I didn't have any concept of time, really, but the 5 second loop would replay quickly, and then slowly, and I just remember kind of foggily thinking, "is this all there is? Regarding the last story, I recently saw a comment similar on r/askreddit about glitches in the matrix. OP was around the same age & was going back into his house to get shoes when he saw a man in a coat & red converse on the sidewalk. OP assumed he was his dad so started to go towards him, but suddenly got a very bad feeling, & iirc the dude left quickly. OP goes inside to tell his mother & sister about the man, but they all go outside to see no sign of him. Years later OP asks his parents for a coat for his birthday, since he liked one a video game character had. When he unwrapped it, it was the exact same coat that strange dude wore so many years ago. I do enjoy stories of people interacting with their future/past selves; makes you think _a lot_ hahah. I think this could be one in the video tbh. So similar to this comment I saw recently, I hope they didn’t inspire each other lol.
That first one: that definitely wasn't the actual original post. I remember reading that when it was first posted and there is a lot missing. It wasn't written that way and there's a lot of details not there. For instance, from the very beginning, the description of the OP getting hit- the talk about getting hit, waking up to paramedics or EMTs or whatever, they talk about where they had been walking, going to get checked out, etc. And I don't remember it jumping right ton"met a girl, chased her down, knocked her up". They talked a bit about doing things, then meeting this girl, then went into dating her for awhile, etc. And the section about the family was much longer with a lot more detail, as well as the initial interruption in their vision - how at first it was small but it grew over time, etc. What was there was like someone tried to do a summary or book report on the original post but it came out clumsy. Reading the original wasn't like that- you felt like you were actually reading someone talking about their life
Kai's Power Goo was one of my favorite "game" when i was a child, but you could just distord part of the image like shown in the video, i don't remember the possibility to mix faces. But i was a child, so maybe i just didn't found the tool to do that
This is also the third video I’ve watched in 2 days mentioning “King of Prussia”, a western Philadelphia suburb with nothing going on but a huge outlet mall. There was also a handrail in the parkinglot so small that in hindsight I have no idea why a rail so low would even be constructed. anybody taller than danny devito would have no use for it. Regardless, there’s gotta be a few tricks that had never been done down a rail. It was like watching my friends skate a little rail at a skatepark. Thrasher ended up making that a designated spot in like 2005 so by then Chris cole was doing back 360 kickflips to front crooks or whatever. It’s honestly funny how low that rail is. If you can skate curbs but drank enough redbull odds are you could atleast make it up onto the rail.
Oh boy, the lamp story again. This is my absolute favorite example of terrible redditry. The lamp is usually cited as one of reddit's greatest ever "TRUE" scary stories but it's so obviously a bad ripoff of An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce which was written in 1890 and a lot of kids in the USA read in high school. And if not from there, the short story was made into tv episodes and even a movie. there are a shit ton of other things that have borrowed that concept such as one of the greatest Star Trek TNG Episodes the Inner Light, Rick and Morty, a Junji Ito manga called The Long Sleep, a Stephen King short story called the Jaunt, etc etc. Both the Jaunt and The Long Sleep are based around the concept of living out years in your mind but almost no time passing in the "real world". This is a common example of terrible redditry where a mediocre writer steals a famous idea, writes it poorly, and then tries to pass it off as non-fiction because if it were in any of the fiction subreddits (where people are typically way more well-read and critical of writing) no one would care. It got traction because the average redditor is very stupid and it was posted (and reposted) in subreddits that are supposed to be for "real" stories.
Not to mention the cop dragging an unconscious man into the back of his car and taking him to the hospital. It never would have happened in that circumstance. If the ambulance couldn't get there, a helicopter would have been sent in.
The voice actor Eric Vale tells a story at conventions kind of like the lamp story. He said when he was working as a pizza delivery guy he had a TV fall on his head while at his apartment one day and had to get checked out after that. (It was the 90s/early 2000s I think, tvs were HUGE back then) He says he didn't get the call for his first big part until after he got hit by the TV. So he wonders if one day he'll wake up and find out that his whole career, wife, etc was all a dream and he's still under that TV.
The story about the "doppelganger" doesn't really sound all that supernatural. If the dad really wore the same thing to work all the time, then it's entirely possible someone else took notice and deliberately dressed himself up as him. It could've been to try to abduct one of his kids (especially given the way he reacted to the OP), or to commit a crime and have the blame pinned on him. But when the ACTUAL dad saw him, he had to abandon the scheme. Still a creepy story, and still plausible IMO! I just don't think it's paranormal.
