can only be a good thing with the way things and people are now they have full access and feel entitled to know everything about anybody.

Nice Reaction, thanks! Reminds me a bit to Shanti Shanti...
Saw them live last Saturday, it was AWESOME!! And they played my favourite song from the new album "MAYA" 🤩

They have performed 4 major shows in Japan since their comeback and are 10 or so gigs into their European tour with Sabaton. Lots of fancams from the performances and video of the January shows is out. Better get your tickets quick. The US tour seems to be attracting a lot of attention. It is a co-headline tour with Dethklok.
The live footage in this video is from the Yokohama shows on April 1st and 2nd.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This song was played in the two-day shows on April 1/2 and I witnessed it at the venue two times 😍. Western (American) Kami Band did a great job in those shows.
    *****************
In an interview [magazine PMC vol.27 page 42]:
◆ Su "This is one of my favorite song (in TOO album)"
◆ Moa "For me also. Metalizm !!"
◆ Su "This is the most chaotic song and classified as 'WTF" category in this album. I can't explain it properly, but I would like you to listen to it as soon as possible. And I believe this song will turn into something amazing in live performance"
◆ Moa "Song itself is, of course, good, but I assume it will give you different image when you see the choreo with live sound. So I look forward to seeing how it turn out at the venue. I wonder how the audience will react to and get excited with this song? You think so, Su?"
◆ Su "Yeah! There have never been a song of this type."
= Interviewer "Flavor of Middle East, isn't it?"
◆ Su "That's right. This will be a new drawer of BABYMETAL"
    *****************
Moa is correct. Choreo on stage by Su, Moa and Momometal was mixture of seriousness, playfulness, comicalness, therefore amazingness on top of Su's fantastic vocals ヽ(^o^)丿. The new drawer is a tribute to New BABYMETAL.

Hey Anastasia! Yeah, when they put out that heartfelt version of "The One", which ended with three orbs flying off into the Metal Galaxy, it really put the fear into the fans that it was the end. But NO! I'm also seeing them in Sept, and I'm SO EXCITED! Rock on! 🤘🦊🤘

I love that they are still experimenting and changing styles without focussing too much on one single genre!
This is my favourite song of the album!!
About their social media presence, they even go to the extent to put stickers on top of their faces when they appear on their friend's instagram! We saw it happen multiple time with Moa :D

    Arabian psytrance metal! 🕺💃🤘
You hear "metarizumuzumuzumu" repeated a lot in two sections of the song where in the official lyrics the lines are represented each time by a single "METALIZM."
The katakana pronunciation of METALIZM is メタリズム/Metarizumu.
    Metarizumuzumuzumu = メタリズム/Metarizumu (metal rhythm) + ズムズム/zumuzumu (thrumming (e.g., with excitement)).

Yup, official music video, visuals from their live shows at PIA Arena, few weeks ago, blended with the reel they play as a background, audio from the studio recording.
METALIZM is exactly what I always search in BABYMETAL, something fresh and unexpected, they always deliver.
And you heard that right, yes indeed, many Idol groups, even other music projects, usually last a maximum of ten years, indeed Sakura Gakuin, the Idol group were BABYMETAL moved their first steps, well they disbanded in 2021, after eleven years. There were hints pointing towards such an abrupt ending, mainly SU almost crying during IDZ at Budokan (this can be seen on their official live video on their channel), on their last show of the ten they performed in 2021, and most important, SU on the same night, giving what looks like a farewell speech, followed months later by their video The ONE - Stairway to a Living Legend, shoot in that same arena, probably between those 10 shows. Of course Koba has different plans, so do both SU and MOA. And here we are, back in three, now that Momoko is MOMOMETAL, ready to conquer the whole world, once again. 🤘🦊⚡

The whole 10 year thing was real. BabyMetal (Su & Moa) did an interview with Billboard. Su had stated that 10 years as BabyMetal was the original plan. Members took a break and Su didn’t know if she’d return. Eventually, her passion for music and performing brought her back. Also, felt BabyMetal had more to offer to their fans who have stayed with them throughout the last 10 years. Moa, always there to support Su as Moa promised Su a decade ago, also returned. But Su, also, stated that moving forward she wanted to venture into different paths for BabyMetal. The song Believing epitomizes what Su wants BabyMetal fans to understand.
With Momoko officially a full member of BabyMetal. I think her presence, now, has brought that extra energy for all 3 members. BabyMetal was formed as a trio. Now, they are back as a trio.

    Metalizm zumu🤷 zumu🤷
Outside of Japan, the main part sung by SU-METAL would be sung, but in Japan it is common to sing the MOAMETAL part. This is known in Japanese as 合いの手(A i no te). This refers to hand clapping and shouting between songs and sound tunes. This is also an ancient Japanese method. Even if you don't understand Japanese, the words are short and easy to remember, so you can have fun together!
However, this is not compulsory. Everyone has their own way of enjoying it!😄

I hope they perform at least 70% of their latest album at the BabyMetal concert. Of course, if they can perform the entire latest album plus the opening song BabyMetal Death and the closing song Road Of Resistance. That would be perfect! Thanks for your great reaction.

according to Su in an interview Babymetal did have a 10 year plan and then they would be done. after the last show there was a lot of time for Su to think about things and she said she had thought about not coming back but she said she loved Babymetal and what it is about and she made the decision to return. also Moa has also said wherever Su is she is right there by her side. Su has been rumored to have been practicing and learning new techniques about 8 hours a day. to me she is so much better than before. you can hear the maturity in her voice. now we have Momoko as Mom-Metal officially. she will bring new stuff also. the new outfits i didnt like at first because to me the other ones were so bad ass on them but now the new ones look so cool seeing them in shows. guess more progression for the girls. the new songs are so good. i have not found one i did not love. Time Wave is one of my favorites on the new album and The Legend is an awesome ballad style even has a sax solo in it.

Su and Moa had resigned their contract back before Metal Galaxy, when they were thinking about quitting when Yui quit. They decided then to give it to the 10th anniversary where a long extended break was scheduled to happen to see where they were and if they wanted to continue. It seems their contract length is around 5 years. When they moved from SG to Babymetal, they probably got really good contracts as they were already known talent.
I think how Babymetal is managed comes from that Koba wasn't really an idol producer, just some metalhead music producer that got the job when Amuse, who wasn't really an idol agency, wanted to expand their footprint in the idol market and created Sakura Gakuin.

BABYMETAL main music style has been Power Metal for their first two albums and part of Metal Galaxy, form IDZ and Akatsuki to Road of Resistance and Amore, up to ARKADIA, they delivered a lot of good songs in the genre.🤘🦊⚡

@@TheLeomarti those are the ones that best fits the genre, Amore probably being the top, but the elements of Power Metal, can be found in many other songs, though mixed with other styles. Of all the different nuances of metal you can find in BABYMETAL's discography, Power Metal is definitely the most recurring, followed by elements of Trash Metal and Djent.
