Heddon is the old school bait company that many of the newer companies took ideas from. Heddon made and still makes some of the best hard bait topwaters that's ever existed. Don't over look the torpedo, Zara spook line, crazy crawler and others they have. Smithwick is another great old school company and the devils horse is a awesome old bait. I prefer the wooden ones though.

The Heddon propeller bait is my favorite. It catches fish. Love the attack. I change to sharper hooks and put a red hook in the front.
Hendon tiny torpedo bull frog color popped like a popper is great top water bait. Caught my pb off 9lbs 14oz off of it

The heddon torpedo is one of my favorite topwater lures my dad has personally caught some giants on then but the baby bass tiny torpedo it's light but it works

I actually prefer the Berkley Choppo, to the Whopper Plopper. The Choppo makes a louder plop, and I’ve caught lots of fish with mine.

Conner (his friends call him "FACE") is the MAN! Too funny. The parking lot take off was also epic. ...OMG. You guys are showing your age! Heddon Tiny Torpedos along with Arbogast Hula Poppers, Jitterbugs and Sputter Bugs (look that up on the internet!) were my first topwater baits. Caught my 1st 200 bass on those topwater baits back in 1989! ...Noah. The rat is NOT a joke! Before I watched the fishing portion, and not knowing the conditions or where you were fishing, I felt like each of you had a similar chance, but maybe Tara's choices might squeak out the win.... Let's see how this sorts out. ...Noah.. Great taking time out to say hi and take a picture with some subscribers! It's 3pm Sunday afternoon, about 1/2 way through the video, but, I gotta go fish. I'll watch the end later.

The small Whoppers do catch big fish! I caught my PB(16lbs) on a Whopper Plopper 75 in the perch pattern in GA last October.

Headed to Academy this weekend to get a new rig going, very excited to get back into fishing. My 4 year old and 8 year old daughters are interested in getting into it as well. Those Hedon prop style baits need a popping/walking action not a steady retrieve, the props make bubbles when jerked immitating a fish feeding at the surface

I'd say the tiny torpedo out fishes a spook. That being said I threw these mostly in my youth. But yeah I still will throw a torpedo. I've had nothing but luck on them.

Connor devils horse my favorite top water whenever bass are prespawn through spawn and post let the bait settle when it lands on the initial cast slot of sites come then after the ripples disappear small Twitch just enough to make the nose of the bait m ob and the props to turn its made to fish similar but slower then a popper it catches numbers and bugs try that with the same devils horse or similar and ill give you 100$ if you don't start busting bass n and I don't share that old school bait trick with anyone so Take this yo heartwith no disrespect please Don't just straight retreave a devil's horse that way again the slower the better
