I have to say thank you for all the info you put out on trapping. I’m new to beaver trapping and have learned everything I’m doing from your videos and have caught some this year with the sideways 330 and swivel stick!
Hey Scott, I’m hoping you might be able to give me some advice. My MIL has a pesky beaver that I tried trapping for her in the fall and again over the past week. All I she to work with is a giant food pile and no lodge, only bank dens in a smaller river. In the fall it set off 3 330’s without getting caught. This winter I went back to try through the ice. Under the ice, I set 3 bank dens with 330’s none of them fired, no beaver. The bank dens all had peeled stick and little ice when I found them and one of them had lots of poop too. I figured that this beaver might be wary of 330’s after my failures this past fall, so I swapped one 330 with a snare and setup a baited pole with a couple snares. Checked again today and nothing at all. Not sure what to do at this point, she really wants that beaver gone and I’m running out of ideas. Should I keep trying with snares? Are footholds effective on runs? Should I just wait until spring and set some footholds? Appreciate any help!
I was told that as you get older, if you can't read the license plate on your truck, you are carrying the beaver too far. Of course on the ice a sled makes a big difference.
scott you are no douth the best beaver trapper on you tube, watch you every day, thank you for taking us along.

I've never seen you trap coyotes but I have seen you catch huge walleyes 😅
Wouldn’t that be great if we could drive to all the lodges!! 😜
You should have a skinning video. And Maybe even the selling of the Pelts
Its time to weld up an H-stand that holds 3 traps for those deep honey holes 🦫
