In this video, I demonstrate how to alter the tone of a person's skin in a way that mimics a slight tan. Perfectly explained tutorial for something I have been asked to do also. :-) Your way is much better and simpler than what I've been doing. Thanks Anthony!
I struggle with skin. During the day, when people will have too much shadow in direct sun, I have tried to photograph peiple in "shade," but where the entire sky is lighting them like a large softbox. But when I do this the skin tone moves toward magenta and away from the golden glow during the morning and evening. I will try this. I have tried in the past to use that letterbox looking rectangle in the adjustment brush command to move the tone of the brush and sometimes that helps.
Thank you! this is very helpful, because when I make a self portrait sometimes, my skin tone seems darker or more orange than I am! so I can use this method to do exactly the opposite! Quick question for you, maybe! not sure if you see this comment or not! but could you maybe make a tutorial about how to make presets, and/or how to apply them, because for some reason, the presets I get with lightroom classic, always seems bad when I try them out, like portraits and landscape, or floral or birds that I shoot, and I don't know exactly how I can make my own, or how to technically use them on a photo, and if there's some basic presets that I could make and work my way up from there with my workflow!
I asked you about making a book without using blurb a couple of months ago. You said you were going to look into doing a video on it. Have you given it any more consideration on doing one or not?
The original, besides having "perfect" skin (whether from makeup or software) has a slight blue cast. Look at the sclera of the eyes. Your final version is preferable for color, but might be reduced a bit in the yellows. Also, retaining the blue sclera looks odd.
I feel insulted, that this video took over 6minutes 😅 Use Person Tab to select her skin, adjust if needed. In the curves take down blue highlites. Turn up holding alt the red gamma slightly... But... Thank you none the less :)
Is there mich difference using the tone curves instead of after masking the persons skin just use the upper sliders for warmth and green-magenta to adjust the colour? Saturation can be added as well there. Just never understood how the experts in retouching getting these wonderful skin look like the ones with over 50 k followers in their portraits on insta…

She’s absolutely gorgeous 😲
This goddess doesn't need any improvement. As a photographer you can legit look at beautiful women all day.
It's ai generated image bruh
Thank you so much! This simple change makes my photos so much easier to edit and even more beautiful

This is really helpful. I shoot weddings and I've been using the brush for so long. This saves so much time and looks much better. THANK YOU!!!
Great video as usual! Also, really great detective work on identifying the graphics card issue.
Thank you, another great short tutorial
Very, very helpful. Great for subjects that don't get into the sun much. I feel a little dumb that I did not try this before. Thank you Anthony!
Very helpful, thank you!
Excellent information - so glad I found your channel👍

Curious what camera you're shooting on?
@@quizzicalsteveI've experienced what I described with multiple cameras. And with both older and newer sensors.
Is it better to use the graph as opposed to the color sliders? Any thoughts out there?
Amazing trick!

Portraiture is hard. This is a great tip. Thanks so much.
Good Stuff Anthony, thank you !!

Very cool..! (good tip)
Simple. Short. Sweet. Lovely lesson. Use of ALT key to micro changes: Thank you !!
Wow.
Nice.
That was easy

Doesn't seem any easy way to remove patchy tanned areas. I wish there was an AI feature that recognized this and evened the tones out.

What is the weird arm with a six fingered hand behind her?
A touch of negative dehaze will give a "glow".
Look at the palm-tree behind her; this is AI, not a person.
Either the picture you used was AI generated, or the person holding the palm leaf has 6 fingers.
Sorry this looks totally overbrushed to the point of looking like AI….
Its a stock image edited by someone else. The tutorial was skin colour....
