2:24 the best thing on that Tiger II 10.5 is that it has split ammunition. the charge is in the hull and just the warhead is in the turret. the warhead normaly doesn't explode wenn it got hit. thats the biggest difference in the Tiger II and the 10.5.
14:16 sums up my experience of Spawn in half the time. Spawn in and instantly drive into friendly, get free and drive right into another friendly that is still loading.

Personally if there’s a game mode where planes aren’t included I’d play this game more often. Planes are like arty in world of tanks. I have tried to learn how to fly planes but it’s not my cup of tea ☕️

I will never be able to shake my bias off of this thing. I spaded it years ago when it was the German answer to the T54s/IS4 and it was not fun. Of course the Kugelblitz was the obvious answer back then with it's full HVAP belt.
Another small advantage of the 105 is that sometimes when you take hits in the bustle you wont go up like the normal tiger 2 because of the way the ammo storage is

I remember seeing the "We're removing these tanks because they aren't historical", I am still fucking angry about that, look at a fucking large portion of the Russian tree, look at the completely pointless Russian 2.0 (China) tree, look at all of the vehicles in the bloody game that don't exist. And they removed this, like really Gaijin.
The 105mm cannon was completely made up for the Tiger II, the Panther II was also never meant to have the 88, it makes sense that these tanks would be removed from the game.
Easily my favorite thing about the gun on this Tiger is the fact that the APCBC kills all of a tank’s crew with overpressure 95% of the times it pens, really makes up for the reload time imo

Id kill for this thing just because of the rangefinder. When I saw people talking about the Panther F and Leo 1s rangefinder, this is what I had in mind. I can hardly tell a difference between those two and any other tank's rangefinder
The four main nations are at their worst (with arguably their best tanks) at around 5.3-6.7. That's where the iconic tanks are at so that's where all the nationalists flock to and get shit on for thinking their tank > literally any other tank
With this there is one simple rule: -You Pen, You kill. There is no way around that. Such a good looking tank. Flawless performing too (in game, in the right hands).
Every time i see a video like this, be it War Thunder or WoT, I have a hankering to start playing again - been playing ground forces since it arrived. However.........I can't help but remember all the pain over the years as a solo pleb who's not particularly great.
i m german and im usally pretty unbiased with the german tanks (at least how they function in the game) (im german) , but this thing is an incredibly beautiful tank that looks (at least in my eyes xD) perfect in every way. the big gun, the stylish desing and the suprisingly powerful engine makes me really jealous towards odd because he owns one ;)

I think it's more a case of it being ridiculous and un-realistic (to the extent that it became a meme on tank forums). The breech of the 105 would have shoved the commander's corpse out of the rear of the turret with each shot, for instance. Luckily, the thing would have been almost impossible to reload as well, so the two issues would cancel each other out. I don't mind some level of fantasy tanks in the game, but I'd at least like them to obey the laws of physics.
That Steel Foil guy was like me in a full uptier: be sad about full uptier, still top of the team with many kills and 0 deaths, only to then realize the entire rest of the team vanished into oblivion
i find it interesting how people complain about German tanks like the Panther II and Tiger 105 but they don't complain about Centurions going against WW2 tanks or any other post war tank going against WW2.
I'm so pissed they removed it. I started the game right after it was removed I don't care if it didn't exist I want one. It's easy for the players who already have it to say that non historical vehicles shouldn't be in the game. I'm grinding the japanese tree like crazy to make sure I get the ho-ri prototype and production before they decide to remove those too.
They will not remove the prototype, the production never even existed even in blueprint form so they will remove that one if they do even then its unlikely since there is nothing to fill the gap that would be left by their removal (specifically the production)
Dude this is actually my favorite way of playing warthunder i use the tiger 105 with the m262, have a couple of games and usually it ends with a smile🙂
I love this tank but every time i play it, i find myself thinking a regular Tiger 2H would have been better because of the reload. Blessing and a curse, because i'm forced to play more cautious and i survive more, picking one after another. Same applies to the IS2, as a T34 85 has a far better reload and i'd be able to do more in that particular situation, but surviving more is also fun. Doesn't do you any good if your team all suicides and you're left alone though.
1. i hope this year instead of the maus we will get the chance to research the panther 2, this tiger or the Flackpanzer 341 2. the longer the reload of a tank is (i.e. the AVRE), the better i perform😂
And -this- is why the KwK 10.5cm Tiger is my most favoured vehicle in the entire game, the TAM-2C and 2A6 coming a close paired second. Managed to unlock this bad boy, the Panther II, Coelian and Maus back in the day before removal.
Now imagine this cannon but instead of being a sub-caliber projectile apfsds its as thick as the actual barrel, that's what the xm803 and the mbt70 shoot with a 152mm cannon.
I greatly appreciate you thinking out loud, It's helped me learn quite a lot. Though I installed War Thunder a few years back, I barely touched it until recently because I didn't know what the hell I was doing. You've indirectly taught me what to look for and how to play. Thanks dude.
They can’t the tank never existed well it did it came around in 2013 after someone found out it could fit in the turret but did not realise that the breach was too long for the turret that’s why the one in the game looks funny as the turret looks stretched and the ammo looks too small