Reddit is so full of crap. It’s like the cesspool of the internet. Every once in a while something nice falls in, you just have to sift through the turds to find it.
These type of videos where you cover weird interent stories are my favorite. I'm a skeptical person so I rarely believe these things but I love listening to them. The first story I've heard before and its on my favorites, was cool hearing you narate it.

I’ve been living with psychosis for a while now, and tend to hallucinate, (they get worse when I’m distressed) and the lamp story terrifies me every time. For OP not going into detail about his family, in a dream state your mind tends to skip through time and space and fill in the missing parts subconsciously so it’s fair that he wouldn’t remember it or be able to describe it but have it in his subconscious
yeah, also usually you cant fully see someone in your dream. you might recougnize them as a certain person, but you usually cant recall any actual features of the person in your dreams. dreams are weird and our brains are even weirder
I posted about this on a different video on the same subject but I swear my uncle is the person who made the creepy ugly dude face. He was showing me how to use Kai's power goo and made that as an example. The face of the guy and the pigtails are from the program itself. The chimp/ monkey from a search online (Probably through Ask Jeeves since it's what my grandparents used and it was on their computer as I was visiting their house at the time.) to show how to load another image from outside the program. The worse part is that computer that it was on has since long been dead so I have no proof but I remember him making it and being annoyed about how crooked he made the pigtails and that the color of the eyes wasn't an even color/ had red eye in it. I do know that at that time my uncle went by something like 13rainboy (Or other similar to Brainboy) user names. I have no idea where he would have uploaded it though. I don't even know if he would remember the image if I brought it up to him. (It was sometime in the 90s.)
First story is bs. Pretty sure it's a fucking Doctor Who episode, and there's also a similar Junji Ito manga. That's not to say I don't believe something like that could happen, just that specific story is bs.
It's definitely fake but there's some interesting truth to it. It's actually very common for mechanical things such as lights, clocks, and electronics to not work in dreams. I had this really weird dream once where I was dreaming that I was lucid but I wasn't really. I remember in that dream I kept trying to turn off the lights in my room because I thought that'd wake me up and I wouldn't be "lucid" dreaming anymore. I guess our brains can't process electricity or electronics correctly in the subconscious? I don't know, I really wish there was more research put into dreaming.
What's the Ito manga? I don't remember any and I think I've read everything he's done up until like 2016 Edit: Oh Long Dream. It's, kinda the same concept yeah. I wouldn't have thought about it at all, I guess because the story takes a different direction to what the post does.
My mum had Kai’s power goo, idk if it’s specific to the Australian release but ours was called Kai’s Super Goo. I remember my mum setting it up for me to play with when I was around 4-5 in the very early 2000’s
when it comes to the "break in the simulation" stuff, I've had many very strong cases of deja vu, and I know the logical explanation that your brain stores what you're currently experiencing in your memory before it does the active part of your brain. However I have also had a few times where I got deja vu and then remembered what happens in the next 30-60 seconds and then it happens. Has anyone else had an experience like this?
The firskt story convinced me that self delete via fire arm in the head may not be as painless as some think. If you don't do it just right, you could put yourself in a situation like the first story, but instead be forced to live a lifetime of pain or torture with zero recourse. Most science points to the brain having a death mode where a cascade of endorphins flood it and make it peaceful. You disrupt all that with trauma.
my dad has told me a story a couple times where he nearly crashed his car because he saw his doppelganger drive past on the other side of the road. he said it freaked him out a lot (hence nearly crashing). his memory may not be the most reliable as he was a bit of a party animal back then (this was before i was born). but still, quite an interesting thing to hear from somebody!
That first story reminds me a lot of an episode of Justice League, where a villain puts Superman into a comatose state where he imagines his perfect life, living on Krypton with his father, his wife, and his son. But then he realizes it's fake, and goes through a very similar experience as the OP in that Reddit story, having to grapple with the fact that his life and his family were all just a dream. Only, Superman got to beat the shit out of the villain, l afterward.
The first story reminded me of that one Superman story called "For The Man Who Has Everything" where Superman gets transported into an alternate reality where his planet never blew up.
The first story (the infamous lamp story) is absolutely heartbreaking. There's another similar one where a woman had a whole ass life just while asleep for a few hours. I had a recurring, very vivid dream of an alternate universe where my mom survived cancer and even in the dream I was confused about it initially then just happy... until I'd wake up. It felt like grieving her loss all over again and I think it really worried my husband for a while. Maybe it was her way of saying goodbye? I don't know but it's been years since I last had that dream.
Yeah, used power goo back in the day. Was released around the same time as bryce 3D, and spent more time messing with that. Was an image manipulator where you could alter, stretch and change images you loaded. Functions that later became commonplace in most programs like gimp or photoshop.
