Prism flash, very solid still for an older paddle. At the 99 dollar point the jellybean is a newer option. I'm glad to see paddletek back with good options despite missing your list. My stats vid coming up puts Thompson high up, have you tried the Twill?

Didn't get to play with the jellybean yet so couldn't include it there, same with paddletek for the most part, they've been hard for me to get a hold of. I think they'll both be in the mix in 2025 though!. Never heard of the twill

@ThePickleballBlast good info, thank you. Thompson is made in Michigan, so that is good alone to see made in USA. Good specs too

Good video, man! I would have liked to have seen your thoughts for the 11SIX24 Jelly Bean for Best Control. Also, try to have a paddle of the year selection to help bring the award video to a good close. Keep up the good work, man 🤙🏾

Appreciate it! Should have the 11six24 lineup en route to me but didn't have them yet so couldn't speak to them too much. And yah already thought of a few more categories for next year. Won't lie, this was a very last minute video haha. Saw every other creator in the space making one and figured I had to!

I got you. It’s all good. Looking forward to more of your content and paddle reviews for 2025, man!

You mentioned if you had to wait a couple months for the power category, it might have a different answer...are you talking about the 11six24 power?

I can’t disagree with any of your choices…so here is a suggestion try the J2k PRO….more power more pop huge sweet spot and great control without having to add any tungsten tape.

I have hit some of the hololulu paddles but just haven't played extensively with anything. I am trying to get on their radar to test out some paddles for them at the moment, hopefully it comes to fruition! In fact that was one of the main paddles I had in mind when mentioning that there were some contenders that I feel like I'm missing

Shoutout to the invader! Such a great paddle!
One topic I haven’t heard anyone discuss is why don’t we see many pros using different face layups? I’ve heard some pros have fiberglass in their layup but are any pros using Kevlar or PET yet? Maybe a fun topic to discuss at some point!

It's been a blast to play with!
That's a great question and would be a good podcast topic as I think it requires a more in depth discussion (is this a hint at a future podcast? Maybe haha), But I think it somewhat boils down to most pros are sponsored, most companies sponsoring pros are the big ones, and I'm not sure if the big companies are just not as incentivized to experiment or if there size actually works against them there (much easier to test the market with a batch of 500 paddles instead of 25,000 or something). I don't really know the answer though that's just my top of head thoughts, it's an interesting point though!

@ that’s awesome! You should totally consider a podcast in the near future! It’s a big commitment but you are really well spoken and have great energy!
Makes sense about the big companies being slower to move! 2025 is going to be a great year for pickleball!