Might be just a skill issue, but any time I use the cannon 262, the accuracy makes my shells either paint an outline around the target, or I’ll be ridiculously precise on parts I can’t pen. Once I top-downed a Sherman and it hit the top .50, completely eating my shell

Another thing is that this tiger, is 50% better at not getting ammo racked. What I mean is, since the warhead and the casing have to be assembled (hence the long reload) when you take out half the ammo, only half of your tank is covered in ammo. So it is better if you (if I remember right) always engage YOUR right side of the tank, since its empty. Max is 27 or 28 shells. This ALSO catches SO MANY players off guard, since they are used to one-shotting the tiger in the turret from the front, since in the other 2 tigers you have only 1 crew in one side of the turret instead of the 2 this has. Also that 30-40mm of pen literally makes a difference in A LOT of tanks that you face sideways or head-on, since the enemy player is used to the other tigers. It can go through more armor/ more angle much easier than what anyone is used to (T29, T34, T30 all get manlet shot, lower plate shot from bad angles, and side shot from decently angled positions) In the other tigers, no matter what you bring, your turret is a ticking timebomb no matter how you peek.

As somebody who has spawned in many an aircraft, if you can manage to hold off firing and moving, you probably won't be seen (unless you're taking fire). It is very difficult to spot a tank among that clutter if they're sitting still.
I’ve been playing war thunder off and on since before tanks were in the game. During one of my breaks they removed this and when I came back I was pissed to not see it anymore in the tree and sadly I had only unlocked the first tigers at that time. Really disappointed that I missed out on this tank as it and the Panther 2 were the two German tanks I always wanted the most. I’m so sad I missed these, glad I was able to get the Maus more recently but I would have preferred the 10.5 or Panther 2
The intro with that epic music could be the trailer to some movie set in an alternate reality where germany is the good guys and the protagonist has to hold an entire zone against swarms of USSR tanks
I bought a warthunder account just to be able to enjoy this cat, but what i wasn't noticing is the repair cost of this thing 17k!. i can confirm to you that I hit the zero multiple times because of it💔
You’re forgetting about the secret buff that comes with a bigger gun… a bigger mantlet. Compare the percentage of the turret face covered by the mantlet for the 10.5 vs the 8.8cm tigers. Plus the rangefinder can sometimes save your bacon by eating some shrapnel. Also I never noticed issues with the shells disappearing into overlapping plates and whatnot. The 105mm is definitely my favorite tiger. Also, aside from the gun and tracks, I’m pretty sure you are immune to the US 76mm guns and 90mm M82 rounds from the front. With a bit of an angle I think you can even cheese US 90mm apcr.
I got a triple ace in the Tiger II 105 once before, might have actually done it more than once, but man, when its good, ITS GOOD. Haven't played that beast in forever though, but I spaded it quite quickly when I first got it.
Man i started playing in june.. first the US then switched to Germany. I really wish i had these tanks, i want this and the panther 2 for the 6.7 lineup
I remember getting the 105 when they had the old useless round that literally couldn't pen anything as the default. Man the grind was painful til you got the second round which is now the standard. Even the over penetrating solid shot was useless beyond sniping singular crew members. Huge cheeks, angular armor was useless against CHEATFS (before it was nerfed), 10+ second reload even with max crew... But yeah, if you penetrate with a round nothing survives unless its that Swedish STRV or whatever with the engine in the front.
Yes! Finally! I havent started watching, but after 11 hours of work, take away at my hotel, and I see this... My Fav tank, I use this every time I play WarThunder. 105, Panther II, Jagdtiger and wirvel. Cost? Booi, way too exensive when we often get into 7,7 games... But still, I love playing this tank... I stopped grinding for higher after I got this. Its so satisfying.. :D

getting air kills in GBs is so easy. most players are noobs with planes in that game mode so just take up a fighter and start shooting them down.

