Great videos! I am starting my work with tricot machines (was working with rachel for last 8 years). I have a question - what are excatly advatages when, let say, increase of knockover gauge on 19d/cm thick on 3 guide bars, 28E? Is it increase of performance of the machine (less faults?) or it's an esthetic change and fabric is going to look better more uniform?

If there are no problems with knitting, there is no need to modify the knockover gauge.
When knitting thick yarn or fabrics with many courses, if normal knitting is impossible due to machine overload or broken needles, smooth knitting can be achieved by increasing the knockover gauge.
If the knockover gauge is too low, loop formation does not occur properly.
