One day I am going to be able to play the piano like Valentina Lasitsa I saw her on UA-cam when she was starting out it was a very beautiful experience.
For those of us who have been following her since the day she unleashed all of her Chopin etudes onto youtube, it's been a romantic whorl-wind love affair ever since... and it's NOT just her fast playing... it's her energy, sensitivity and dramatically electrifying interpretations that caught our attention so fast and furiously... and her personality, like the GREAT artists of old is just as magnetic... what a unexpected welcome to the slowly dying great world of serious music...

What is it about Ukraine that produces so many great piano and string players? Horowitz , Gillels, Milstein, Oistrakh, Cherkassky, even Prokofiev, now Lisitsa. Something in the water???
