What cpu do you run if you don’t mind me asking? I’m just getting into building a pc and am looking to purchase the same graphics card. Im not very well versed in all of it yet but im looking for a cpu that’s not too expensive but also won’t bottle neck my gpu. Any help would be appreciated!
I have the ryzen 5 3600x however if you want a solid chip that new the Ryzen 5 5600 and 5600x are a good choice aswell if you have any more questions feel free to ask also a sub to the channel would mean a lot. Thx

I have watched a few of these vids for the rtx 3060 instillation and all of the people so far have something in common. None of them remember to change the battery in their smoke detectors. Beep*

You should also be using ddu to wipe the drivers before installing a new gpu
I have a default pcie cable from 750w source, is a 8 pin pcie cable with 2 of theme little longer. Card has 8 pin entry but cable enter full only on those 2 longer, other six half way and no click sound of any type. Is this normal?

the cables would be with power supply. no power cables with GPUs

I have a 650 watt psu from cooler master and that had the cables I needed but to make it look nice I order custom cables from easy DIY on amazon

Little to late but i got a rtx 3060 and I can't seem to find a PCI-e with 8+6 can you provide me the link pls?
In this video the MSI 3060 shows to have 6 pin and 8 pin connectors. On Newegg and other sites, pictures show only one 8 pin connector. No 6 pin. Are there two versions? I need an adaptor for my PSU, but I want to purchase the right one.
Yes I have also seen this as well the RTX3060 gpus from MSI have a 6 and 8 pin connector like the one it the video but other brands have different power requirements hope this help you if not feel free to ask for more information
Complete noob question: If I am uninstalling a gtx 1660 ti and installing a RTX 3060 do I need to uninstall drivers before replacing GTX 1660 ti. Or is that only if I was switching from Nvidia to AMD?
Hi personally, when I swap out gpus, I don't delete the drivers for the old one. I just install the new drivers for the new card, and everything works fine

There are actually 8 pin and 6 pin power connectors. Question: I have an older 650 Watt Ultra PSU with two 6 pin PCIe connectors, but no 8 pin connector. Can I use a 6 to 8 pin adapter for the second connector?

8:09 why is only 1 fan rotating and not the other? is that used when a certain temp is reached or during overclock?
Unfortunately my GPU had a fault with the fan but I was able to send it back and get a replacement it looked like it could have been repaired but the technician said to just leave it and get the free replacement
If your having any issues try returning the gpu if you can

Unfortunately, yes, the core I5 10th gen will bottleneck the rtx 3060 it will reduce the performance by almost 10%, if not more. I'd recommend the core i7 10th gen or if you want to switch the ryzen a R5 5600 would work hope this helps you if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

i got a rtx 3060 and in mw2 i get 140 fps and in warzone 80fps how can i fix this beacuse my friends get like 100 fps and they got a 2060
If your running high settings that seems right so there's nothing wrong although one thing you can do just to make sure it check your drivers to make sure they are the latest ones
@@M20UBR88 i play low and got the latest drivers
In that case try and return the gpu as it might be a faulty unit you should not be getting 80 fps on low settings that's not good
In forza horizon 5 I was getting almost 120 fps on extreme settings so theres a chance that your gpu is faulty

i got the same 3060 that you have but i don't have 2 cables to connect
You can use the cables that are on your power supply there are no included cables in the box hope this helps you if you have anymore questions feel free to ask
@@M20UBR88 i dont have a 8 pin one, but i had a 2 pin and a 6pin so i put them together in the 8 pin slot and still not working, when i turn on the computer there a light on the mother board
You need 8 pin plus a 6 pin to power this graphics card it won't work with just a 8 pin
@@M20UBR88 nvm my mother board wasn't good enough and power supply so i bought better ones and it should work ill kept you updated they arrive January 1-12, if anything goes wrong, thanks for the help

I have actual screws, not thumb screws... I don' have a screwdriver and my PC is just fucked right now because of a possible seating issue with the card. fml
