I believe this particular example is part of a pair of Scania Fencers that were delivered to Ambassador Travel in Great Yarmouth registered as YT23 BDF
This new bus looks nice but: they should've used an interior IPS (or TFT) LCD display instead of a red LED one For the UK market they should've added a "Bus Stopping" sign since I'd doubt that most passengers would understand why the stop bell is flashing red The LED accent lighting should've been white instead of blue And the driver's cab controls should've all been moved to one side of the bank of switches so that there aren't so many visible blank switches. And that is a strange place to put the Hanover Display controller and it would've been nice if this was fitted with an AM/FM/DAB radio although it looks like there is space for one but only for a single-slot in-car radio which means there is no space for a 2 or 3 slot radio with infotainment screen which could be useful for viewing a map during driver route training or notifing drivers of a change in route mid-service in case of roadworks or a road accident or other mandatory deviation from the bus route...
To be fair I’m sure the operator could spec such on the bus, I did too think the positioning of the Hannover destination was a little odd but this bus is a demonstrator hence both normal and camera mirrors in the vicinity of the driver
Personally think Scania should have introduced a RHD version of the Citywide LF/LE in the UK rather than releasing this product which while high quality, still feels inferior to the new Citywide.
its stupid things about scanias which annoy me, so brilliant they add all that extra hatches for the off side yet move the altinators to the near side compared to the older dc9 engine, which now means they will be harder to repair. also move the bloody rad pack to the off side aswell as all that will do is suck all the shit out of the side of the roads and into the radiators, we suffer with this constantly on the k230 chassis already... like ffs scania are you designed by mongs or something
This was the case with the ALX 400 with London United (Hounslow) the cummins engined tridents. Hoover for the road. I haven’t heard Rad’s since working at Arriva, briefly
Imagine Nottingham City Transport getting this
I doubt they’ll buy diesel unless the reverse happens and buy CNG

Would be nice to see Blackpool transport invest in these or the citywide range

17:26 how are you meant to fit your local depot's watering can full of screenwash in that tiny gap!?
agreed, like what i said above another part scania just didnt seem to think about
Glue a bit of flexible hose on the end and solve the problem like a true Englishman
Does this bus have a Voith Gearbox inside because I can hear it the inside of the bus-engine bay so can you hear it inside the bus?

It's a ZF Ecolife.

Looks cracking
Why?
camera mirrors seam laggy lol
They sound nice enough but the english roads have already smashed it to bits and it's rattling and squeaking like a ten year old dart already

There's manufacturing or emissions reasons. They don't make design choices for no reason.
Awful ride quality, rattle rattle
