Can I suggest that next time, or for anyone following this built, that a section of square tube steel is used across the width of the built (as where the wheels are screwed and glued into, to give it rigidity. I noticed significant sag when you were testing it, and you look like a pretty slim guy, which suggests its not the strongest of designs, and 18 or square tube steel shouldn't add much to the cost.
Also, that's a terrible design. The rubber wheels on the motors should be spinning against the INSIDE of the bike wheels, if that's the way you're going at this.
f the little rubber wheels. thatd be good for a longboard or something where the motor kicks in at higher speeds. you gotta rock some belts/chains on those babies. the bike wheels are perfect size for somethin like this though. medigs it. also, looks like you can pump twice the volts into each motor if you get 1 or 2 cheap boost converters off ebay (im sure theres a ghetto circuit way to boost also) but youll be flying on that beast for a solid 20+ minutes. few more mods and your hoverboard will light on fire just as good as the real thing lol.

Josh the concept of your design is fairly good, but the materials and the fabrication method was not the best you can do. First the wood is too flexible/week that it bends with load, try harder material. Plus. try to use more precise manufacturing tools and techniques. Good luck.

Why do you call this clumsy thing a 'hoverboard' at all? It's not even a Sedgeway, it has a triwheel arrangement if you include the back caster.
