Alex, great video. I’m a Mizuno fan for my irons but I cannot take cobra driver, 3W and hybrids out of the bag. I don’t have the newest but there is something about the feel and the sound. I have the baffler two rail hybrids 18-23 degrees and they are confidence building get out of jail clubs. Kudos to Cobra for the Darkspeed. It’s like they anticipated the 2024 offerings from the traditional big brands and went the extra step to get it right.
As someone who just broke 100 twice within a couple of games recently and has been playing overall for about 2 years I found the cobra hybrids to give me the best leg up in my quest for distance. I recently acquired a 4-hybrid and I can get about 185m if I'm hitting from the fairway with great face control. The 3 wood looks perfect to try next.
I currently use the SpeedZone driver, 3-wood and 3 & 4 hybrids and I love them. However, the new DarkSpeed look delicious! Can't wait to try them. They just might convince me to upgrade.
I still have the RAD driver and 3 wood in the Navy ( favorite color) and I always want to try new clubs but I feel I should feed my kids quality food rather than continue with my golf dreams. 😃
Agree with you, but I’m guilty. I’d gladly give up 10 yards to play something that looks as good as this as opposed to something longer that looks (and sounds)like old Nikes. But maybe we don’t have to? Gonna give these a try, for sure.
I love the blacked out look of the DarkSpeed fairway woods. I don't mind the glossy crown on my Cobra RadSpeeds, but l've never cared for the bold colors on the sole.
Cobra fairway woods have been good for a long time. I think matte vs gloss/flashy is personal taste, although I also prefer the matte. Found the LS is crazy low spin. Probably ok as a tee shot club but goes nearly as far as driver so what's the point. Even the standard model is a bomber but lower profile so easier to launch off the deck.
I have a F max driver F max superlite irons and I love the black and red look. The Darkspeed lineup is like those on steroids and I'd love to buy them (when I get better😂)
They look very good. Good review am in the maker for a new wood after getting back into golf after 15 years off. Could you do a comparison between a lot of brands of fairway woods, like you did for the drivers please?
I go friday to try the dark speed driver and ai smoke driver Saturday. Tried the QI10 and did not like it at all, but the Ping G430max that was a great club
I compared the Darkspeed X to my Taylormade Sim (and all the new drivers from Ping, TaylorMade, Callaway) - Darkspeed X was marginally better than all and looked great in matt black - I liked the other new ones as well from other brands but weren’t offering me any greater performance but were £100-150 more - I think these leading brands are really taking the p’ss with their prices now tbh - at least Cobra kept same price as last year
I’ve used Cobra woods since the F8 changing annually or every 2 years and to be honest I wouldn’t put Taylormade or Callaway ahead of Cobra for quality or usability
I swing driver average 100mph not really quick. I game a ping lst driver. I’m not sure if this lst 3 wood would better suited me. My current ping g400 max 3 wood I find very spinny. It stalls. Carries around 200 yards off the deck. Do you think this would suits me with lower swing speed. I play off 6.
The matte black looks nicer than most matte black clubs. Personally I like the glossier finish. Just a personal taste. I love my AeroJet LS Driver i got fitted for last year. I struggled to hit the AeroJet LS 3 wood last year and I traded it in for a Titleist TSR2 hybrid. You are hitting those very nicely. Great video
I have a lot of money invested in my irons and driver. My woods are old school. Callaway Big Bertha Hawkeye 3,5, and 7 wood. The 3 wood I hit mid 250s on average. I have had many in the 270s and cranked one this summer that went 283. There was a little tail wind on that one. As much as I want to buy a new 3 wood for my bag, I am having a hard justifying it for anything more than looks. I have hit the new Sirixon, and I like it. Does it out perform my Hawkeye? No. At least not in the short comparison I did last week on simulator. It is currently below zero here now and definitely not playing on the course, lol. I keep watching all of these reviews looking for a replacement. The new Cobra lineup just doesn't grab me. They look awesome. But would it outperform my current 3 wood? Not according to this. I am sure it will benefit many players though.
I'm with you, I play the old Tour Edge Bazooka 3wood, I would up grade to a new one if they are longer , but as yet the old girl still gets me 230-5m average, have the longest at 272m , In winter I don't even carry my driver. Kids bought me the new KRANK 3 wood+, The brand Bryson DeChambeau uses for long drive comps. and it's similar to my Bazooka.
It's basically just an ltdx blacked out version. And seeing as they're basically the same as last year there charging a heap more for a colour upgrade lol. Pretty disappointed in Cobra.
The Darkspeed line has been a major disappointment compared to what the other brands dropped. I love the Aerojet LS driver, but am not a fan of this entire line.
15 minute video spends 10 minutes talking about how they look... the one quality that has no impact on how you play. No #s, no comprehensive testing, no comparisons to the brands he called out... nearly useless review.

I don’t really mind either design of the Darkspeed or Aerojet but I love my Aerojet LS Driver it just sounds so solid hitting the ball.

I have a cobra biocell + 3d with matrix red tie shaft and I love it. Old but still bomb it fast enough

Cobra radspeed is superb from 3 years ago, and the gloss finish and infinity face look way better than all black matt IMO

Yeah i agree here, some clubs aren’t worth it if they don’t outweigh, and not always for everyone!