I lived an entire lifetime as a medieval king with children and all and died of old age, waking up to me at 11 and remembering me n my friend were using ballons to black out by inhale exhale into them. Try as i might the details ran through my fingers like water, all i can remember is the image of the throne room i died in. Thats all that lasted.
The poop man is probably just somebody who was suffering with a digestive problem and couldn't make it to a bathroom. It may be considered "crime", but the human body doesn't care about any laws beyond the law of nature. When a human being is sick, stuff comes out suddenly, without warning, and you can't stop it when it happens.
I’ve had some weird dreams that reoccur that really make me question stuff. Edit: In one of them I went AWOL and went to a trap house where Marilyn Manson was smoking meth. The base guards caught me and when I was being sentenced in the commanders office Marilyn Manson came in and said, “he’s with me.” I was let go and I turned around and said, “thanks Marilyn Manson!” This dream never reoccurred but I can’t forget it. It’s hilarious.
Last story sounds like sleep walking. I have done it before with similar experiences. The dad may have just been freaked out his son slept walk and almost left the house and that could have ended badly.
I have had that Pure Sparkle. Found it at my Dollar Tree as well. It came in four-packs, if I remember correctly. The mandarin orange flavor is decent, definitely tasted like Halo oranges. There was a lemon-lime flavor that was good too. I liked it better than the mandarin. I feel there was a grapefruit flavor, but I don't remember trying it. I wasn't able to find any info on the brand either.
The story where the guy got the concussion and dreamed about a whole other reality reminds me of that episode of Justice League where Superman contrscted a parasite and dreamed about a whole other life on krypton.
In the story about the guy who goes unconscious and lives a life while unconscious it's not just that he doesn't provide any details of the family he claims to love so much, he doesn't even provide their names. It's also interesting that he uses the term bore me a child. That's such a gross and unromantic way to talk about The birth of a child. Doesn't sound like he loved the wife much. It sounds like some weird alpha male Fantasy. He has a daughter first but doesn't see her in her dreams. He just glimpses his son. Why not the daughter too? He lived with her longer than he lived with the son. He supposedly loved all of them so much. Why does he only see the sun. Sorry, using speech to text so if things seem weird that's why. nah, gonzo raw dogging in with the sponsor? No Foreplay, no talking?
straight up dirty.
Your videos have a unique atmosphere. Editing really helps.
Reading the original wasn't like that- you felt like you were actually reading someone talking about their life
Shout out to raycons man. Single handedly keeping all of UA-cam paid lol
Kai's Power Goo was one of my favorite "game" when i was a child, but you could just distord part of the image like shown in the video, i don't remember the possibility to mix faces. But i was a child, so maybe i just didn't found the tool to do that
11:20 Butthole Surfers album cover for Hairway to Steven is like this with photos of the band members.
L take
Yea im tired of seeing this in literally every single video like this. W take
I hate conspiracy theory in general
Not to mention the cop dragging an unconscious man into the back of his car and taking him to the hospital. It never would have happened in that circumstance. If the ambulance couldn't get there, a helicopter would have been sent in.
@@larsulrichvevo3196 Sorry your fave story is mid bro
The voice actor Eric Vale tells a story at conventions kind of like the lamp story. He said when he was working as a pizza delivery guy he had a TV fall on his head while at his apartment one day and had to get checked out after that. (It was the 90s/early 2000s I think, tvs were HUGE back then) He says he didn't get the call for his first big part until after he got hit by the TV. So he wonders if one day he'll wake up and find out that his whole career, wife, etc was all a dream and he's still under that TV.
3:30 she “bore me” a daughter and “bore me” a son? What year is this bullsh*t story taking place in, 1935?
Likely was an older individual writing the post
@@macaylacayton2915 yeah I’d say. Probably 127 years old lol.
I just don't think it's paranormal.
video starts at 1:27
Reddit is so full of crap. It’s like the cesspool of the internet. Every once in a while something nice falls in, you just have to sift through the turds to find it.
"She bore ME a son" ...🚩
Again likely an older individual writing
These type of videos where you cover weird interent stories are my favorite. I'm a skeptical person so I rarely believe these things but I love listening to them.
The first story I've heard before and its on my favorites, was cool hearing you narate it.
The lamp story has been floating arkund a lot. I even made a subpar indie film based on it. 😥
Holy hell i have some of that sparkling water in my fridge. Bought at a dollar tree in oklahoma.
Is it as good as they claim it to be?
