Years ago I watched Australian tourists play against Oxford University at 'The Parks' ground, my overiding memory is Merv chasing and trying to catch a dog on the outfield........the crowd was cheering every time he nearly caught it. Hilarious!

So glad as a Pommie Sri Lankan (yeah we all got our crosses to bear 😂) I got to watch Merv play both live as well as on tv as a kid back in the day…..sadly we don’t have guys (characters…legends?) like him, Richards, Botham etc etc in the game any more. Thanks for such awesome memories Merv 🙏🙏😎