I gotta say against T 54s and IS 3s the penetration increase does help a lot at medium range you can kill a T 54 through the turret very reliably

Yeah this game puts you almost always to up tier. So when jumbo gets 6.7 just remember tiger 2s get 7.7 and 7.3 most of the matches

I don't care if it didn't exist I want one. It's easy for the players who already have it to say that non historical vehicles shouldn't be in the game. I'm grinding the japanese tree like crazy to make sure I get the ho-ri prototype and production before they decide to remove those too.
They will not remove the prototype, the production never even existed even in blueprint form so they will remove that one if they do
even then its unlikely since there is nothing to fill the gap that would be left by their removal (specifically the production)
Dude this is actually my favorite way of playing warthunder i use the tiger 105 with the m262, have a couple of games and usually it ends with a smile🙂
I love this tank but every time i play it, i find myself thinking a regular Tiger 2H would have been better because of the reload.
Blessing and a curse, because i'm forced to play more cautious and i survive more, picking one after another. Same applies to the IS2, as a T34 85 has a far better reload and i'd be able to do more in that particular situation, but surviving more is also fun.
Doesn't do you any good if your team all suicides and you're left alone though.
Please do this again but with the drone age updates new explosion physics, it’d look beautiful

And -this- is why the KwK 10.5cm Tiger is my most favoured vehicle in the entire game, the TAM-2C and 2A6 coming a close paired second.
Managed to unlock this bad boy, the Panther II, Coelian and Maus back in the day before removal.
Now imagine this cannon but instead of being a sub-caliber projectile apfsds its as thick as the actual barrel, that's what the xm803 and the mbt70 shoot with a 152mm cannon.

They can’t the tank never existed well it did it came around in 2013 after someone found out it could fit in the turret but did not realise that the breach was too long for the turret that’s why the one in the game looks funny as the turret looks stretched and the ammo looks too small

Might be just a skill issue, but any time I use the cannon 262, the accuracy makes my shells either paint an outline around the target, or I’ll be ridiculously precise on parts I can’t pen. Once I top-downed a Sherman and it hit the top .50, completely eating my shell
.50s love to magnetize rounds to them. You can shoot a Pershing point blank and the round will be absorbed to the coax 50.

Another thing is that this tiger, is 50% better at not getting ammo racked. What I mean is, since the warhead and the casing have to be assembled (hence the long reload) when you take out half the ammo, only half of your tank is covered in ammo. So it is better if you (if I remember right) always engage YOUR right side of the tank, since its empty. Max is 27 or 28 shells.
This ALSO catches SO MANY players off guard, since they are used to one-shotting the tiger in the turret from the front, since in the other 2 tigers you have only 1 crew in one side of the turret instead of the 2 this has.
Also that 30-40mm of pen literally makes a difference in A LOT of tanks that you face sideways or head-on, since the enemy player is used to the other tigers. It can go through more armor/ more angle much easier than what anyone is used to (T29, T34, T30 all get manlet shot, lower plate shot from bad angles, and side shot from decently angled positions)
In the other tigers, no matter what you bring, your turret is a ticking timebomb no matter how you peek.

As somebody who has spawned in many an aircraft, if you can manage to hold off firing and moving, you probably won't be seen (unless you're taking fire). It is very difficult to spot a tank among that clutter if they're sitting still.

I’ve been playing war thunder off and on since before tanks were in the game. During one of my breaks they removed this and when I came back I was pissed to not see it anymore in the tree and sadly I had only unlocked the first tigers at that time. Really disappointed that I missed out on this tank as it and the Panther 2 were the two German tanks I always wanted the most. I’m so sad I missed these, glad I was able to get the Maus more recently but I would have preferred the 10.5 or Panther 2
The intro with that epic music could be the trailer to some movie set in an alternate reality where germany is the good guys and the protagonist has to hold an entire zone against swarms of USSR tanks

You’re forgetting about the secret buff that comes with a bigger gun… a bigger mantlet. Compare the percentage of the turret face covered by the mantlet for the 10.5 vs the 8.8cm tigers. Plus the rangefinder can sometimes save your bacon by eating some shrapnel. Also I never noticed issues with the shells disappearing into overlapping plates and whatnot. The 105mm is definitely my favorite tiger. Also, aside from the gun and tracks, I’m pretty sure you are immune to the US 76mm guns and 90mm M82 rounds from the front. With a bit of an angle I think you can even cheese US 90mm apcr.

I got a triple ace in the Tiger II 105 once before, might have actually done it more than once, but man, when its good, ITS GOOD. Haven't played that beast in forever though, but I spaded it quite quickly when I first got it.
Man i started playing in june.. first the US then switched to Germany. I really wish i had these tanks, i want this and the panther 2 for the 6.7 lineup

I remember getting the 105 when they had the old useless round that literally couldn't pen anything as the default. Man the grind was painful til you got the second round which is now the standard.
Even the over penetrating solid shot was useless beyond sniping singular crew members.
Huge cheeks, angular armor was useless against CHEATFS (before it was nerfed), 10+ second reload even with max crew...
But yeah, if you penetrate with a round nothing survives unless its that Swedish STRV or whatever with the engine in the front.

Yes! Finally! I havent started watching, but after 11 hours of work, take away at my hotel, and I see this... My Fav tank, I use this every time I play WarThunder. 105, Panther II, Jagdtiger and wirvel. Cost? Booi, way too exensive when we often get into 7,7 games... But still, I love playing this tank... I stopped grinding for higher after I got this. Its so satisfying.. :D
