Garp didn't intervene with Ace's execution because ultimately he respected the way Ace chose to live his life, which also meant honoring the consequences of those choices. If he chose to save Ace, he'd not only be going against the principles he believed in, but he'd also be undermining Ace's autonomy.

Yep. It's the same reason Luffy never begged Garp to help him save Ace. The closest he got was telling him to move out of the way.
For both Luffy and Ace, the day they chose to become pirates they accepted they'd be on the opposite side of their grandfather.
It doesn't mean there isn't still love there but they respect his position as someone on the opposite side of themselves.

I feel like Garp doesn't get enough credit for his neutrality there. Everyone and their mother pointed out that he could do this kind of attack on Akainu, but at the same time he also could have killed Marco and Luffy for trying to get to the scaffold instead of just brushing Marco away and blatantly letting Luffy reach the top.

After ace died did you notice grap reaction, he literally got beyond beyond angry and started walking towards ainku with the intention to kill him. Sengoku literally noticed and had to hold down grap to stop him from killing/attacking him with intention to seriously damage him.

We did know, because it has been confirmed Garp has conq haki and he utilizes it when he's serious. This is confirmed on a few occasions but the definitive place is Dressrosa where he had a Conq haki clash with Don Chinjao who also has conq haki. The databooks, rivalry with Roger, and being a power that could fight the Rocks pirates all pretty much support the point he had conq haki for a while.
@@Korksbebig In fact we actually dont have any confirmation that he has Conq haki, this could very well be advanced armament haki, kinda substantiated by the fact coby used a similar attack on a smaller scale and I don't think anyone thinks coby has conq, at least not yet
They nicely time in with the Joyboy' Stored Conquerors Haki with the Galaxy Impact of Garp, this is definitely foreshadowing Dragon's Conquerors will be in Par with Joyboy or similar in power

I think this is the end of Garp unfortunately! This is very similar to what happened to Whitebeard Edward. All the enemies gathered to get him down. Teach, Aokiji and others against Garp and I don't think the team with Garp can face Teach's members only if another strong character intervenes like Dragon, Shanks, Sengoku or Rayleigh !
Garp!!!!! Galaxy Impact was insane! I love this new era of marines we have Sword is so cool. Im still with the Hibari is Akainus daugther idea, theres evidence thereand it would be hilarious. I could be over analyzing but Kuzan could have froze Koby instead of Hibari so why freeze her? I could understand why he would do that. The dialect she and Akainu uses is the only two characters who use it in the series. Although I think Akainu might not earn sympathy points for but it would make his character more complex like he might have had a different idea of justice after he meet someone who he might have fallen in love with and they were taken out by the hands of pirates and he had to be a single father. Akainu is great as a villian you just love to hate but I think someone else who is introduced in this arc who I think you can guess (he stupid hair lol) has overtaken that spot as a villian I just like to hate. its a play off of a Cumulonimbus cloud. He most likely just named it after a cloud which is why its used as a cushion to soften the landing of the ship. The sound is just representing how weird clay sounds when its squished together.

I'd like to think it was because he was tired and hungry. If he was at full strength he probably could have escaped easily
some ppl actually hated how theres too much animation and the lack of haki but i mean technically it shown more haki than the manga chapter itself the thunders of lightning and his aura walk is already so full of haki how much u need ;-; the entire screen? ppl hated the goofy repeating attacks in the animation before and when they are presented with top notch animation they also hate it i really dont understand at all ;-; just needed to get it off my chest..

Thick red black lightning, no contact attack and red eyes like how Roger did with Divine Departure. And Yeah remember Garp is 78 years old. Haki strength is weakend but still look Garp is not satisfied due to old age. Imagine Prime Garp doing the same attack. Man.
Tbh it felt missing. As a manga reader it is supposed to be a gigantic Shockwave with black lightning but here it shows explosions and black lightning. But I'm not gonna complain. It's still GREAT!
