"We live, we die, and like the grass and trees, renew ourselves from the soft earth of the grave. Stones crumble and decay, faiths grow old and they are forgotten, but new beliefs are born. The faith of the villages is dust now... but it will grow again... like the trees." JOESPH - Chief Joseph, Nez Perce (1840-1904)
I think so the man must be in peace with the trees, water, rocks, mountains, moon and the sky. Congratulations Ronald!!..your song have a peaceful atmosphere very necesary in this violence world. The man has forget the espiritual rules. Salutes from El Salvador in Central America
I was looking for something to wake me up and get me moving...guess I was doing it in a brainwashed western way, needing loud jarring active noise to push me out my door. I found this just before the sun was all the way up. I remembered notions like balance, dedication, true strength. I smiled, went out to meet the sun, and my grandparents (over coffee). Thank you.
this is why i love being native american [chippewa] whenever im feeling down or im stressed i always liten to my native amerrican music on my ipod and instantly i feel relieved of my stress!
“Oh, Great Spirit Whose voice I hear in the winds, And whose breath gives life to all the world, hear me, I am small and weak, I need your strength and wisdom. Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset. Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice. Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people. Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock. I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy - myself. Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes. So when life fades, as the fading sunset, my Spirit may come to you without shame.” . Chief Yellow Lark of the Lakota.
I studied for some of my exams by listening to this in the background...It really helped calm me down and was so gorgeous to listen to. I absolutely love Native American culture, music, and history!
@RonaldRoybal i just wanted to tell u that when i am very streesed i listen to native american flute music and it calmes me very quick and puts me in to avry good mood
Wonderful. You are the reason I picked up the flute; you and Mary Youngblood. Absolutely beautiful. Thank-you for sharing your gift with the Universe. Peace-n-Love to you always
The sweet sound of the American flute always calm my spirit and relaxed me in a way nothing else can do. Thanks for such a beautify and sweet music. Magdalena,
cool - thanks for sharing. people - it's not the colour of humans that makes things destructive, it is the choices they make. We are all interconnected, let us try to be together in harmony.
Very nice,You have wonderful talent and Heart...As a maker and player of the Native flute i know it's Power of healing and you relay that very well..Thanks for sharing..:)
Actually, I was performing for a group with the microphone connected to a Gallien Krueger amplifier. The film crew recorded me from some distance away.
I especially liked your vibrato and how it sounds likes little birdies tweeting! :-) I also loved seeing the audience responses to the music - just gorgeous!
I'm just a beginning flute player but I learned so much on this particular song. I will be working toward some of your effect and embellishments. Most beautiful. I have saved this to my playlist for future reference.Thank you.
namaste ronald, a lady who i chat with online introduced me to american flute playing when i said i was interested in taking up flute. and i have to say, from the songs ive heard so far, it is very beautiful sounding. im looking forward to hearing more.
Beautiful song, beautiful spirit... Thank you my brother for sharing your gift with all of us... We should all pray to wake to each sunrise with such a peaceful song in our hearts. May the spirit bless you... mikki white eagle~
The AKG C419 is the best microphone for performance I have ever used. That's why I own several for back up. Every flute has a different dynamic and that is why a lavalier doesn't work very well for my purposes. Mic stands are a pain and are very ugly and feed back is always an issue. Honestly, I have been doing this for many, many years. My rig works great and the proof is in the number of positive comments that I get!
that is the nicest sounding flute ive ever heard so props to the flute maker. Also, a great flute would sound terrible without a great player and you sir are one of the best, if not the best. keep up the great work ronald
Why do i feel such passion? this is so beautiful! i'm learning to play at the moment but alas i don't have a good sound system for recording...altho i have posted one or two of my efforts on here...thank you for sharing!
After enjoying more of your videos, I became aware that it was your mic! My comments were based on my preferences, but if you ask 3 recording engineers how something should be mic'ed, you'll get 8 answers anyway (and if you're lucky, a fight :) If you are doing it yourself, and using it for reinforcement and not just recording then that changes the picture, and it sounds like you have a very good system. I will be asking you a tuning question shortly... I thank you for sharing this medicine.
I like listening to just a few notes and technique and then turn it off and play my flute. I get inspired by hearing just a touch of another spirit song. Thanks for the inspirations. I Don't play through an amp to distort or amplify the sounds.
where can I buy ur CD this is what I love to listen to when I feel down it makes me pray my problems away in a good way thank you for sharing ur beautiful talent...smiles ur friend in BC Canada...leave me a message to let me know where I can buy ur Cd at thanks...

i love native american flute for 3years, she talk to my soul and my heart. ( sorry for my english , i'm a french guy) can i buy your blue star native jacket ? thank you for your answer .
Absolutely beautiful.. where can you buy a flute like that? I am very interested in acquiring one of these flutes to help me in my meditation, and for the sake of making music.
As a Theatre Tech/Sound Technician, I would identify that as a "Microphone" most likely being used to pick up the sound of the flute for purposes of recording. Note: I am not a Sound Recording Engineer (most of the time! :), so if it is being used for recording purposes, it is outside of my main field of expertise. OK, now that I have the "Ask a question, get a stupid answer" UA-cam standard smartass remark out of the way! :) It looks like an AKG C 419 Instrument mic. Pretty standard fare...
My mom is oglala. She was born on the first white buffalos birthday. She named me amber dawn. Love this song. Very nice. Thank you

No, my mother is Spanish Colonial in heritage. My father is Tewa/Mestizo.
