Nice overview Dustin, hopefully or maybe not hopefully, you'll get a chance to use it on Jan. 14th. Hopefully not because of me😂. I have considered this winch too, would love a Warn, but geez, who has the money? Is there another version of this same one with better fit and finish?
I haven’t had to use the winch yet but I did hit a tree pretty hard while cresting a hill. I haven’t noticed any flex. One issue we have that I hadn’t noticed yet when I made the video is that the winch plate collects water and mud a lot. I’m going to drill some holes to stop that. I’m surprised to hear that the DV8 is like that, their stuff is usually pretty stout.
@@evilracingandoff-road yeah the dv8 bumper flexes enough that it makes contact on that painted plastic trim under the grill and pops it out in the corners.
Great informative video. Do you think an additional pair of 3” pod lights could be installed in the lower center openings? Or, maybe even shorter pods like 4Bangers. Basically, on the sides of where the ACC would go.
Might be room for that. I can’t say if it would interfere with the sensor or not (we don’t have ACC). Might restrict some airflow to the intercooler but probably won’t make much difference there. We plan on adding lights to the intended spots.
This video will be very helpful to whoever is installing this. I had the same exact problems with the bumper. The instructions say it is best to fully assemble the bumper before installing it on the truck. That is a lie. Your right. The winch plate should go on last along with the light bar housing. I want to add that if installing the parking sensors to leave the rubber seal from Ford on the outer ones so that it pushes the sensor back and helps with fitment where the connector comes in contact with the bumper. If not it might tweak the sensor and it will give off false readings. Also use the round piece of foam that you would discard and put it on top on the sensor before you install the holder. It will give you a snug fit and the plastic will not rub on the sensor.
Great review! Bumper looks good!

Perfect timing for this video man. Just bought this bumper along with the rear. Looks good 🤙🏽
what did you end up doing with license plate on rear? Also do they feel strong
Did you need to cut the factory tow hooks to install this?
how strong is the bumper? have you had to use the winch yet? i have a dv8 bumper that has horrible flex and looking to replace it.

I bought the masher bumper! I love the quality and great for the price

I’m installing this same exact bumper. One thing we agree on is the instructions need to be updated. Do you have a video of the install?
I didn’t think to record it at the time but I’d be happy to answer questions
What solenoid did you use for the power? Thanks.
I still haven’t done it since we don’t have the aux switches but you can use the Stinger SGP35.

Thank you for the info on the sensor. Our Bronco doesn’t have one so hopefully it helps someone with that part.