@@DebunkFile It's not bad. I would put it in the same tier as La Criox. That being said, I'm not huge drinker of fizzy water. IF you have a PO box for fanmail I would send you a can to try for yourself and/ or see if you can accrue any more info from it.
I’ve definitely seen pure sparkle. Don’t remember what store but I remember seeing somewhere in Cincinnati
Doppelgängers acting out your thoughts in public. That's .. rather frightening.
Thank you so much you don’t know how much a upload video of you means to us. Makes our day way better.
ALWAYS wonderful when you post...watching now
I was listening to this while I had a breakthrough in my group project!! Thank you!
I don't remember any and I think I've read everything he's done up until like 2016
Edit: Oh Long Dream. It's, kinda the same concept yeah. I wouldn't have thought about it at all, I guess because the story takes a different direction to what the post does.
redditors are below even dreaming about having a wife, they lie about dreaming about having a wife lmao
My mum had Kai’s power goo, idk if it’s specific to the Australian release but ours was called Kai’s Super Goo. I remember my mum setting it up for me to play with when I was around 4-5 in the very early 2000’s
Dude in the first story got punched so hard his ass ended up in another universe….
I LOVE YOU BRO. Never stop making vids.
certified hell yeah moment
deskjockey shouldve just used detective vision to see if his dopple-dad had any bones or not smh
Debunk hype, I needed this. As soon as I heard shape of the lamp I knew.
at 11:05 is.. is that Ian from Brutalmoose?
when it comes to the "break in the simulation" stuff, I've had many very strong cases of deja vu, and I know the logical explanation that your brain stores what you're currently experiencing in your memory before it does the active part of your brain. However I have also had a few times where I got deja vu and then remembered what happens in the next 30-60 seconds and then it happens. Has anyone else had an experience like this?
yes it is very odd
Happens to me too. Very strange and has happened my whole life.
always so happy to see you guys post a new video!!!
I don't like glitch in the matrix stories, there's no way to prove or disprove them, so people can make up anything they want
video starts at 1:07
all ads are cancer
that glitch in the matrix story sounds like he got the shit punched out of him so hard he experienced a different life
PERFECT TIMING ON THE UPLOAD~
I just want to know what that doppelganger thought hearing a child yell out to him at 3 am for a hug.
randomly found your channel and i be waiting for more uploads 💯
your videos are cool keep going!
They'll never catch that antihero Poopz
I hope its worth all your work, mang, it works well for my end since I love every videos and all you guys sh!t. It has good flavor
NEW DEBUNK FILE!!
Killer thumbnail
If the raycom ear buds never leave his pocket, how do he know what they sound like
What do "affordable" tunes sound like?
Congratulations on the sponsorship!!!
Only, Superman got to beat the shit out of the villain, l afterward.
shaiivalley actually found the origin of the picture a few days ago
Congrats on the sponsor Sep and JIF!!
Thank you!
that doppelganger story genuinely made me nauseous. the uncanny valley freaks me out so bad.
Your music sometimes overpowers your voice, and makes it a little busy when listening. But I love the content👌👌
I'm surprised you hadn't covered the lamp story yet!
It’s a modern classic I’m also baffled it took us this long but here it is now!
@@DebunkFile It definitely is!
And thank you for covering the story! C:
Red lamp was such a good story i wrote a whole song about it
The first story reminded me of that one Superman story called "For The Man Who Has Everything" where Superman gets transported into an alternate reality where his planet never blew up.
Phenomenal episode! The DC animated slate was undefeated from the 90s-2010s
@@DebunkFileYeah, the comic upon which its based expands on it a bunch
Yeah, the a parallel life, I'm pretty sure they took that from countless similar stories and shows
The first story (the infamous lamp story) is absolutely heartbreaking.
This is not my beautiful house! This is not my beautiful wife!
Have they tried to locate Mrs. Poop?
Yeah, used power goo back in the day. Was released around the same time as bryce 3D, and spent more time messing with that. Was an image manipulator where you could alter, stretch and change images you loaded. Functions that later became commonplace in most programs like gimp or photoshop.
Woah, never expected to hear If Meat Could See Itself in a video, good music taste
10:25
My first run in with that face was "schfifty five" way back in the day, a silly song.
12:23 Honestly, it makes sense
There's also an episode of Star Trek revolving around Picard with a very similar premise to the Reddit story
Memory unlocked. I used power goo in Middle School in a computer class!
One thing's for sure. I will never buy a Raycon product because I'm so sick of hearing about them that I associate them with annoying disruptions.
Happy birthday jif
Love this channel and keep up the awesome work
Who the f says “bore me a son.” In this day and age.
