I remember back when I was a kid growing up during the 70's in Milwaukee. My parents would take me to Milwaukee Brewers games 20-50 times a year. Back when a family could afford it. Sorry, anyways after the games kids would hang out out by the players parking lot. As the Brewers players would come out most would stop and sign autographs. I was SO SO SO LUCKY! I was able to meet players like Robin Yount, Paul Molitor, Gorman Thomas, Ben Oglive, Jim Gantner, Charlie Moore, Lary Sorenson, Moose Haas, Billy Travers, Pete Ladd, and my all-time favorite player Mike Caldwell. However we also got to meet Coaches, Head coaches, even the GM Harry Dalton a few times. But Bob Uecker, I was able to meet him multiple times over multiple years and EVERY TIME, EVERY SINGLE TIME he was always decent, kind, considerate, and very good about signing for kids. He even told a few stories. It was truly a amazing experience and one I'll cherish forever!
I don't watch much sports beyond baseball, but hearing BA's voice on March Madness is special, because it means baseball season will start in a couple of weeks.
Surprised they don't give Brian a parking spot and the greenlight as well as he's almost been in Milwaukee for 20 years. Seems like a good guy outside of broadcasting.
Bob is still announcing. He stopped doing away games a couple of years ago. This year he has missed several home games too. I hope the Brewers get whatever they need at the trade deadline to win him a World Series ring. He’s one of the best parts of summer in Wisconsin. I love him. He was a little funnier when the Brewers were terrible because when they were getting their butts kicked, he would tell really long stories about the past. Now that they’re better, he doesn’t have as much time to tell stories. He still cracks me up though. They had Bark at the Park night a few weeks ago. His partner mentioned it and Bob said ”Yeah, I know. I stepped in it.”
Bob Uecker is a national treasure!
Just a bit outside....Loved Bob in the movie major league..
If the MLB (as so many claim) is scripted, they BETTER script Bob calling a World Series win for the Crew before he's gone! God Bless Uecker!
While I agree with you, it won't happen with the CHEAP OWNER WE HAVE!
@@EdsterIII That's why i don't believe it's "scripted" because Jerry Jones would have paid any amount to see his Cowpies win again.
God Damn Milwaukee legend
