For as long as I have been getting this style, only 1 person did it this way and it looked awesome!

After 30 years in the industry, this is my all time favorite cut. It's perfect for all hair types and it's such a classic it never goes out of style. Thanks for such a great tutorial.

Hi Laura, I agree with you but I am not sure we can apply this manner for the type of #60% curly and dried cut?
Can anyone help me out? Appreciate from Seattle WA.

@@012345678914422 I guess it would depend on if your client wears their hair straightened, I would most definitely have a very thorough client consultation, and I would probably do this cut on dry, straightened hair on any type of curly hair for the most precise results, the length, angles, graduation and layers would depend on the type of curl, thickness of hair, hair type and condition as well as how much time the client wants to put in to styling. Just my two little cents. ♥

I love how you used the colors arrows to show your movements. That’s so perfect. Sometimes depending on the position of the camera, we can’t tell which way you guys are going with the hair..👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Graphics nail it for me, especially since hair cutting is such a visual thing. The graphics illustrate angles & shapes better than words . Thanks a million for helping to build my confidence. Panic is exactly what I feel when I reach that area behind the ears for this cut ! Excellent teacher & tutes 🏆👍🎯

Is there a downside to cutting the perimeter shape first and then adding the graduation? I ask because I cut my own fine hair and need a strong weight line. I also cut from a side part, so need to adjust the balance between the sides. This whole video is SO helpful! Thank you- you are the best stylist I have found on UA-cam.

Silly question from a newb barbering student: When you use a traveling guide, are you orbiting around the head along with the guide so that you're always standing behind it? Oh, and could you use a trimmer on the back hairline instead of shears?

Matt can you please change the direction of the camera to face the back of the mannequin head? I’d like to see the back when your cutting because it makes it difficult to see your sectioning when your doing hair cuts. Great cut though, but pleaseeee change the angel of the camera.
