  • Pinned: Please post your issues in the discussion, I would like to map out all the issues and see if Samsung fixes them in some with a firmware update or Health app.
    An example of a few problems that sometimes occur with Galaxy Fit3. In this case, there are problems with the synchronization of steps that are not synchronized at all or are synchronized incorrectly, which can cause an incorrect sum of steps at the end of the day. However, some other users also report problems with synchronization of activities.

    From what I've gathered so far (last update 25. 7. 2024):
    --- *Update to firmware version R390XXU0AXG2 is now available* ----
    -Sometimes the watch shows a completely meaningless number of steps (higher than the reality), the synchronization with the phone works, the number is correct on the phone, but on the watches it remains wrong even after a restart, after some time the number of steps returns to normal- (solved by XG2)
    -Synchronization sometimes stops and manual request does not synchronize data.- (solved by XE1 fimware update)
    -Sync uploads (incorrect) step count from phone instead of to phone.- (solved by XE1 fimware update)
    - Sometimes exercises or activities are not transferred to Health app. WORKAROUND: Remove GPS rights for Galaxy Fit3 plugin. Missing activity sometimes appears in the phone after phone restart.
    -Sometimes GF3 stops selectively synchronizing HR data.- (solved by XE1 fimware update)
    -The watch randomly announces a record in steps or floors even though it has not been exceeded.- (solved by XE1 fimware update)
    -The user receives daily notifications (targets, sleep etc.) from Health app even though the option is disabled on the phone.- SOLUTION: You need to disable these notifications on your watch.
    - Some notifications are duplicated, missing vibration or the vibration setting does not match the notification (unconfirmed).
    -The confirmation when moving after the inactivity notification comes twice- This is probably a feature, not a bug
    -Sometimes, for some unknown reason, the number of floors climbed does not match the data on the phone (the watch shows more floors, the data on the phone is correct)- (solved by XG2)
    - Notifications can't even display simple emoticons!
    -Sometimes it happens that the alarm doesn't ring for unknown reasons, maybe it's related to the fact that I noticed that the automatic activity was not terminated properly- (solved by XG2)
    - The sleep blood oxygen reading on the wristband shows the memory address instead of the number/text
    - AOD turns off because the watch incorrectly evaluates whether it is on the wrist

      Hi is the step synchronization issue totally resolved now? I'm planning to get a Fit3 but I don't want it if it only resolves for 1-2 days after update

    Such a shame, it's a pretty good band but this kind of problems are frustrating. The excercises doesn't appear on the app, the measurements of time keep getting crazy numbers and it just keeps deleting the steps... I just want to throw away the band at this point

    Same issues with my Fit3 band. It is quite frustrating. I have spent hours trying to solve it and nothing. Everything sync with my phone, but the steps. I generally leave my phone home and then when I arrive with a large number of steps and it connects to the phone, all steps are wiped out!!! I am participating in a challenge and I have now lost all the date for two days. The band is brand new, I have using it only 7 days and it only worked well for 3 days, then my steps, calories, etc are either zero or extremely low. I will try today to uninstall and re-install the app and see what happens.

    Facing the same issue, it's really terrible. Even after clearing the cache, I am having same issue. Everything will be fine for a day or two but post that it will start again. Happened to me this morning too!

    Same issue. Super frustrating to see that the moment you pick up your phone, all the steps count reduce to what Health app has captured. Fit3 steps don't synchronize.

    Got my wife this watch as a gift and she lost 2000 steps due to synchronization issues. This is frustrating. I hope Samsung updates it ASAP!

    Galaxy Wearable got a new update (2.2.58.24021661, plugin 2.2.14.240403051), let's see if the reverse sync issue is resolved. Please let me know in the comments.

      Issue is still not solved for me. The watch keeps synchronising backwards from the phone to the watch and loosing the steps counted on the watch in doing so.

      Not yet, step sync still stopping randomly for me and no way of resuming, haven't seen the reverse sync happening though

    I faced the same issue. Also had problems with stress levels not syncing properly to my phone, as described in one of the comments in a reddit post you mentioned below. I've set it to measure continuously but stopped showing new data in my phone for as long as five days (i.e. the stress level only showed data up to five days prior, leaving 5 days worth of recent data blank). However, I can see them in my Fit3. I sent an error report via Samsung Members regarding this a few days ago. The representative responded, but it seems like this issue has yet to be addressed by the department in charge.
    Edit: Sorry, I deleted my previous comment bc I thought I misinterpreted something.😅 I now added some details regarding the stress level syncing issue.

    My Fit3 do not sync auto detected exercises, like walking. It shows in Galaxy Fit3 but do not show in Health app :(

      Try to disable location services for Galaxy Fit3 plugin, this should be temporary workaround.

    What is happening with my steps is that it will show say 3,000 steps and then a couple of hours later it might only show 200 ???? I turned off the sync to phone feature because I was also having the same issues as you.

    Guys, I've tried everything - from the statement from the Czech branch of Samsung, it seems that they know about the problem, but they have no idea if it's being solved or when the patch will be ready. I would like to ask you to try to address the problem at your place as well, or even try a complaint, so that we know if the repair/replacement somehow helps to solve the problem. Thanks.

      @@karafilm_mehmet the problem occurs in longer time intervals, now I'm testing if it appears after the last Galaxy Wearable update, anyway, I wish you that your problem is solved

    Having the same sync issue with my Fit3 and a55 phone. The steps are downloaded from the phone to the band, not vice versa. Have tried resetting both phone and Fit3, but not helping.

