I've born in Klaten, the region near Yogya and I studied at Gadjah Mada University graduated in 1997. In 1998 I left Java to Batam, Riau Island the north-west part of Indonesia. Border to Singapore and Malaysia. I came here for works and raising a family with 3 childrens. Now, thanks to social media, seems that people all around the world came to Indonesia, specially to Java and Bali. I really miss my homeland. I wish I could retire soon and go back to Java. 10/10! The video is amazingg. I really loved it, especially the part showing Yogyakarta (since I live here). I think u guys were super lucky to meet Om Heri, and he took u around the village. And then you tried Olive Fried Chicken which is so tasty and cheap. If you’re planning to visit Yogyakarta again, I can recommend some other cool places! Like Plunyon Kalikuning, Ullen Sentalu, Goa Maria Tritis, Bukit Pengilon, and more. Maybe, if you’re up for it, I could even take you to check out one of the all-boys high schools in Jogja where the students usually have long hair. Or, if you visit between June and August, you can enjoy Artjog and some other art exhibitions. Hahaha...
