    Hey pilots! Tricker here and I want to welcome you to my channel on combat aviation. I’m a real world pilot in the Airbus 319/320/321 series and I enjoy DCS World, Falcon BMS, Falcon 4.0, IL-2 Sturmovik, X-plane 11, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
    If you want to fly WWII aircraft over Normandy and the English Channel, then DCS World WWII is for you and they have plenty of aircraft to choose from such as the BF-109, FW-190, Spitfire, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51 Mustang. If you enjoy modern aerial combat then you want to focus more on DCS World products such as the F-16, A-10C Warthog, AH-64D Apache, F-15, F-14, JF-17, SU-27, Mirage, Mig-29, F-18 Hornet, Mi-8, Mi-24 Hind, Uh-1 Huey, Ka-50, F-5, Mig-21, AV-8b Harrier, and the F-4 Phantom. Some of the mods that are out there for DCS World are the F-22 Raptor, SU-57, A-4 Skyhawk, Rafale, and Gripen.
    I enjoy other games such as Total War, Battlefield, War Thunder, Escape from Tarkov, as well as Squad.

    As you demonstrated with the last maverick, if the HUD is SOI, China Foreword Short selects the MAV display on a DDI and selects the MAV as SOI. Which is a very useful shortcut. The steerpoint rocker is perhaps quicker, but it's still not that bad at all to use only the HOTAS.
    1: Coolie Forward short to make HUD as SOI
    2: DMS Fore/Aft to select steerpoint
    3: China Fore Short to select MAV as SOI
    4: China Fore Long to Slew all to SPI
    5: China Hat Fore Short to zoom in
    6: TMS Fore Short to lock target
    7: Weapon Release
    Repeat as nessecary
    It's a lot to write out, but it flows fairly quickly in the jet, without ever moving your hands off the HOTAS! Using the rocker switch replaces steps 1-3, which may or may not be faster depending on how quick it is to use your mouse in your set-up.

    Interestingly, the only issue I run into with rippling mavericks like this is the explosion from the first destroying the mavericks behind it in the air with the blast.
    I recommend only targeting units on opposite sides of a formation if engaging many targets at the same time.

      You could technically get a couple off but you need speed in order to create separation between the shots. Hard to do in the a10

    This is a LOT easier than what I’ve been doing. Slewing the TGP on target, tms up long, Mavericks SOI, tms up short, rifle, TGP SOI and slew on target, tms up long, Mavericks SOI, tms up short, rifle. Repeat literally until all six Mavericks are launched lol
    Although I have gotten so quick at it that it takes only slightly longer than this method with mark points.

    • @RedFail1-1
      @RedFail1-1 9 місяців тому

      Although I have noticed that after the first TMS up long in the TGP the Mavericks will automatically slew to where it is after you move it again and go back to Mavericks and press China hat long. That does save a little bit of time.

    How would you do this without a TGP?

    • @ashlittle4545
      @ashlittle4545 Рік тому

      You could use the helmet mounted display.
      1.Right console panel to Mark
      2.Aft to sensor select to HMD select
      3.Hover reticle on target, TMS right short to create mark point
      4.Repeat for all targets with TMS right short.
      Now with mark point created complete as video above using China hat forward long and steer point select to work through targets engaging each one in mark point order.
      Good luck. Salute 🫡

    Talk about disappointment....
    I thought it would be an actual ripple release like on the F-16. Not just "well select target, fire, next target and repeat until out of missiles"....

    • @TrickerDCS
      @TrickerDCS  Рік тому

      That would be nice but unfortunately you can’t do awesome F16 maverick ripples in the A10

      @terryboyer1342 Рік тому

      @@TrickerDCS I don't remember which channel it was but about a year ago I saw them do exactly that with the A-10. It was much easier and quicker than what you just did. It was six Mavs launched in about six seconds.

    • @TrickerDCS
      @TrickerDCS  Рік тому

      @@terryboyer1342 you don’t have to create markpoints, you can just slew to your spi and easily ripple 6 off right away if you want to that way. Be interesting to see how this other person did it

    • @ArmChairPilot.
      @ArmChairPilot. Рік тому

      @@terryboyer1342 AFAIK this is the only way to ripple them, it can be done faster but it doesn't help to do it as fast as possible in a training video but it's done with the same method. Make mark points, cycle through mark points, lock and fire mav, cycle to next mark point and repeat. I can get all 6 off the rails really fast once I have the mark points set up so that may be what you seen before. The only weapons the A10 can really ripple fire with 1 button press are rockets and dumb bombs.

    • @terryboyer1342
      @terryboyer1342 Рік тому

      @@TrickerDCS I so wish I could remember who did it. It was six separate targets and and it was just bam bam bam. One after the other. I was surprised your method was so slow and required so much switchology. I do remember he used markpoints though. It seemed as soon as he fired he toggled the next markpoint and the mav slewed, locked and was ready to fire. Just toggle and pickle. At least my memory remembers it that way. 🤔
