- Jimmy Buffett's wife, Jane, has released an emotional and heartbreaking message to Jimmy Buffet's fans. Jimmy Buffett lost his life on September 1st, 2023. Jimmy Buffett will forever remain in our hearts and will be deeply missed.
Jimmy Buffett posthumous album "Equal Strains on All Parts" will be released November 3rd, 2023. The album will feature Jimmy Buffet's new song "Bubbles Up."

I will always feel a kinship with Jimmy. I grew up in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, N.S. where at the time one of our Dentist's was a Dr. Buffet, many years later I realized his connection to The area through information about his relatives, and learned more about the story through his books which I thoroughly enjoyed. His music is near and dear to my heart, and My son, also is a big Jimmy fan like myself. He will be missed by so many, but will not be forgotten by his fans. R.I.P. Jimmy.

I am so sorry for your loss. I loved you both. I got to meet him in Charleston SC where he always started his upcoming tour. What a nice guy, wish I would have asked for his autograph but I didn't want to bother him by it. I knew he had a lot on his mind always. So I put myself in his place and decided not to ask him. Jimmy's passing touched me I never saw him live but I lived the Beach Bum Life in Santa Monica for a year so I completely understand his music more now than ever before He was Love and his music is my escape to paradise

When Jimmy was first making it and had bought is Lake Amphibian and was getting it fixed at Peninsula Avionics, Tamiami airport, we bumped shoulders. I too wish I had got to know him better and shared some of life's outdoor fun and recreations that he so loved. Heaven is a great place, where God has arranged for all of us to have the opportunity to be together, with the Lord and our families friends. I pray that when I get there, now "72", Jimmy and I can play heavenly guitars together and sing about "Mother Ocean"... AND AMAZING GRACE - May God bless Jimmy's family in all ways, Gary.

Jimmy provided a very important part of the Soundtrack of My and countless others lifetimes. Now many, many folks contribute to that soundtrack but none gave us the consistent uplifting joy and feeling of well being like Jimmy. I was so sad to learn of his passing. I was once an absolute parrot head and I saw a bunch of his concerts in my lifetime. Jimmy's music was a big part of my life through the years. My dad listened when I was little, and, I've always loved the music. My wife and I got our kids hooked on it as well. Jimmy will be eternally missed by people everywhere.
His ballads and happy songs made me happier in sad times for me. Going to my first concert in the late 70's. Many more to come until my last one in 2021 or so at Jiffy Lube Live . Just found "Bubbles up"! Love it! Jimmy wrote the backing track to my life. "Little miss magic" was played at my daughters' wedding for our father /daughter dance. He will be sorely missed (by many). COOLEST GUY TO HAVE EVER LIVED! Thanks to Jane for sharing that! "Fins up" my friends.
Jimmy's music has been a major part of my life. My brother introduced me to Jimmy by coming down to my college for one of his concert. His music help me get through engineering school by drowning out my neighbor's noise. I could always drift away in his up beat songs. Our song (my wife and me) is Come Monday. We will be married 41 years tomorrow. Thanks for the memories, the songs, Caribbean fantasies, and the positive inspirations!! You are loved, and will be missed.

My heartfelt condolences to Jimmy's family and The Coral Reefer Band. There is a gaping hole, due to his loss, that can never be filled. The world was a much better place with Jimmy in it. Jane, thank you so much for your loving message to us, his millions of anonymous but adoring fans. I’m from New Orleans and have been a fan since he started playing there. I saw him bring a young Savanah out on the stage at one of the many concerts I attended. . I heard him speak of you on a Johnny Carson program where he told Johnny that you and he were getting back together and that you all had decided to find paradise together. I wrote to him and said I thought that would be a terrific song. He didn’ respond, but he surely showed the world that you and he and your three children did find paradise. Delaney ‘s ‘Songs you don’t know by heart” has been so heartwarming. To be able to hear him perform and talk but not be “on stage” must have been how it was to be with him at a dinner party. My heart goes out to the entire Buffett family. Thank you for sharing this one of a kind sweet, funny, joyful, and delightful man with the world! May the loving memories of a life well lived give you all peace.

To us in the public, Jimmy went out suddenly, just like my parents. It takes longer to grasp the reality and the bewilderment. I so wish Jimmy would pop up and say just kidding! I keep hearing I'm growing older, but not up, my metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck *_I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead_* .... so very prophetic and such great wisdom in that message. what an elloquent and gracous thank you from Jane. While I enjoyed Jimmy's music over my years, it was only this year that I really connected with Jimmy's music and became a ParrotHead. I am saddened that I'll never get a chance to see him live. Yet I am humbled by all of the UA-cam content that brings him and the band into my life. I hope that we'll see a Kenny Chesney/Alan Jackson tour with the Coral Reefer's to commemorate Jimmy's life/accomplishments.
