That's a good idea, having a stopping buzzer on the back of the seat in front because I have travelled on some of the High-rise single decker coaches that the Stagecoach depot in Dumfries used to have for the X74 (Glasgow route) service and the drivers would be amongst the first to tell you that they didn't really have enough of these buzzers.
So, this is a good thing to see it shows that Stagecoach listen.
That is a beautiful bus! Coach seats too!
Funny how these seats are actually more comfortable than GWR's 1st class seats

Love the vids. Falkirk was in my back yard, so to speak, so it's really good to see the Alexander Dennis vehicles on the road across the UK. Just a small itch: Fallkirk is pronounced FALL-KIRK as opposed to Falmouth.😀

1500 rpm at top speed for a Scania E400 MMC makes these well suited to a megabucks trip if needed!
They have a few (5 actually) of these double deckers 67-reg up in Kilmarnock. During the Coronavirus lockdown in 2020, Dumfries depot had a loan of them for a couple of months, they were used on the X74 route between Dumfries and Glasgow in order to help people with social distancing.
The ones that Dumfries had a use of didn't have the yellow and gold livery though. They did have the intelligent stop and go feature which as well as being beneficial for the environment is also helpful for passengers who maybe are slightly hard of hearing.

I drive these both versions of these buses. The new one is slightly smoother and has LED headlights which I really like but the interior is indeed not as good and the N/S mirror sticking out 1.5 feet in front of the bus and generally being more sideways too makes it incredibly easy to clout the mirror on just about anything. Some of the tighter bus stop and narrow streets are far more troublesome. I have had to adjust these mirrors numerous times after accidentally nudging them against bus shelters. Far more drivers rip these wing mirrors off than they did with the previous generation. Overall I prefer the gold bus from a driver perspective and passenger perspective.

My depot got some of these but slightly older (same body but different interior), dennises instead of scanias, they drive smooth but they are sluggish and constantly broken. Dpf cloggs up really quickly and then straight into limp mode. I prefer the old scania deckers, they also drive smooth, have good brake pedal feel and have enough power to actually pull off in rush hour traffic, as opposed to these fancy E400s that limit power in first gear.
Did they not get the Cummins Powertrain once they realized that those were really unreliable?
Have you ever driven Streetlite? If yes, you know the meaning of sluggish!!.
Scania’s are known to be a bit condensated when cold start, resulting in condensation from the exhaust. Until warm.
Kinda surprised. It was always the older engines over here in the US that has trouble starting up in the cold
scanias are easily the best manufacture for buses and truccs
Well, my local operator hates them after seeing the unreliability of the Citywide LE Hybrid buses. They rather buying Volvo, Iveco, MAN and BYD buses. (Arriva exists in Spain).
it's OK if it weren't for the fact the gearbox continually tries to upshot whilst going uphill only then to downshift again, typical stagecoach in the way its configured.
Stagecoach doesn’t make the gearbox.

@@gxxttxxr2442 I dont mean typical scania no, Both the engines Acceloration Rate management & Gearbox shift mode can be greatly altered if an operator wants this done.
Lothian Buses of Edinburgh bought 50 ex-london deckers and had them reconfigured to improve there responsiveness & drivability.
Scania/ZF chassis buses can have the same some..
It’s because Slavecoach bosses like to put these in eco setting 5 which makes the gearbox and bus slow af

That interior bus stopping light in the cab is a huge distraction Ona night time so much glare

The drivers cab is possibly illegal the way it is positioned wrong
Also they had so many electrical problems and they drive so bad in eco mode that they get bunged up and have to be reset every few weeks
Still way better than a Cummins
European countryies shld not keep buss
