I love how the space is so bright and cozy looking but still stylish at the same time!
I think you've done so much with the space, congrats on the move! I moved in with my boyfriend (now husband) several years ago and there were so many "brown couches" I had to deal with. Over the years he sort of settled into my style and now our apartment is way girlier than I ever imagined it could be, so definitely relax and rest assured that your styles will likely evolve together! You just have to discover over time what you both like. In the meantime, I think the brown couch could be worse - the pillows help and I think you could even add more pillows, perhaps some soft white or grey ones to match the other couch!
I just think lofts are so cool, also because they are so industrial looking but then you can add feminine things and I love how that can look.

A suggestion, when I decorated ours I used a feng shui book to help me through. Very interesting indeed. It contained lots of cool ideas. You might want to look into it. Cacti not a feng shui favorite cause of the spikes.

This is the first home tour that didn't make me motion sick! Thank you so much!!! I love watching them but usually my head is spinning at the end from everyone walking around and moving the camera!! lol

I love the red touches in the kitchen and the way it's open to the "living room". Great loft! Unfortunately we don't have much of them where I live. :)

It's those little details that make the difference. I really like the Anthropologie bowls in your kitchen area. They add color and make the place feel more warm and lived in, if that makes sense. I also love your dress in this video. Where is it from?

I don't think being into clean lines is masculine. I'm pretty femme and I don't like a bunch on unnecessary decoration everywhere. It's such a bad stereotype to perpetuate. I think it's better to say things that "I" like.
Exactly, I'm feminine yet I can't stand clutter, I'm all about minimal decor and open space.

The way you store your records is actually very harmful to them. They should always be stored vertically or they may warp. Your home is really beautiful and its cool to see a fellow canadian! (i'm in toronto)

Cute place -- you might want to store your vinyl upright, it's better for the vinyl!
That desk with your makeup brushes sitting on it...is that your vanity where you put on your makeup? Do you store your makeup items in the drawers? It is a fantastic idea, no doubt, but unfortunately it won't work for me, because I keep washing my hands a thousand times when I'm doing makeup or skin care routine!

Love the way you've feminized the space. One idea struck me: you could conceal your shoe shelves at the entrance by installing an industrial rod with a curtain with grommets and a modern fabric like a grey and white ikat. Would soften the space and give you privacy. It already looks great!

I was thinking of buying the Richards Trunk Desk (your vanity) from Restoration Hardware. Can you use it with a laptop and mouse and still be comfortable using it? Please replay and Great Video!
Yes although you will likely need a low chair because the desk is too low to fit a normal one :)