      I have addressed the issue with Samsung support here in Czechia. The support answered my questions about this bug evasively, so I guess they don't have any information directly from the developers at Samsung.

      @@plukasUA-camBut it just did…😂 Sigh, it appears that the watch would stop tracking once I open the Samsung health app and let it sync…😢
      A temp fix is to pause the sync but we all know it is not ideal.

    I currently have the same issue with the biking workout. I went for a bike ride and my fit 3 recorded it but it wont show in samsung health. My bike workouts only showed when I disabled location in Galaxy fit3 plugin settings. So I can still see the calories I burnt in samsung health from bike rides but I cannot see the miles I road because the location is disabled in order to sync to samsung health which sucks. I believe there is a software but with workouts on the fit 3 that use the gps

      @oddieyuranda4988 Nah. The only workaround is to just start the workout that involves GPS on your phone instead of the watch. It will still use the watch to monitor your heart rate and be recorded on the Heath app when the workout is finished

    Same here, already try two samsung A53 & A55, didnt sync when doing workout using GPS ohone

    Guys, if you get any feedback from Samsung, please let me know in the comments. Here in the Czech Republic they probably don't know about the problem at all.

      I have been on 3 support calls with Samsung, they tell me it is because I am trying to use the International Version in the US, but clearly the problem is happening in other countries.

      @@ericqhochuli6004 Yes, my watch is from the official distribution of the largest electronics retailer in our country. I don't understand at all why Samsung doesn't acknowledge the problem on any channel/inform about its solution. The watch itself is not bad, but I consider this bug critical and according to the forums I've read the problem seems to be worldwide.

      Definitely worldwide, I bought mine from my official country store, today I lost a ton of steps not only for today but from yesterday too, and now it stopped synchronizing any new steps

    Before update, my step count backward when connect to phone. after update it fix
    BUT
    Still bug about GPS workout still here, I cant sync my outdoor walking, cycling. even after update, even after i reset my fit for third time, and uninstall health apps, wearable apps, and fit 3 plugin third time

    The app counts the data of phone. And on sync, it paste phone calculated data to the band. That's why the reduction in steps count. If we pause step counts. It syncs all other data except steps. Best solution to uninstall the app and save your efforts

      you can pause the step count on the phone, in which case the phone's contribution will always be 0. It can also be verified on the phone by how many steps the phone counts separately (this number never matches). It is clearly a bug. By uninstalling the application, the user loses a significant part of the functionality - recording reports, comparing, etc. This will not be a solution for most users.

      @@plukasUA-cam I did pause it on my phone app. It now shows 0 steps as I just downloaded the app. However I've done a few steps and recorded on my band. That doesn't sync up with the phone app. It did sync up my calorie and active time data. Even trademill activity. But steps show 0

    Some good news, I did record my workout and steps the whole day. I installed the app and tried syncing. It did sync the data from the band to the app this time. All my workout was reflected in the app

    Guys, I managed to discover another problem-sometimes GF3 stops selectively synchronizing HR data. In this case, restarting the watch and the Health app helped me.     Hi guys, I haven't noticed any sync errors in the last two days. Although I haven't received any update. I will still let you know if one of the described errors appears again. The last procedure I tried was this:
    Go to Settings → Apps → Samsung Health → tap Force stop → Storage → Clear Cache
    Go to Settings → Apps → Galaxy Wearable → Storage → Clear cache
    Go to Settings → Apps → Samsung Accessory Service → Storage → Clear cache

      Thank you for your effort and for sharing the info, but the issue still persists for me. And it has driven me crazy. As we speak my Fit 3 shows 4400 steps and S Health shows 1200. I understand S Health only shows what is counted from my mobile even though I have selected to show info from the band also.

    My step sync kept stopping everyday at my 6pm until i force close samsung health app, band still kept counting though, with yesterday new firmware so far so good 🤞🤞

      if you can, return the watch to the seller. Here in the Czech Republic, watches have a complaint rate of 0.73%, but as soon as customers notice a problem, it will probably go up.

    Another issue: one notification on the phone is duplicated multiple times on the watch, and each dup has a bit different timestamp (plus minute or so).

    Issue still remains even after updating the new firmware. The watch keeps syncing the steps backwards from the phone to the watch. I did observe the loss of steps several times throughout the day. I am really disappointed and would not buy this watch ever again.
    EDIT: For some reason the wearable app repeated the firmware installation and as for now it finally works as it should.

    Hey, I have a solution for that after going through the app, I finally disabled the 'Physical Activity' app permission, which disables steps counted by the phone, and when I connected my fit3 to the phone, it only showed the steps from the tracker itself. Maybe that's the solution for now.

      when you do this, samsung health app says step count is paused. how do you get it to only show steps from the tracker?

      @@eellad it says paused because the phone doesn't count steps when you disable the permission but it shows you the actual steps counted by the tracker itself.

      it looks like some issues have been resolved. I don't have feedback on all of them yet, but at least the worst error with counting steps is probably solved.

      my problem is,if the fit 3 connect to my galaxy s23,and i start exercise like cycling in my fit 3,then the data will not shown up in my galaxy health,i tap "show on phone" but that data not showing up.

    It looks like samsung is releasing the R390XXU0AXE1 firmware update for GF3 (for Korea only for now), hopefully the issues will be resolved.       And what on earth all my workout not shown on my phone or on fit 3.
      For notification device, its good
      For health tracking, this really really bad. Even chapest mi band can do this without error
